Zorawar is an assembled tank with most parts from foreign countries. There is hardly anything they did. You can't expect miracle in 2 years. Its just a media gimmick for the whole Indian population. If we assume it will be a success, then I am sure it will take 6 to 7 years for its development. And a lot if things can happen during that period, specially by China.

1) those 130-140mm guns will not be production ready for atleast the end of this decade. And even if they does, 120mm is more than enough firepower to destroy any currently known armour. 2) tbh i would also want to know why IA is obsessed with 4 crew member. And its not like its a new thing, army have always been obsessed with 4 crew men. 3) idk.

Good news, let’s hope we focus on getting platform and core requirements right first, then integration of rest of the features are developed and user testing almost in parallel ( Agile-Continuous development), so we don’t get any surprises later on. Also , based on our previous experience with L1 process, a more comprehensive selection criteria, that assures quality and addresses the risks of non-delivery and price escalation disputes later.

No wonder it takes decades to get approval for any new defence aquisition. The process and the sub processes there in are sooo time-consuming and arduous. And that does not even include the YEARS it takes just to START the 1st delivery and finally completion of order.
i think 125mm smoothbore gun is more suitable for our tank..because we have a large number of T90 and T72 tanks and also have large number of 125mm rounds..So to shift from 125mm to 120mm will create a challenge..and improved 125mm gun used in T14 armata has impressive firepower..so we need to retain the 125mm smoothbore gun in our future tank..Jay Jagannath Jay Hind
What happened to Arjun tank, 5:32 we were about to make Arjun mrk 2. Why the Alpha Defence is elaborating the zillion year procedures of MOD. We all know that this is the most awful and pathetic process. And as per our Indian Roads and Railway the Tank should not be track but TRUCK based, it will be well suited as most of the Railway tracks are accident prone and Roads have more potholes rather than road it self. I know this because there was no mention of a communication jammer (to jam the drone's data links) or an RCWS mounted auto canon that would act as a hard kill system. So, if things do end up according to this GSQR or whatever, these so called FRCVs will have no defense against the deadliest and likely the most abundant of anti-tank weapons.
