I believe railroaded fabric is where you have a piece of fabric that has an indication of the direction, and by that I mean I right way up. And then normally you turn it normally around 90 degrees, and then use the pattern in a different direction to suit the project that you're on because maybe you need a bigger width. Well that was my understanding. But probably wrong 😂
