when he said "its all about the approach and angle to the jump" i literally yelled YES
I don't care if I win or not, I just enjoy riding the horse and being with him/her
Same! Although I would love to compete.
I care abt winning it’s what I work for
Agreed
I agree with u and zoe
kennedy everett i agree with both because I want to win but also I love just getting to spend time with my horse.
So so good. By far one of the best equine-related videos ever made.
I guess Im asking randomly but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Caiden Kenneth Instablaster =)
It's amazing. He looks so effortless and like he's just sitting there, and then you really look at it and you see how many long and tedious hours have gone into that and you know it's not effortless even slightly, but a great rider makes it LOOK effortless.
Magnifique .
Je m'en suis bien doutée en regardant la vidéo !
Faut croire apparamment :)
J'aurais dit la même chose avec Scott Brash !
I love this video so much! I also just watch the dressage one and I really noticed how people bash dressage! I love both dressage and jumping, I admit I do dressage way more than jumping but I'm sick of people calling dressage abuse!! Jumping can be just as bad!! It is how people treat the behind the scenes!!! I don't use spurs and I hate rollkur but I am still a dressage rider!!!!!!! Sorry had to get off my chest! XD
I mostly agree with this, it is all about the type of training you do with the horse. I've seen the videos of what some people have done to train, some is absolutely great, some is horrible. Also, some horses need spurs or they won't go, if you get the right spurs and use them correctly it won't hurt the horse. :)
Helena Hart
My horse and I adore jumping... I do dressage, XC (our 2nd fav), barrels, pole bending, endurance, galloping, etc the list goes on and on and she is so good at jumping... Just listens so well and doesnt refuse.
I love working with the horses at the RDA & I love when I work with the horse that I ride when we do some show jumping.
Ben you had an sold pony caked Ben he is now at eastminster equestrian centre and I'm going to have a jumping lesson on him!!! You are my idol I have always cheered you on and wanted you to win fom when I was 7 and every time I go to olympia you are a awesome jumper!! - Georga
Its not always about winning..i show jump for the adrenaline rush when u hear the buzzer...and the feeling of flight just before the fence😍😍😍😍😍🐎
He’s my idol. He’s such an inspiration and of course triple x is a legend too
I love how everyone in this CARES SO MUCH about these beauties! 💖💕 You deserve to be where you are in your career!
Such beautiful animals, a really well made video gave me goosebumps!
Amazing!! What a gorgeous horse!
wow. So true! This gave me so much hope
I love finally finding a video where no one is getting a pissy about how "their position isn't actually very good" etc. As long as the distances are good, the leg is stable and you're not coming up too early the position is fine xD
by my experience more modern jumping training seems to focus a lot more on the back position etc AND THAT'S OK omfg.
Sophia- Maria thank you! I'm not the only one who thinks this YES!!!!!
Ya my old trainer gave a huge ribbon for jumping position but a smaller one for grooming WTF
amazing. love this so much
Love this wee vid x
This is amazing!
we loved this!!!!!!!!!!!
very good teamwork and nice horses
hes such an inspiration!
I am a show jumper as well and I know how much work it I and I am happy your horses are getting all of that
Got really excited watching this realising it's at quainton stud...
I want to jump that high one day 🙄
Don't c what the lie is but if dissing people's goals is your thing than u r a jerk
Katarina Wojcik I just looked at your channel, you're jumping cross rails. there's not a problem with that, even if jumping 1.60 is your dream I support you 100%. please just don't lie on the Internet. have a nice day! I hope that you can fulfil your dream one day! (really I'm not being sarcastic)
Katarina Wojcik oh yeah. Sure, how long have you been riding for then?
I'm 12 and have been riding 9 years but the highest I jump is 1 metre.
Not quite sure I believe you. You're probably exaggerating just a bit.
Katarina Wojcik that's nice :) People who are saying she's lying you don't know how old that picture is. Also Katarina please don't brag.
Katarina Wojcik no one cares
The olympics are a dream of us all riders, but the sport is ridiculously expensive. I am happy with my mare if she is healthy and having a good time. I don’t have the money to be able to access the big shows, but as long as my mare and I are together there is nothing else I want
WHat people don’t understand most of the time is that if the horse really didn’t wanna move, it would not move. You can’t force a horse to piaffe or jump over whatever. You don’t just sit on the horse and say “walk”. No. We literally need to have checklists in our brain EVERY second of riding
I'm going to saddle up my horse right now and dream that we are at this level!
I can't wait for my first show jumping
great horsemanship !!!!
beautiful!
Incredible. Love the video
Amazing.
It's all about the money and the people you know at the end of the day! It makes me sad that me and my pony will unfortunately never be able to compete at that level😢
This is absolutely fantastic 👌🏼
its not about winning! its about having fun !
LMAO not if you are doing it professionally, and as a main source of income.
Perhaps for you. Not for the horse
Equestrian Sophie yes it is but we need to check if the horse is having fun first
Nope. Its about focus, safeness, carefulness, calmness. Maybe when you’re done showing you can have fun, but its a serious sport.
That dream Pony I know when they said "we take good care of them so they can be the best in show" I was really shocked because I thought they want them to live a good life and they just want to win ribbions and medals
Triple X - the most incredible horse
Love the horse, enjoy the sport.
thanks i needed to see that link
Those jumps would be like flying!
wow, the black one's gorgeous!
This is such an amazing video! All the very best for Ben Maher!
So never ever give up youre dreams. My goal is OL one day, even if i'm in a low level now.. But Ben Maher, you give me inpiration to do it! Tripple X and Cella
wow!!!!! I want to be just like you! I cantered through an obstacle course for the first time, my heart pounding when I ride, I have an amazing horse, I'll be there too !
