My moms friend was going to go on a holiday in Thailand but decided not to at the last minute and go to Hawaii. That ended up being the best decision in her life because the week she was going to go there was a deadly earthquake and the hotel she was going to stay at go hit the worst.

They always tell me that if you are walking how at night in a non popular area where there is a decent amount of people, you NEVER let your guard down. And by that, they mean you NEVER get caught up in your phone. Even if your in a group. Always be aware of your surroundings. ESPECIALLY at night. In a group or not, never take your eyes off your surroundings. Pay attention to detail. Like in this case, a car pulling up beside you or someone following you. My parents can't remind me of this enough. Because things like what I just named are the reasons people get kidnapped and as much as I hate to say it, raped. Never let your guard down and always be aware of your surroundings.

There was this one time when (i was ab eleven yo back then) i desided to leave my mom's house earlier (to go to my dad's).
While walking from my mom's house to the bus stop i passed by two men who smelled like alcohol. I didn't look derectly at them (as my parents have told me to do around drunk ppl). I had a strong insting about bad happening soon.
Emmediatly after i passed by those men i heard one of the men saying "I got to go, see you later buddy." and that was when i started to walk faster.
That man (who said the previous sentece) took a while and then started walking to my derection. When i started going faster he slowed a bit. I hesetaded and desided to not to slow down. Soon i started running.
The man looked chill and walked really slow. I ran across the road and went strait to the bus stop.
For my bad luck there were no ppl at the bus stop. I paniced but tried to be calm. From distance i saw that same man just standing and looking at me (idk ab 5 minutes?) then crossing the road (where u should abolutely not bc of the amount of cars). I tried not to look directly at him.
As he started to walk closer (slow af) looking me so weirdly i got chills, i saw my older sister. I waved at her and and I asked her to hurry up in sign language (as my sister is hard of hearing).
As she got closer i started to speak to her. The man looked freaked out and turned left. Away from us. As i explaned everything to my sister i saw the man just looking at me like he was furious.
Soon after the bus arrived. I don't know what would have happened if my sister didn't come.
Later on she told me that se had a gut feeling telling to come after me when i got out of the house

5:54 that reminded me of the time that we were at a friend's house. She had a pool and there was some kind of bar? IDK what it was exactly but it was like a table, where all the guests put their drinks. The thing is, there was a table where all the dads (in the patio was the bar, the pool and the yard where kids were playing) were talking and whatever, inside, there was a table where the moms were talking. A pretty normal reunion. I was with my mom, asking her if there was anything left to drink and she told me to go to the bar. I went outside and heard some kind of slaps to the floor, and when I looked down (where the pool was) I saw my little brother (6 y.o) that had fallen and so I screamed for my mom while I pulled my brother out. He was shivering, my mom brought him the towel. I mean, if I didn't go there, he would've drowned. The dads didn't know wth was happening. It was hilarious, one of the dads (after the incident) even asked what had happened, I was shook. Like they are adults, they were literally like 6ft apart from the pool, and they didn't even notice. Now that I remember it, it's kinda funny but at that time I was freaking out. Do you know why he fell? It was because he was walking around the pool (it was round) and he thought he had turned already so he stepped and fell :v

Well .... I have a story :
So one time , my brother was swinging on the swing ( we had one in our home ) , I was looking at him while he was swinging , I saw the rope that was holding the swing , it was pretty tight but I had a feeling that it’s not strong enough to carry my brother, and he has autism, so he wouldn’t know if something was dangerous or if he was in danger, so I got closer to him , I kept looking at the rope , until I heard a voice screaming in my head : GET UNDER THE SWING NOW . So I went and crouched under the swing and then at the exact same moment, the rope was cut and the swing fell down , it wasn’t that high but it would’ve broke my brothers leg , so unfortunately it fell on my back and I got hurt , but I’m soooo happy that I’m the one that got hurt , cause I wouldn’t stand seeing my brother in pain , I love you Hisham ❤️❤️🥺

one day i was running towards the shops because it was raining, a man on a motorcycle stopped by and asked my if i needed a ride, i said no and that my house was around the corner, he was quite mad and drove off. 2 days later, i saw him on the news, he was convicted for the abduction of 3 girls my age, i still get chills to this day

