The ol' grey mare just ain't what she used to be! Thrilled to death! Big thank-you for all the work and effort that went into putting this thing together. I'm absolutely elated and super proud!! Looking forward to the first tow and getting out of the slow lane on grades!
Sounds like Papa Stump will have an excellent tow pig for a long time to come. Everything looks really clean how Myer built it. Love that double transmission cooler set up. Very cool!
An idea I’ve had for a while that we will get to test on our dyno hopefully soon. But with a setup that’s over pumped per say. The injector may be incapable of flowing what the pump is pushing at full rack you would see a higher injector line pressure with a long bleed down phase increasing the actuator injection duration some, so it would be interesting to see what would happen if the plate was moved back to reduce max rack travel and injection duration to the point that matches up with the injectors optimized flow vs pressure window. We know we loose power in mechanical systems if we over injector, so what happens when we under injector and try to over flow it, a lot of the smoke could just be from excessive duration in the system. Just random ideas I’ve had. We have a 94 with a built 12 mill in stock sticks that should be a really good test bed for this idea. But you may also have a really good test bed for the concept as well.
High performance 12 valves have been tuned to 600 to 650 HP for 20 years now, long before strokers even existed. The power, while keeping EGTs down, has always been there. Towing with that much power is another matter. Above 450 HP, towing up long steep grades on hot summer days, the problem becomes engine cooling on a 2nd Gen. Address the radiator for an ultimate towing rig. I also believe a manual valve body isn't near as slick as an Anteater for street and towing. Keep up the good work.
I wondered how the 6.1 12 valve would do as far as torque . I like to watch these but I would only be interested in usable power to tow . I also been told the 450 500 range before the cooling system is taxed. I had some problems with heat in my 95 so I installed a MIshimoto radiator in it . . I can see why you fellow like automatic transmission I don't think a standard could stand that kind of torque . That is a nice build . If you guys get time I like to see how the truck does towing . Thanks for you time .
That’s sweet. Further down about the 625 studs and the hot install if you need to do a hot retorque also curious about that. Excited to see some towing videos with this beast!
Nice video you guys are a humble smart crew I love it. I only order from pdd for many reasons but humble is one of them. I have a hx super 9 I’d like to stack a turbo on top of it I’ll call and talk to you guys to get more info.
Awesome video. I have heard you talk about tuning before and thought I heard there was a service through PDD that I can do data logging with my autocal and you can review it and see if it looks good. I am not having issues but it being a very generic tune I know there is probably better options for climate and elevation here in Utah. Let me know thanks
I’ve always been an advocate for clean power. Main reason being every Karen, and chad that sees a truck rolling coal is on the phone crying about emissions.
@horsetorquesdiesel love y’all’s videos, best source of Cummins info on TH-cam hands down. But was that a door number I see? C’mon now big dog. OPSEC.. none of us wanna see you or yours hurt or threatened by anyone. Keep up the good work Chief
Have basically the same build. I'm running a superbee special 62 over a custom FMW 76MM and 19.5* timing with a 215 pump. Hitting 82lbs of boost with the secondary gated at 35psi. Full fuel (no plate, housing FF, racked barrels, 2095, PDD delivery valves, billet housing) and I make only a VERY slight haze at full throttle. Not sure why this is so smokey. Industrial Injection 5x14
@@horsetorquesdiesel I’m interested to see the drive pressure numbers with the 87 turbine. Seems like a no brainer to get some more pep out of a s400 in a compound setup.
I found the 131's work the best on a street rig. They provide a cleaner cut off and less injector needle bounce. The cc's you loose with the smaller dv's weren't fuel you needed anyway. They make your injection event longer which isn't something you want unless smoke and heat are your goals.
@@witcher71 Smaller injectors would really limit the max power output. I know 5x14 extrude hones can easily support mid 600rwhp. My next upgrade for clean power would be going to a 13mm pump and less rack travel.
It’s really great to see Meyer back on the show keep up the great work guys
I do what I can!
Meyer has his own channel I believe.

Keeping the smoke down is admirable, another great vid guys

Myer did an outstanding job to this dually...😬👏🏻👍🏻
Those trucks are my life.

Keep them the smoke down boys epa watching all over.
That's an awesome truck it even looks great to 👍
As always God bless and stay safe

Great Video Josh...12 valve goals!!
Thank you sir.
That double stack cooler is pretty smart idea.
I agree Myer did great!
i love the 12v dyno stuff. be really cool to see the power numbers once optimized.
Yes sir!
What are the chances of you being able to do a unboxing and review on those PDD gauge in the future. Looks like some quality gauges.
That's my boss Pete 🤘🤘

Great video again, lol. I really like the exhaust tip
#kustom
That’s a sweet build. Always wanted a towing tuned clean burning 12v.
Wait for the next video!!!
Build me one of these for my idi dump truck. Also want to see a ride along video towing like you did with your 05
Sounds amazing.

Not with a previous hot retorque
Awsome build
Now this is my kind of build. Sick videos man. Thanks for the great content.
Anytime!
Another great Vid, that sweet 12v tone is perfect 👌👌
It’s sounds great.
Keep that kid away from a video game and you’ll be golden! Ask me how I know?
He’s a big outdoor playing kid!
Nice 2nd gen Cummins sounds good by the way
Nice work guys keep it up and teach the kid early
Oh ya! Get him hooked
I thank my dad every day , for teaching me how to work on all this stuff
Pretty awesome video man
Thank you!
Your son is awesome ! He is going to be a Lady Killer !!! So damn Cute !!
We shall see!

Hope you do a dyno run on the stock 5TH gen HO. Curious what the stock whp is.
We will!
That’s is a sweet setup
Super responsive
Cool gauges with memory, what gauges were those ?
Power driven diesel
How much would a build like this cost with a swap into a 93 f350?
I have the exact same truck minus all the mods lol I love my 12v to my core frfr
So awesome
12v Content with the little man!
That’s how I got hooked from my dad.
I looked back though the videos but did yal run a 4" flopro on that truck?
Yes sir

I see alot of guys run arp 425 and 625. How does another brand such as optitorque stack up to arp?
Ayeee let's goo another video !!
4:51 he looks scared 😱 lol

Curious why not just use the 6.7 block?
Looking forward to waste gate tuning
Need to offer a bundle for a similar build on pdd site ( could call it papa stump kit) id love to have that much power in my 12v
Where do you guys set your piston to wall and ring gap on a build like this?
Why not just a 12 valve with a 6.7 block and some compounds?
Where can I get those gauges? I can’t ever find those on the site just oil and fuel pressure. I would love to have that truck
Its under gauge packages.
But is it usable for towing with egts
Yep works extremely well
never been so early
Why didn't she ever clean up on fuelling whe just kept running coal
👍
Sounded like the wastegate was open early on.
We have to do some tuning for sure!
