This is the iPad that I have and use everyday, it hasn’t let me down at all. I am not a content creator, I am a locksmith and the apps that I have compliment my life and business by keeping all of my catalogues and notes and customers in order.
I still use mine, I run a Locksmith business and it gets everything from inventory to invoicing done for me, along with all of my daily work.

@@ObbyKingdom It's been going great so far so good. The iPad already came with 16.1 update everything is good the battery life is also good .Their were no scratches. I think it's worth it in my opinion. Hope this comment helped! 🙂
@M3GAN The reasons your games might be crashing is because of your storage space or maybe your iPad isn't updated to the most available IOS. I play Roblox just fine and I'm on the 16.1 update some games don't work but that could be because of the model.

I have a universal license with affinity photo so I'm thinking about buying this iPad for drawing, it would make a great secondary display tablet when I don't want to sit at my computer.
Just got an IPad 9th generation to replace my 6th generation! Giving it to my sister. Still works fine, but wanted the faster processor and 64 gb.

I got the ipad 6 when it was released because i REALLY needed to get a new tablet. my old one was crappy and broken.
I have the 7th generation but everyone in my school has the pro loll I’m glad to see someone actually drawing on an old iPad tho cuz people say the 7th generation is one of the worst iPads

Do you recommend this for note taking and reading books? And how much storage is left. Do i need bigger storage for books??
Thanks for your comment! 🥰 Yes!! If you are going to work with PDFs or EPUB (like on a Kindle), or using GoodNotes/NoteShelf for note taking, is enough! I'm also using it for that, and I'm a PDF collector 😅 and for what I've seen nearly 300 books on PDFs (and with images) and they just take 1,8 GB of storage. And EPUBs (like Kindle format) take even less storage, so I think you have more than enough! Hope that helps 😊😊

just upgraded my daughters ipad to the pro, and keeping her ipad 6th gen, was wondering about the cheaper pencils, some are less than $50, I don't draw much, mainly use it for music, movies and some games. it's 5-6 years old now, but still works great.
I still have my 6th gen from 2018 and it’s really good I love having the home button still

I have used it with good notes and other note taking apps and works perfect! 😊 I guess if you use very big PDF files maybe it can lag a bit, but as i said, with regular digital planners and note taking I havent had any problem :)

Yes! While you use the apple pencil you can have your palm on the screen without any problem :) So comfy!
My daughter accidentally badly smashed the ipad 9th gen she got new for her bday yr of its release, her bday is 25th October and she got an iphone XR then week later amashed her beloved ipad. Given she is not our only child and is 13 to be able to replace it for xmas we got a refurbished 6th gen as she has the apple oencil uses procreate mostly . Was $100to get prob diagnosed and min $200ro replace svreen with apple not third party but as worked with smashed acreen for !onths i think moisture hes gotten in and now just displays some lines .
Ordered refurbished 128gb 6th gen for cheaper yhan diagnosis for her Christmas present that way she can use her pencil etill gets curremt updates and of course you can still get cases , the 6th gen one is also cellular not just wifi
Heyo, which ipados are you running on your iPad 6? I am still running 14 and not sure if upgrading to 15 will slow my device cos as of it's running super smooth with ipados 14.
Stay with iPadOS 14.
Do NOT upgrade to iPadOS 16, your iPad 6 will become slower just like mine now.

I updated my iPad 6th generation to iOS15.6.1 and it was one of the worst decisions I’ve made, the battery dies so quickly now compared to before I updated it that now I’m thinking of upgrading

Glad it helps!! 😊😊 Yes, they are original but refurbished (which means they have been used or in exposition, and maybe they have something fixed), so they work perfectly and are original ones! So if you are on a budget or just don't want to spend a lot, I really recommend them 😊

I was making myself this question long time ago until I decided to take it, and now im so happy I did!! 😊😊 Yes! I have the 32GB one, because that's enough for me, but if you are going to use it for more things, 128GB is great!! I also have the light gray version :) In the description I have left a link to refurbished one, that is even cheaper, and looks like new (and it's an original iPad). For video editing maybe you should get the version with more GB, seeing that working with video takes more space on the device. And then I would research exactly which app you want to use and check if it's compatible with the iPad 6th gen. For the rest is still a very good iPad even if it's from 2018! :)

I usually use Shotcut, a free software. But I heard you can't use it on an iPad. I guess iMovie could do the job (it is indeed just to make simple trip's videos)

I ordered a refurbished 2018 model gen 6 off of Amazon’s Renewal store for $140! I am waiting for it to arrive and I would be happy to share how it is when it arrives!

Thank you for your nice coment! 🥰 I got mi iPad directly from a seller (i live in Spain), but are the same "philosophy" of refurbished ones of Amazon, so you can have great prices for very nices articles that are like new! 🤩 So, I highly recomend them to save some money. And in any case that you are not satisfied, you can always return it. But with mine, I havent had any problem at all! So happy with it!! :D (and more because I paid less that 200$ huhuu!) Yes I think it should work fine! I watch a lot of movies and I even use it for procreate! I also use it for Instagram It's still a really good iPad! In my opinion!
If I would buy an older iPad I would rather go with the 128gb version tbh because 32 is just not worth it hell even 64 will get you sweat nowadays with how apps getting bigger and with all the updates you have daily.
I hope that Apple scraps the 32 and 64 entirely.
Yes, it's true that if you want to used it for lots of apps, you may need more GB, but if it's just for Procreate and some other app, for me works perfectly if you are on a budget 😊

It depends on the year. Every new iPad that comes out will continue to update for up to 5-6 years. Meaning old old devices should still be able to download, but they will not be updated to current updates
currently this ipad 6th has the latest iPadOS update, idk about the future updates
@@imnotjulie it does have ios16 but I personally don’t recommend updating since it causes the iPad to slow down and die immensely faster

Hi! I think you should think about your priority, if it's saving money (like it was mine at this moment), or it's to have the last updates. If the last update of Procreate in some future cant be installed in iPad 2018 wont be a problem for me, because with the last update im so happy to work on everything I want. And think also that maybe you take a newer iPad and it happens the same in some future. So I cant give you any other advise than reseach and think about your situation now. Hope it helps to clarify you thinking :)

Hey I also use krita on desktop for animations:D ,but was thinking to find myself a good Ipad , right now I have my eyes on this one , has 32 GB space enough for you so far?
For simple illustrations is fine! If you work with more layers for animations (each photogram count as a layer in Procreate) and can afford it, I would recommend to take one with more GB, but as I was in a budget and was my first iPad, Im so happy with this one! :D

Unfortunately if you work with 300dpi and 4000x4000 px yes! If you go smaller & less resolutions you cna have more! OR if you buy an iPad with more GB you will have more. But as I was on a budget, and just wanted it for simple illustrations, im so happy with it! :D

Around 170 US$ (reburbished) and so happy I did it!! (on the link I have left from Amazon, it's now aroun $150, th one of 32GB, a great deal if this is enough storage with this :) (If not, there is also other options with more) But I think taking a refurbished one instead of new one is a great option if you dont want to spend a lot of money :) Hope that helps! 😊
Is this good for animation...?
I cant really help you because I have only done a mini-animation of 3 frames :D But if you want to use it for longer animations, it would be better to take the version with more GB, seeing that it use a layer for each frame. Hope ot helps! :)