Not my gut feeling but my mother's, this was a long time ago. We we're gonna go watch a movie, and while she was gonna pay for the tickets, we were playing around, there's a couple of table in this area, so we were intently wandering around and sitting at one of the chairs there. Then she noticed there was a woman who keep looking at us. She had this gut feeling to get us, because something was off to this woman. She finally approached us and pulled us away from the woman. We we're near beside our mother while she continued paying for the tickets, keeping an eye to us also. A week had passed we saw this woman on the news, where she kidnapped children around the mall we were in, If it weren't for her but feeling we would have been kidnapped.

The person walking behind the group is always me. I was at a camp, and my friends weren't really talking to me. I would say something to them, but they weren't really interested, they were only interested in talking to each other. I ended up waking behind everyone the whole time, feeling sad and lonely.

My mom always said that if I was lost and there was someone who I thought was suspicious go find a woman with kids and to pretend she's me mom. Idk if it's good advice all the time but I definitely would.
yeah, that was one thing my parents told me. They would tell me something along that phrase. They would say that if I saw someone suspicious, or someone that was trying to get me trapped by talking to me (attempting to kidnapp me, etc) to just run to a woman, or someone that could help, or to just say that a random woman was my mom.
Here’s a the story of when I thought I was gonna get kidnapped, but was just being an idiot
When this happened it was really nice out so I was outside playing basketball. I’m out in my driveway minding my own business when a white van pulls up. Now keep in mind, it was where the mail and delivery trucks usually park. So, everyone knows the stereotype about white vans. White van= kidnapper. So I’m like oh sh** imma get taken so I casually walk in mah house. and this is when I realized I’m being an idiot. It just so happens that some of the delivery trucks are completely white vans. The white van was a fricken delivery truck, and the guy was dropping off my pop socket with my dogs on it. That’s just me with mah paranoid ass 😂😂😂😂

About the friend thing. A few years ago I went to summer camp. It was my first time being away from my parents for a week so I got really nervous but at least I had my brother there with me, but he was in a year below me so we didn't see each other often. Anyway so I stayed in a cabin with a few cabinmates. We were lucky because we got a dorm for the students that led as counselors there. (It was a college camp and the students there were the counselors for the kids that went to camp) So all of us got along pretty well despite we were split into two sections. The big kids, who were the type to talk about like gossip (there were 4 big kids, 2 of them were the ones that loved gossip while the other two were quite sympathetic and caring) than there's the little kids. I was in the little kids back then. So me and this other girl were really socially awkward yet somewhat got involved with conversations. Anyway, one day we were walking back to our cabin (it was a long walk so the groups were talking) I was with the little kid group and not really engaging in conversation. Only saying a few things here and there. Than I noticed the other socially awkward girl was behind the group so I slowed down and asked her what was wrong as she normally walked with us. She said she felt left out because everytime she tried to talk we'd ignore her (which wasn't true for me bc when I replied it was really me talking to quietly and she couldn't hear me) So I promised her I'd talk to our group about it. So when we got back to the cabin I told them and even thou it was the last day at camp we made sure to let her get involved and not ignore her. Needless to say we made her last day there unforgettable in her words.

