That's in reverse... In Orpheus's memories she was the one eliminated first and this one is where Orpheus' name was in his memory and he's the one eliminated first.. weird.

The lore tried to explain why some of the games have the same people, weird medicine... so who knows anymore

@@orientalfighters Episode two is scheduled to come out at the end of this year according to NetEase.
Oh! So this is the new cutscene, tutorial and all, very intresting.. I love the new scene here in which we can see Melly(Entomologist) and Norton(Prospector) running for their lives unlike the past tutorial with the detective (In where we play as Orpheus or so).
I also love the small scene/detail in 2:32 in which it focuses on the sky/distance as black smoke starts appearing, indicating that a survivor was chaired and blasted off, in this case, it's Frederick kreiburg(Composer) I assume since both Melly and Norton are still present (that is until Nightmare could be seen teleporting to another survivor, which I ALSO assume is Norton. Reason for this is due to the old tutorial in where we play as the detective, Norton was the one who got chaired and 'eliminated'.
The sudden call of Alice's name too also seems as if it was Melly trying to reach out/call for her. Not sure where Prospector came from though, but I assume he's an uninvited guest, that or he's another guest that's yet to be invited? Since there was an extra, empty seat beside Melly and between Orpheus and Alice. (Which people theorizing that it's Norton and Eli).
just wanted to make a correction, the sudden call for alice's name was actually from orpheus as a child (melly's voice is deeper and has a slight accent)
i understand this comment was made before ashes of memories 2 came out though i also wanted to point out for anyone reading this that you can hear child orpheus' voice during that one optional section in the hallway at night during AOM 2 where you hear voices from the past

At this point Prospector was dead, NetEase error showing him alive.
Logically, Alice doesn't know Orpheus died, so he wouldn't be considered dead to her. Meanwhile Orpheus knows what's going on, as he's the one who did it.
To be fair Melly would have also been dead at this point, so I feel like it's before they both died

he might be an "uninvited guest" , some sort kind of illegal participant who enter the manor game without invitation. if i remember correctly, seer also considered uninvited guest (the first uninvited guest actually)

Whaaa I thought it was actual story stuff from part 2, well that's a bummer. Interesting choice to move completely..... Does that mean the story now starts with Alice too? Or do people still do detective -> TOR -> AOM?
The story starts with Alice now and you can only play ToR and the original prologue through the book.

Could it be that the fourth survivor isn’t Opheus (and who happens to take the form if nightmare because of the whole drug use in the manor) but Frederick?
That’s what I was thinking too! It would explain why he visited in chapter 1, and would further prove Orpheus being the hunter
Well nightmares other name is “Orpheus” so it implies they are the same person I’m pretty sure. And there is always blue around characters that the journalist recognizes, just like there were blue in who detective recognizes. Composer does make sense since they were all together. I thought the survivor missing was someone that died who close to them but wasn’t a playable character but now with your theory I think it showed unknown because it was novelist, or maybe composer im not too sure on that. I don’t know where prospector fits into it though, like is he just a fill in? Like he wasn’t actually the person who was with them or Does he get introduce late on in the story? because journalist, novelist, composer, entomologist and composer were all there. But there was no mention of prospector.
Edit: OH WAIT LOL he is fools gold. So the hunter being the survivors does support the theory.

So “ Entomologist “ and “ Prospector “ have their first names ( Melly and Norton ) but Journalist has her last name ( DeRoss ) but her actual name is Alice.

My question is, who is lucky guy? How newbie get it since journalist become their tutorial character
He is still used in the Survivor and Hunter tutorials that are optional to play for free rewards.

In universe Lucky Guy was a "player" who was lucky to escape, but Orpheus couldn't find enough information on him to form a profile. He has so far not had a real role in the lore, but netease seems to be trying to change that recently. I am hopeful that he will get an identity in future like Little Girl and Alice.

This confuses me a lot… the story pretty different. All I see it’s different pov, different story. Can someone pls explain the lore from latest TOR to AOM lore?
Well, it's the same story, just different perspective. In the playable cutscene in ToR, the characters had button eyes except Orpheus who had human eyes so that is all his "deduction" of what happened (meaning they could be "wrong" or just seen differently). Here, they all have human eyes, meaning this is what 100% happened.
Basically, Orpheus' events of things are probably distorted by the drugs.

Well the new story is from the pov of Alice De Ross (grown up Little Girl). TOR was from the distorted point of view of Orpheus, AoM is a much more reliable telling of the story because Alice is more lucid and down to earth than Orpheus at that time. It is probably the story version that will give us answers about some mysteries
its the same story. Its just a different timeline before orpheus came to investigate the manor

Yes, after this event finishes. So we need to wait some weeks before his return

You can't replay it just yet. The devs said they would add it back, but we still don't know when that is (maybe once episode 2 releases).