That's awesome!
I love this! Ben Maher, so inspirational! Triple X is such a superstar!
A.M.A.Z.I.NG!! WOW
if i'm right, its tripple X, hes amazing! so beautiful!
Muito lindo! amo
bloody hell, that horse o.O it is perfection
I ride. I love horses. I went 2 the olympics, horse equestion 2 watch them last year. They were gorgeous
In my riding lessons we need to be brave... This is just so brave XD
Im trying to work up to this. I’ve been riding since I was 6 and I want to keep working. I don’t have a lot of money but it’s something I will continue to work at
I think that the best horses are the horses that had a hard time learning and have grown to love this stuff
Hey, I just wanted to say that most people who don't know a lot about this jumping type sport are probably thinking, "POOR THING! They are basically shoving something hard in their mouth and forcing it to jump! AHHH!!" Well, actually that's not the case. I've been riding horses long enough to know horses actually, like to work (not meaning that in they always have to work they totally like it.) When some people think about owning a horse, they (probably) imagine having it in a beautiful field while feeding tasty treats to the horse, and giving it the luxury life. Most people think they would be the best horse owner!!!! No No NO. Your horse would actually be very unhappy. Horses might love their freedom, but the love to work hard also. When you ride a horse, they like it because in their mind it's actually fun to challenge themselves. And this also keeps them healthy and strong. But, if you're reading this comment, that's not just how it works. Horses need their time to work and too need their time to rest. Sometimes, if you work a horse too hard, they can overheat. They can also become hyper almost. They can start behaving badly. This shows you might have worked them to hard. Usually, a great 3 to 2 hour ride is well enough. But if you're training 4 hours might be good also. If you're choosing 4 hours or 3 you might want to give your horse a bath, they sure can get sweaty!! What I'm trying to say is, these horses aren't being abused and forced to work over jumps. In some cases, that happens. But you have to remember that not all horses are treated badly.
Omg thank you I completely agree with you!
honey ive been riding horses and actually working WITH horses long enough to know that NO, they don't want to fucking win omfg bhahahah. do you pay for horse whisperers to tell you that your horse wants a fuckig carrot, too? omfg. they NEED to be exercised, they do NOT need to be in the OFTEN times abusive, fucked up horse industry. Bits are NEVER nice, but most of them aren't the worst thing out there. get your head out of your ass. You do realize non-horse people are the main reason abuse in the horse industry exists right? (look at the Big Lick, rollkur in dressage, bearing reins in carriage horses, etc). You're literally feeding into it. excuse my french throughout this, im just sick of hearing this equestrian-in-denial absolute horseshit.
nope, you're right that the horses in this video are treated much better than most high-level horses. (nothing revolts me more than an in-denial-equestrian saying "the high-level horses get vEt CHeCkeD, sO thEy gEt the BesT cArE aNd aRe NEVER abUsed" yikes...)
they get vet checked because they're not gonna make much money from a horse that cant jump well
Wolfie Draws wow your horses must be scared of you
This video is so inspiring!
superb
I LOVE THIS VIDEO ♥
😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️I love him. He's so great
That's the excellence
That is the language bowing of gold and silver!

I wish I could go to Olympics but I never will be that good 🙁🙁
xKinga thanks
xKinga thanks 🙂
Megan Follows you will be that good
dream life but I don't even have my own horse let alone I being able to buy one until I am a lot older 😞😕
Molly A I also have the passion and the dedication but I can't afford my own horse or to loan one but I do have lessons but I wish I could do more shows with my own so unless I somehow get a horse I will never be able to do that
That was AWSOME
I would give A LOT to ride one of these horses even just for a hour
*AMEN* 👏
a rider is as only as good as they treat their horse! I love hearing the top equestrian's mention their horses talents :)
I want to ask something. Is he was some kind of poor when he was young? Cause i am 13 and i haven't started jumping yet and i am praying God to have one of these horses and be in the Olympings when i grow up...
Yea, he is not from an equestrian or rich family. He’s a self made showjumper and proud of it❤
😍😍😍
Wow!!!! I have the same saddle like Ben Mayer❤️😄
gostei de todos
this has nothing to do with the actual video but the title
UNDER PRESSURE DING DING DING DIDIDIDING
What is the red lights in the cross ties for?

Superbe
wat is het verschil tussen showjumping en gewoon springen?
show jumping is when your in a show and your jumping doing courses, normal jumping is when your at your barn just jumping not at a show ground :)
damn. this video is bomb
ikr
I will *never* understand what on earth would make you sell such a horse (I mean Tripple X). Was he overruled by co-owners or something?
Amazing
What is the red
Can I use these please?
MissBailey I'm sure they wouldn't mind, just give credit.
That was a really lone time ago and I can't even remember what I wanted them for. X
Oh hahah sorry!x
I wish I could go to the olympics... but that's one dream of mine I can never have. I wish I could :(
he is really good him and his amazing horse
I want to win too...
Equiline from Italy
I do show jumping and I only use a crop but I never hit hard
For all you haters saying this is an easy sport and that showjumping is rubbish, listen to this.
Have you ever trusted your life into a different language creature? Have you ever put your life at risk to satisfy others? Have you ever trained for months on end and have people saying what you do is easy? Think hard about this before disliking.
When horses Foam at the mouth it means loosen up on the rains because there mouth is sore
They don't care about the horses, only the winning and the money
Its their job, but they treat them better then some people who doesn't compete
I am pushing my limit because I want to go to to the Olipics I am getting extra training
