Amazing work again man. As an 'old school' analogist, I am impressed every time the way you dig into the textures and quality of work available as plugins around these days
Greetings from Darmstadt, Germany. I enjoy all of your Videos and I ❤️ your channel!!! A very important fact for me is, that you use cubase, but the most important thing: I understand nearly 90% of your English!!! School is long time ago! I really will always watch your channel with all the fantastic tips and tricks. Thank you! 👍👏
This was quite interesting. Thanks for doing this! Never thought of exploring this area before. Been mainly concerned about the quality of the diction as a whole. There ought to actually be a lot lof advances that can be done here. A big area to cover, and maybe a small niche market.
Fab, thanks Dom. Fabulous insight into choir libraries! I have EW Composer Cloud, so I am going to try to focus on that ..... although I also have NI Complete 13 Ultimate Collectors Edition ...... so maybe I'll focus on both of them ..... although I also have many, if not all of the Soundiron Libraries ...... so maybe I'll add them to my focus too (The Sequel!) ...... although, I'm not very good a focusing ...... LOOK, SHINY!!!!! 🤣
Thank you, Dom! These libraries is really wonderful, speially Voxos, for my opinion. Hollywood choir I haven't tried it yet, but now I will...Thank you again!
Thank you so much.I am fan of EW Word builder. And i don't care why people they don't like EW because of their subscriptions. But if you have the budget you can buy them.
These are all awesome choirs and I have most of them... but the one I keep coming back to are those in Orchestral Tools Metropolis Ark I & II (they can be bought separately.)
Dom, I just wanna say that this content and topic just came on the very right time as my next purchase will be a couple of choir libs because I am deeply lacking choir sounds in my studio. I only have Ark1 and Lacrimosa choir libs, can you believe that? haha But the thing that really satisfied me the most is that I wrote almost 50 tracks in the last 2 years with only these choir sounds I have and 8 tracks were accepted and cataloged by a music library. In other words, I practically experienced the "Less is More" rather than verbally. But again, I will be buying more choir sounds (men, women and children) to expand my writings even further. Thanks man for this vid, keep it up bro, Love from Egypt :)))))))
Great demonstration as always, Dom🔥Since it seems you chose epic choir libs on BEST SERVICE, let me mention more libs! Storm Choir Ultimate is great. Audio Imperia and Performance Samples' Chorus is as great as SCU. You should compare them! Spitfire Audio's Eric Whitacre Choir has the silkiest recordings. I love it. Orchestral Tools is good at recording choirs. Metropolis Ark series, TIME series, Tallinn, etc. They also have soul voices in LA Sessions. Zero-G's Ethra series is different. They have a lot of soloists for modern scoring scenes. They are pretty useful. The last one I want to mention is 8dio's Emperium Choir Bundle (the parent of Lacrimosa) The recordings are bad, but no other library can beat the 200-piece epic sound. Unfortunately, the product is discontinued for now. You can purchase Lacrimosa, its smaller version. VSL's Synchron-ized Choir is detailed, but I'm waiting for Synchron Choir. I hope you'll review it when it's out! That's it! Thanks so much for reading😁
Thanks so much man! I am looking forward to trying the Spitfire Choir! The ARKS are super nice too- I have them! The Audio imperia sound nice too! We are spoilt for choices1
I use most of those (the Holywood choir is so good for word building!). One I use a lot, which is an absolutely beautiful sound, but not for loud dramatic music, is the Tallinn choir from Orchestral Tools. It's a chamber choir, and so very pure and beautiful.
Hollywood Choirs is always my go to and of course if I need something a little bit quicker just for responsiveness I use Performance Samples Oceana 1&2 i know they're not here in the list but yes all the Choirs ate powerful for sure.
I loved this tour through choir libraries ... I'd be interested to know if you have any opinions on the 8Dio choral libraries ... there are a ton of them. Also I'd love to know if you use any solo voice libraries. Thanks for always having fun and informative videos ... love the energy and enthusiasm.
In case he doesn't have 8dio... If I were you, I wouldn't buy their libraries. Their playability and sounds are terrible. Silka was a big mistake for me since SA's Eric Whitacre Choir sounds perfect. There are better libraries these days. One thing that impressed me is the epicness of Emperium Choir (Lacrimosa) No other lib can beat the epic 200-piece sound! If you're looking for symphonic soloists, Storm Choir Ultimate has some. In modern scores, I use Zero-G's Ethra series!
@@ModernComposerDojo Thank u very much for your kind reply. Unfortunately I own 2 8Dio choral libraries. It's what I get for buying based on marketing, lol. I do have Eric Whitacre ... bonus for me. Thank u again for your kind advice. Have a great weekend.
I have tried several 8DIo choir libraries and they are very good. My favourite though is Requiem believe it or not. In my opinion the sound of that library is special- the ones that 8Dio came out with are very cool but the choice of articulations didn't lure me to invest.
That was amazing! Thank you for demonstrating the chroi libraries. I will try to run them. I would like to make my own words, and I'm glad there are different options available! Could you please let me know how do you configure the pitchbend and modulation in your komplete kontrol keyboard? Do you set up into the libraries, if so how? or how can I do it in komplete kontrol keyboard? Thank you for your help
So what do you do if you don't play keyboards? I'm a stringed instrument guy. I do have a free plugin called Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra where I was able to create some male OOH and AAAH background voices in a song of mine that turned out well, using my MIDI Keyboard Controller, where I was at least able to "hunt and peck" the notes on the keyboard. The Fortuna that you played toward the end, where you referenced "The Name of the Rose"---a fantastic movie too by the way----, had a Gregorian Chant sound to it, which I used to really love hearing, as it was so soothing. THANKS! interesting video.
I was sincerely impressed by your presentation ! Although we all know that 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' I use Dominus Choir Pro from Fluffy Audio and I was just curious as to why it didn't make it in your favorite choir libraries.
Can I ask how you’re getting both the male wb multi and female wb multi to play at the same time? ( 5:28 ) I’ve gotten choirs to play at the same time before but for some reason when I use the wordbuilder it doesn’t seem to give me the same options.
I don’t know Dom’s process, but you could use two tracks listening to the same MIDI input. With that you could even configure filters and stuff so there is less overlapping. That also helps if the male and female don’t have exactly the same phrasing and you need to configure the phonetics differently.
hello sir amazing review. can you recommend a smaller VST for TRAP Production, i would like just to have this STaccato Tab Sound. Maybe you know a good VST less GB for smaller production envoirment. Thanks
Is there any choir libraries that focus more on a simplistic "pop" sound. These are without doubt all beutifull choirs for cinematic scoring, but even I love the way eg Hollywood choirs work with the worldbuilder it's a bit over the top for making normal pop songs, even I have seen videos on how wordbuilder can be used for more "every day" pop songs if youst happen to miss a couple backing vocals.
