When I was 6 I told my mom that I needed glasses. She thought I was lying because some of my friends had glasses. Fast forward about five months of me complaining that I couldn't see. My mom finally gives in and takes me to the optometrist. Turns out I did need glasses. I got my first pair of glasses two months before my seventh birthday. I was genuinely surprised at the details in the world.
Same here except my mom thought I was lying until 3rd grade after teachers kept calling her saying that I literally can't see😂😂

LOL same, I kept telling my mom I needed glasses. I literally had to sit in the teachers chair to see the printing on the smart board. I finally got my first pair of glasses near the end of 2nd grade. My mom felt so bad seeing my vision was horrible. 😂😂😂

Our house has 4 people living in it. My aunt, my grandma, my grandpa, and me. We all need to wear glasses. (I need to wear glasses cus my eye's hurt everytime i use gadgets.)

I had to get glasses when I was 5. My eye sight is getting progressively worse every year. My doctor is worried because I’m on track to becoming legally blind. I have the worst eye sight in my family and they don’t know where it is coming from.

A friend of mine actually told me about how they FAKED it:
I wear glasses and she keeps telling me how much she wants to have some too, and she told me about her failed attempt to do so: She went to the doctor who told her to read the letters on the board, and she said that she tried to fake squinting and _stuttering_ (which was what exposed her), the doctor then tested which kind of glasses helps her, and as soon as she tried the first one, she read all the letters correctly (even the smallest ones). It was later said that she didn't need glasses because the ones on the vision test were actually normal glass that's often used in cars

Some people are just born with worse vision than others. Some people inherit bad vision if it runs in the family and other times people just develop bad vision from doing things like reading in the dark, using electronics a lot, being too close to the TV and looking at the sun(which u shouldn't do). Some(or many, idk) of the people with glasses don't actually have terrible eyesight, they're just near sighted and everything is blurry when they see things from more than a few feet in front of them. That can also happen vise versa, where people can see things from far away but need glasses to see things close to them.
When I was younger I thought people with glasses looked cute(I still think that, as well as freckles and braces) so I wanted glasses. I never pretended to need them tho. I'm short sighted (there was a name for the condition but I forgot). I need glasses to see the white board at school and my short sight proved to be annoying when I moved to a middle school with bigger classrooms. I first got glasses in 3rd grade but I lost those glasses and never bothered replacing them since I didn't need them at the time(small classes). But when I got to 6th grade I had to get tested and get a new pair of glasses since I was practically blind, I don't like getting up to go to the board and I don't like asking people to tell me what's on the board.
From my experience glasses are a burden (at least for me, cuz if you lose that shit then good luck) so don't be too excited to get them, that feeling will only last for a week or two. I only wear my glasses when I need to look at the white boards at school, when I order from far away menus and occasionally when I want to clearly watch TV. Other than that I just deal with the blurred vision because I'd like to spend my day lying on the side of my face and not continuously pushing up my glasses. I'd much rather contacts, even though I never tried them.

that's true. i need special glasses to see in the sun and looking at screens because i have sensitive eyes and they are slowly getting damaged. but they're annoying. i haven't worn them in a while and now i think i should because my eyes are burning for staring at the screen for too long

I think I might know why you get headaches. If you don't wear you glasses often, then that will be somewhat of the reason why you get them. I personally think the glasses look cute on you. Another reason could be that maybe you weren't getting enough water or enough oxygen. Sometimes if the oxygen is kinda low, you can sometimes get headaches. I figured out that if I didn't get enough water I would get headaches. Hope this helps you with the problem!

In elementary school, I remember having headaches for one week straight. It was always at reading. They sent me to the nurses office every time until the nurse didn't give me any more medicine. The teacher probably thought I faked it to skip reading, the nurse probably got tired of me coming there.
My sister had a friend who would always fake being injured. She'd come to school saying she had broken her wrist then the next day saying she broke her leg. One day she was caught faking having a broken ankle for a few days just so she can go to music class using the elevator. (She said that's why she faked it) She got into a little trouble but not grounded. She never stopped lying though.

1. One of his patients once accused him of trying to make her take drugs. She said that she would do (insert something I forgot but I remember it was really bad). He didn't. They were meds.
2. A patient once faked pain to try to get drugs from my dad (similar to the first one). Didn't work.

with the headaches, it's actually the schools led lights. because they're so bright, they actually cause really bad headaches, which is why when you stay home, you don't get them as often. i used to get them too, and never knew why until my parents insisted i visit the doctors. after head and eye examinations, the doctor determined it was from the bright lights and gave me what i believe are called, blue light glasses, so it wouldn't be as bad.

I use reading glasses. I have no issue reading or anything, but I like the way they make things look and they actually look sorta good on me, heh.
Reading glasses don’t have harmful prescriptions, as they are only used to make things larger and clearer in case you have issues reading.

When I was in sixth grade I had only one teacher that taught all of the subjects and I am convinced that he was so annoying that he was the reason I had terribly bad head aches. I realized this when I was on summer break and all of my head aches just went away. I still remember how cocky and annoying he was 🙄

I just remembered the time I was so young, maybe like... I'm in 1st grade. I remember faking my sickness to my homeroom teacher because I didn't want to go to my social studies teacher (I didn't do my homework for my social studies teacher...). And because my social studies teacher was very scary and furious, I had to fake myself on being sick... my homeroom teacher believed me(which I thought she did) and called my mom to pick me up. But because we were switching classes I went lay down, just to find out my teacher knew I was faking it and exposed me to the whole class, but still let me go home cause she knew I didn't finish my homework... I feel guilty now, but I had fun doing that🤣🤣🤣
