I am planning to test ride one of those too. Looking forward to it. Riding in the rain is perfectly safe for experienced riders! Just have to be smooth with your acceleration and braking, allow extra space for stopping, extra following space. Easy peasy, and fun! Especially if it's hot outside.
I went from the Rebel 500 to the 1100 and it felt so natural and familiar. Loved the user programmable modes so I could set it up just the way I wanted it, and the cruise control etc. I did eventually swap to a Triumph Bobber though, it was just the better ride out of the two. My Rebel was in for a service, I borrowed a Bobber while I was waiting, and fell in love. But the Bobber is extremely impractical compared to the Rebel. Especially now that you can get the touring version with batwing fairing and hard bags. Had the touring Rebel been available at the time, chances are that is the bike I would be on now.
1st time on the 1100 and already owning the 500 the transition was a lot easier than expected... have to say that extra shove could become very addictive 🤣
Enjoyed that thanks Faye 👍. You’ve always got a smile on your face 😎. I see you sat on a Triumph Bobber - I bought one two weeks ago and I love it. Funny enough, I caught a glimpse of you on Saffy Sprockets ABR vid when she was trying the Ural sidecar outfit.
Aww thanks Paul yes we saw her just as she was ready to set off , was a great weekend and prob my fave bike event .. loved the bobber but would need a bar change as was a stretch for little old me 🤣
@@bikesandbrushes I’m a 5ft 5 and bit shortarse Faye. Seat height is great with flat feet down. I have a slight bit of over-reach to the bars but not too bad at all. I’ve ordered bar risers which lift them an inch and bring them back in to the rider by an inch too which will help. The seat is adjustable forward and back, the one you sat on may have been set to the more back setting ? I’ll re-look at your vid and see if I can notice that. Keep those vlogs coming 😎 Edit: just checked and seat looks forward. Bar risers will sort it, or ape hangers if you’re that way inclined.
Hello again, not seen you at B/pool honda in a while. Glad to see out enjoying life. Thanks to you guys I get to see these great venues that I'd never get to see (mental health) so thanks for that, and all the other content on both channels. Love the the paintings, I've mentioned before I like to draw/sketch so looking forward to some more 👍😎 Hope the finger situation is mended soon and normal service resumes. Thanks again Rob.
I've been following both of you for a couple of years now. both me and my partner were going through the journey to get our A licence. Unfortunately he had a stroke in May. He told me to continue the journey. And I can tell you I passed my Mod 2 last Monday 😊
Awwww so so sorry to hear about your partner 😢 Shauns mum had a really bad stroke so hoping he's gonna be on the mend soon ... As for the Mod 2 yeahhh well done you x x
Wow.... Thursday night. Dr. Feelgood live. One of my favourite bands and certainly the one i've seen live the most! Very popular around the German speaking countries. Bloody hell girl, you aint arf spinning that hand camera in a hurry..., it's makin me dizzy!!
Had one of those Cumberlands also! Was a brill weekend. My first ever trails etc. Did come off the once but was ok. Ruined my footage by heavy breathing+swearing😂
@@bikesandbrushes Yeah learnt the basics in a lesson on sunday. Will try practice this weekend! And no potty mouth😂 (When faced with a sharp hill and fearing the worst will say yipeee from now on). I sounded like Darth Vader on steroids.