One of the worst gut feelings I had was when I was 11. We were at one of my dads many cousins high school graduation party. I want to add that I was one, and still am a person that doesn’t worry about anything. I don’t really have many fears. I was having a really good time hanging out with my cousins. My parents walked over to me and my younger sister and said they were going to go on a date and get food and our grandparents would take us back to the house (we were visiting them so we were staying there). All the sudden I got a horrible feeling and my stomach hurt. I started pacing next to the house (I pace when I’m nervous) and saying the Hail Mary prayer. A voice in my head that I knew wasnt mine kept say, their going to get in a car accident, their going to get in a car accident. I had never had anyone I know get in an accident. I started to cry and kept on saying prayers. My mom came over to me and saw me crying. I told her that I felt like her and dad would get hurt. They drove me and my sister home and I was on edge the whole time. I think they thought I was just home sick and didn’t want them to leave me. But I know that the voice said that for a reason. Always listen to your gut.
My dad was with a group of students studying in Europe, (it was Italy if I remember correctly) and it was time to go back to the University in the USA, but he got a job offer a day before he was supposed to leave on the flight back home. He took the offer and flew to Germany. The flight he was supposed to take home crashed.

I’ve had a gut feeling before. I was at a park with 3 of my friends. There was a food truck across the street so we went over. When we got there the food smelled good but looked different.. like it was wet or something. My friends ate it and I didn’t get anything. The next day they were gone from school with food poisoning. This happened a few months ago, i was just playing this game that i really like, keep in mind that people from my class thought it was a weird game, so i did not tell anyone i played it.
Anyways, i was going to put my pajamas on when i Got this Strange feeling that someone was watching me through my computer (i was playing the game on computer) so i went over in a corner of my room where it would be impossible to see me and put my pajamas on.
Then i went back and played the game again. 1-2 weeks later everyone had gotten pictures send to them of me playing that game FROM THAT DAY, people made fun of me but i didn’t really Care, i couldn’t stop thinking about What would’ve happened if i didn’t go to that corner.

I have a story
When I was around 12 years old my parents started to let me walk to school by myself. I lived in a tiny school and my house was really close to my school so it was a short walk. I knew most of the people in the town so I wasn't that's nervous until I noticed that the same car kept on driving past me. I started to get creeped out and walked faster when the car stopped next to me. I looked inside and saw 2 guys about 3 times my age. they started to look at me and it was really creepy. I really thought I was going to be a goner when one of my teachers who knew my mom she asked me if I wanted to get a ride with her I immediately said yes and got into the car. I explained everything to her. She took it really series and when we got to school we went to the principals office and she called my parents. After that my dad started to drive me to school and if I needed to walk my mom always gave me a bottle of pepper spray and there were more complaints in school by the girls saying that the same thing happened to them

In August of 2017, I was visiting my cousin in Illinois. The first night I stayed there I was playing with my cousins like playing dress-up and drawing then it was time to eat so we ate pizza 🍕 when we were done we played a card game (spoons) and after that, it was time for bed. At 3:00 am ON THE DOT I woke up from the smell of something I thought they hadn't taken out the trash but the condo across from us was on fire! I found that out when my grandma told me and my cousin.

For the pool daycare one, it reminded me of my dead aunt. I never met her but she died when she was 3. My grandma’s husband at the time was supposed to be looking after her at the pool by their house. He wasn’t paying attention and she ended up drowning. After that my grandma divorced him. Bare in mind that whilst this was happening my grandma was at home completely oblivious to her daughters death. She found out soon enough though. My aunt’s name was Nicky. May she R.I.P 💐

My grandpa, younger sister, my grandpa's friend from work, her fiancee, and me were going for a walk in the woods. I got lost, so I followed the only trail I knew was there. While I'm trying to find them because I know their somewhere up ahead, I start to hear four wheeler sounds and what I thought were people following me. I got really scared because I was alone and didn't know what to do. I did what I thought was the best thing for me to do, and called for my grandpa and his friend from work. Sure enough they were a little ways ahead of me. I told them about what I heard, and they said the high way was near by. A few weeks later, my grandpa's friend from work spent the night. My younger sister, her, and me went for a walk on the road. On our way back home, a car kept following us, and we didn't know why. So we were by my uncles house because he lives just down a road from us. There's this ditch like thing, that we can climb up, and down on, so we hid down there. After they past us, we came back up. They passed by us again, and when they came up behind us, stopped the car, and asked what we were doing. We told them we're just going for a walk. After we said that, the guy driving (lets just call him bob) asked us if we wanted a ride. Us girls being smart and remembering "stranger danger" said no. Bob said they thought my grandpa's friend from work was someone they knew. When we got home, we told my mom about that, and I also said I remembered "stranger danger. Never trust someone you don't know." After that, we never heard from them again. When they stopped and asked us what we were doing, back then I really wished I had my nun-chucks, or at least something to smack him on the back of the head with.

