I'm glad I came across this video, brought back many memories. I was the Winter caretaker at Valhalla Lodge located on Sixmile Lake and I can't count the number of times I have been through Lake Clark Pass, never got tired of it. In the Winter, I traveled quite frequently to Illiamna to go to the store. I was the Village Santa in Nondalton for the 10 years at the lodge. Thanks for the memories.

Awesome video. Wish I could have seen my grandfather’s hotel in the video. I lived there in 1986 and went to school in Newhalen. Use to fish just up river from where you were. I’ve seen many bears in that arena. Use to shop in the store and am friends with the owner now on fb.
