Good morning, Mark and fellow weather watchers. This morning the Orchard Cottage Weather Center in Oakdale, CA reported a low of 64°. As of 9 am its 84°. That is 1° warmer than this time yesterday. Winds out of the SW 1-4 mph. 39% humidity. Thank for the updated information from the Mark Finan Weather and Fire Watch Center. Bill
Mark, thank you for this briefing. Being out of state, I have to rely on the Watch Duty app and your forecasts/updates to keep "in the know". We have been having smoke issues in Southern Idaho primarily from the Cow Creek/Durkee Fires in SE Oregon for almost 4 weeks now (winds blowing smoke into both Boise & Twin Falls areas). AQI has been around 90-100. We had severe thunderstorms/rain/wind last night temporarily pushing all out. When I awoke this morning, I could smell smoke, and AQI was 160 at 6 am. I knew right then and there that was smoke from the Park Fire in Chico, CA. I pray for some type of containment today!
Mark is getting us conditioned to using centigrade by not mentioning Fahrenheit. This is a pity. His listeners know how 90 Fahrenheit feels but not whatever degrees centigrade feels. He understands that people need to change even at the most basic, mundane level. This is a pity.

Its best to use both and remain flexible. Farenheit is more accurate in my opinion, C is a much coarser...since tenths are not used.