I always make sure to try to keep my daughter close, preferably in front of me or next to me but if she’s behind me I make sure I keep looking back at her every few minutes and make sure to talk to her the entire time, asking her questions etc. to make sure she’s still safe behind me. She’s 10 years old now so it’s a lot easier but it still how I do things when we’re out together.

I then asked my teacher (Mrs.Lefler or Mrs.L) Mrs. L! She comes over to see why I called her. She asked me what’s up. I asked her, is there a such thing as a J chord? She looked at me, and she asked. Do you mean a G chord? I reply with No, a J chord. Mrs. L said, no there is no J chord. There is a G chord though. Few moments later she taught us all the G chord. When it was time to play the song all together. She says. 1,2 Ready Go. And when I saw the chords on the screen, and when I saw a G. I slapped my face, because I forgot the difference between a J and a G! Lol
One time, we were walking home from the park at around 8 at night, I was around 10 or 11, I was with my 3 friends the same age as me, they were walking to my house too since we were having a sleepover. As we are walking we see a red van. It slowed down as it passed us. We kept walking. We saw the same van again, but heading a different direction. We usually take the sidewalk because it is quicker, but this time I told my friends I had a gut feeling we should take the hiking trail. We were walking down the hiking trail. A guy got out of the van we had saw and pulled over to look around. We were walking faster now. I then told them we should run. We ran down the hiking trail and turned where it finished off. The guy saw us and got in his car and was driving towards us. We took the closest street that was too us, which was the street right next to my street. The fences are put together. So the guy is behind us, so I tell them to jump the fence. We jump the fence, and then jump my fence and run through my front door. If we would've taken the sidewalk, the guy would've caught up to us :(

Last year I had a job interview so braved the trip out of my town to get to it. It was only 10 minutes away anyways. But when I was on the bus, a guy kept looking at me, sensing how I was alone. He got off at the same stop and began talking to me. I kept my guard all the way up and he kept asking me for my number and address which I refused to share. I was 18 and he was 30. He also kept saying how I was so pretty and began FOLLOWING me around. A few hours pass and he's still strolling after me and he asked me to come for tea with him because he apparently worked in the nearby hotel and he'd make me some for free. I immediately refused and he began spinning this sob story about how he'd been in the country a year all alone and had no friends and that we could go back when the bus came. So I made up a false tale about meeting a friend who has social anxiety and doesn't like new people. So he said he'd see me when the bus back to town came. Bus comes and he doesn't. I don't know who he is or where he is but I'm so glad I took caution and didn't go anywhere with him.

