You'll need the following:
40 inches of 2.25 inch grosgrain
3 inches matching 5/8 inch grosgrain
zip tie
1 alligator clip
glue gun
sharp scissors

I've tried this bow so many times and finally....success! It takes lots of practice to get the angles just right. This is the best tutorial I've seen for this bow and I've watched a lot of them. I think what really helps are the folds and getting those lines in the ribbon. That makes all the difference in getting it even. Thanks so much for great instruction and method!

Great instructions I love the boutique look.
What helped me more than anything is her saying the third and fourth loops don't line up UNDER the first and second loops. They line up to the side with just the edges under each other. I kept trying to put the full width of the ribbon under all the loops so they set directly on top of each other. I was so wrong! Thank you for your excellent video.

Thank you! We think you'll LOVE the process! It's the easiest boutique bow we've ever made. If you're new to making these, don't be surprised if it takes you a little while to get comfortable starting the accordion fold. It can feel a little clumsy the first few times! Just remember to try and keep they layers from slipping around while you fold - keep your grip tight while you fold, make sure your folds are helping *hold* the layers in place, not letting them slip here-and-there. This helps you keep your loops symmetrical (but really, this bow looks great even when it's not perfect ;D). Thanks for commenting, Evelyn!

Same here! I have been struggling with the wire and as soon as i saw she used a zip tie i tried it again and was so much easier!

Great video & liked how slow she was talking & making the bow. My only question is, when bringing the ribbon across each other, since it’s at a angel would the fold marks cross each other like a X? I’ve tried making them & that’s my biggest problem.

This looks too difficult! My daughter wants bows galore but I don't know if I could do this. :/
Amy - you can do it! Just take one length of ribbon and say to yourself "I'll keep using this one till I get it right!" It's ok if the final bow is messy and the ribbon is not perfect; when you learn how to do it, you can make it beautiful every time! Just takes about 10 times of folding it to get it the way you want to. Tip: pay attention to your accordion-fold and try to get it really precise :) If your folds are even your bow will look very beautiful when it's finished :)
What size is the finished bow?
This bow will end up being anywhere from 5 - 6" in width. Let us know if you need anything else!
