Kenan had a 50/50 chance of surviving if Chucky wasn’t in the mood to kill at that moment and just wanted to go into hiding as quickly as possible, but Kenan just had to mouth off and piss off Chucky which caused him to be killed by him since Chucky had enough of his street-wise attitude and so shut him up by killing him. Yeah, Chucky is evil, which is why you don’t annoy or piss him off. That’s the point.