I was walking to school with my brother, he was around 10 meters behind me. As im walking i get a feeling to stop walking and turn to look at my brother before crossing the street, then just when i turn a car speeds pretty quickly when i turn around. Keep in mind that the car probably couldn’t see me because of the cars parking.
So i probably could’ve been hit by the car. Later my brother mentioned that the person driving was a student driver.
Welp, he tried-
I remember last year 2nd term i think and there was a lockdown. The scary thing was that a) the Kindy kids and the other class of my grade where on the OVAL doing the kindy cross country. B) my friends mum lived near the school and the people (there were like 4 i think) knocked on someone’s door close to her. C) they escaped prison and jumped out of a van in the middle of a highway near a REALLY REALLY busy city. D) my friend in my class (my other friend was with the kindy kids) was going to the health center because she felt sick. E) my art teacher who was teaching us said it was a practise so people wouldn’t freak out even though i felt like something was really off when she said that. They escaped prison near the school and tried todo something to a poor person who was just minding there own business. Also my friends mum wasn’t at work that day. My mum got an email from work and started crying because she didn’t want us hurt, so she asked her boss if you could keep get phone at her desk thing just in case. Scared day. Something worse happened in 2nd grade. A guy with weapons came in the school i felt like i wasn’t safe here when they said what they told us because they usually say “oh it’s just a practise to calm us down but i didn’t believe them. The only reason i know that hey had weapons is because my friends mum who was a teacher saw the guy at the school. Creepy

I was walking home once (I live in an apartment complex) when this man started following me I've always been one to run away, so instinctively I sped up my pace the man also did. I had a panic feeling and ran to some ones door. All the sudden I had the urge to run up the steps knowing this could put me in danger but I'm a track/cross country runner so I told myself to just skip 6 steps and only take 2. Turns out the door I ran into was the only one unlocked. As we looked out the door the man and his friend sped off. I was so grateful I didn't waste time on the other doors. I'm still not sure if it was luck or fate.

not so long ago my mom was cooking while me and my brother were laying on the couch.after she but butter in the pan my grandma called and she walked away from the gass.about 15 minutes later I had the feeling something was wrong but I was as always to lazy to go look.fortunatly I looked up from my phone and saw that there was smoke in the living room and kitchen.so I basically ran to the kitchen to see what was happening and saw the pan where the smoke was coming from and screamed for my mom.she hang up on my grandma and turned off the gass,then there was fire.my mom grabbed a random pot with water in it and dumped it over it so it stopped the fire .there are still burned spots in the walls and it was scary but if I hadn't listened to my gut feeling things would have been much worse.And that was my life story LMAO

Me and my brother had a gut feeling once because we were at a playground with my dad (my mom left to go get helmets so we could ride our scooters) and a family told us about an elderly guy that came up to the kids and asked if they wanted to see a snake. The playground was empty other than my family and the other family and it’s not in an area where a ton of people can see it. I was probably in first grade at the time and my brother was in fourth grade most likely and he told me about how kidnappers get kids to follow them by asking if they want candy. (The man did the exact same thing except saying he had a snake instead of candy.) I was SUPER scared and me, my brother, and dad couldn’t leave the playground because my mom took our car to go back home and get helmets. The playground was a couple miles away from our house too so we couldn’t walk either. So basically I was having a mini panic attack. My mom finally came back (idk y but I took her so long, our house was only like 5 minutes away from the playground driving distance) and we never saw the man. We left immediately, I was almost in tears, and we still don’t know if the man was a kidnapper or just a man who genuinely wanted to show some kids his pet snake. It also didn’t help that me and my brother have always been suspicious and scared of kidnappers. So yeah, oof. That happened.

I have a story like these. When I was roughly 7 on Halloween, my family and I had done a treasure hunt in the house for candy and didn't go trick-or-treating. That night it was really late and I had stayed up with my brother and watched a movie while my sisters went to bed in the same room. (Mine and my two sisters' rooms were upstairs, my brother shared a room with my grandfather upstairs as well. My mother slept downstairs.) I was laying down and I looked up to see the exposed pipes of our house spewing a translucent white substance and I say to my brother "Why is water coming from the pipes?", my brother being 3 years older than me recognizes it as smoke and yells for our mom who is in the room near us. Soon after my brother is given Mom's phone to speak to 911 and my mom is carrying my grandfather from the flaming upstairs. My siblings and I go outside and see my sisters and my room in flames and fire seeping out of the window as part of the house falls apart. (our house was entirely wooden) We left up to the neighbor's house and ended up living there until we could afford a new home.
