Just ordered my bundle, with this being my first mic I plan to use for an upcoming ep. Thanks for the helpful video! This was the final puzzle I needed to reassure me it was the right set up to go for
I was amazed at how much difference the shield makes. It raps around the microphone and provides great soundproofing. The cool part is I tried this with other mics in my collection and got similar responses. You are not obligated to use the mic that comes with the set, although I will say it is an excellent mic. This has become my go-to setup for recording Acoustic guitar and vocals.
I have a question. I was recently gifted this microphone to use it for recording podcasts. So in this case I am sitting down and would like to have the microphone in front of me on the table. But somehow I am not able to find a standard to hold the microphone, not even on the website of se electronics. Do you maybe have a recommendation or advice?
It is a regular boom mic stand with the boom removed. You can get them anywhere. The sE X1 bundle is a complete package it comes with everything you need.

The mic that comes with the SE X1 is a condenser mic. It is a professional mic used in recording applications. Condenser mics like this require a power source in order to work. Some condenser mics take batteries and others use something called phantom power. This mic only uses phantom power. You will find this type of power source built into mixing boards and audio interfaces. A button that has the number 48v is usually a phantom power source. Guitar amps don't have this. The mic that comes with this is really good but it needs to be powered from a phantom power source. The sound proofing part of the kit works well too and that was what I wanted. The cool thing is you can still switch out the mic and use a different one with the soundproofing part of the kit. I use different mics with it. However, to use the included mic you will need a mixer with phantom power or an audio interface with phantom power. It does not take batteries.
Any boom mic stand should work as long as the boom part will screw off from the base. You should go counterclockwise. The whole boom assembly should come off. Then the sE system should mount on top of the base microphone stand.
I don't know for sure. The mic that comes with it is a condenser mic. This means it requires a power source which is usually built into mixers. However there is a version sE Electronics Reflexion Filter X Portable Vocal Booth without the mic. Then you would add your own USB mic. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ReflexionX--se-electronics-reflexion-filter-by-portable-vocal-booth
You don't need a mixer. you need an audio interface. This is a device that plugs into your computer via USB. It typically has mic inputs and quarter-inch jacks for guitar. An audio interface can start at around $150.00. They take the place of your computers sound card and they are used to record music. search for them on musicians friend or your favorite online music store. If you have one and can't get it to work be more specific about your problem. I will see if I can help.
Смотря какой пантограф. Дешёвый не выдержит. А вообще можно, конечно, главное резьба чтобы сходилась (по необходимости использовать переходник на резьбу)
It's really not that heavy. That really surprised me. It is light and very effective. You just tighten it up like you would any mike stand. My biggest surprise was the quality of the mic. This is a great way to mic acoustic guitars. I may just do a video recording acoustic guitar with this thing..
It was just a basic mic stand that I got from guitar center. The boom part can be removed. Just unscrew it from the bass part of the stand. Most boom mic stands will do this.

Marcus Curtis Music except the stand correct?
@@AGPLiLTrill Correct, just a regular mic stand is the only other thing you will need.

Why doesnt my SE X1s work directly olugged into my amp?

Does anyone know how to put the volume from the microphone harder?
You can't "turn up" mic volume, that is controlled by whatever you have it plugged into , does what you've got it in use phantom power ??
can the height of the microphone be lowered?
everything is adjustable
does anyone know how much this shock mount weighs on its own i need to see if my gravity goose arm will be able to hold it thanks
Will any boom mic stand work, I just bought one but it’s not coming off please help

How did you stabilize your mic stand so that the the reflection filter and L bracket doesn't make the mic pole slide down?

@@marcuscurtismusic would that mic stand happen to be the MG100B tripod boom mic stand?
