Hotel Review - Royal Sands, Cancun Mexico

- After having a great experience at one of their sister properties a few years ago -- the Royal Caribbean -- we decided to try another Royal resort when returning to Cancun this year. The Sands is a bit newer (2005) but has the same basic design. It works quite well if you're traveling with a group. This is a timeshare resort, but they rent unsold weeks to the public like a hotel.

If you go back to ixtapa can you revisit the service elevators at the sunscape dorado Pacifico hotel?
Ceiling fans aren't meant to be controlled off dimmer switches. The dimmer in your room probably came in a box saying "not to be used on ceiling fans." They can burn the motors out if used for too long. Capacitor based speed controls are preferred.

This place is just awesome. I think if a music group were to come to Cancun to perform, this would be a great choice.

Wow this nicer than my apartment! I wouldn't want to be there during a hurricane though.
You need to go to the following if you really enjoy old architecture that has been well maintained:: The Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, Michigan and The Greenbriar, White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia. They are the most marvelous hotels I've ever visited. Far better than the old hotel in San Diego. Can't recall the name of that one but it is where they filmed Some Like It Hot.

You should try revisiting the Sunscape Ixtapa to see if the service elevators are improved... or not..

I watched those Worst Elevator in the world series he did on YT, I wanted to see if he would return 10 years later to see what has improved or not.
@@STUAA2024 I just found out that it’s in Guerrero, which is one of the violent states in MX so I doubt he’ll visit there in the future
