All fxckxng critics are only h i n d r e d artists - thats the truth. they lack any fantasy and creativity. Rarely do they have any compliments . . . these stingy guys . . .
As a Serbian currently residing abroad, I was so touched when I stumbled upon his work randomly on some art page, because I always felt like Slav culture and history were severely underrepresented. I think his works and colour palette that he used represent our mentality quite on point. As a fun fact, one of the 20 paintings that wasn't shown in this video is also the coronation of a medieval Serbian emperor Stefan Dusan. Thank you so much for sharing this documentary, it's marvellously done!
i know im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Knox Sergio thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This was truly the most fascinating art documentary I ever experienced. Thank you for posting. I only recognise Mucha's name because I framed his 4 seasons posters ages ago for a client, never knew what a fascinating man this really was. One of the great (almost under cover) artistic giants. Thanks for posting.
I have a presentation to make on this lovely artist only knowing the work of his postrers and this documentary has given me a new perspective on his work and its meaning
The exhibition in Prag is open now, it is at "Obecní dům" but in a modern way: Thanks to the highly professionally processed digital movement of Mucha's posters, in the world premiere from the summer of 2020, visitors will find themselves face to face with animated models, surrounded by scenes from the Slavic Epic and even Alfons Mucha himself speaks to them.
After the 1910s, I think he devoted his time entirely to creating large oil paintings, and he didn't produce 'posters' any more (please check this as I have researched his life many years ago).
Does anyone know if the leather artist, Merlin, in Berlin, has a website or is still in business? At 25:14 or so in the video. I tried googling but no dice, but I am an elder millennial and not great at interwebs
man its actually surprisingly hard to find documentaries on google so im really glad someone uploaded this. this is great!
It's amazing that his critics are all dead and forgotten, and Mucha is getting major recognition everywhere.

Charcoal through tracing paper is called a pounce.Michael Angelo used it & it was used on billboards.
Who is Michael Angelo?
His art made me realize that I'm attracted to women lol
This is so good, that I was sad when it was over.
He was a genius with a brush but how did he find time to do so many great paintings?

right? he is amazing! And the Slav Epic is a masterpiece! XX
I've asked myself the same question
In those years there was no social media to lower attention spans and waste time
Excelente documental- Gracias

I liked the subtitles...What language have I inadvertently learned? Danish? Thanks
Close - it's Swedish :)
There wouldn't happen to be official documentation for this, to cite? I assume it's by the history chanel

What kind of paint did he use?
Have no idea, but must be documented somewhere..
sketches in watercolor and gouache , posters were lithographs, Slav Epic under-painting in egg tempera finished in oil. Things mentioned in the doc.

A wonderful insight of a man who must be recognized as a Titan of Art.
