Wait till the torpedo is launched before undocking from a new mine. In this run, many of your torpedoes hit the outside of the wall as you "pulled out" of the mine too soon
@@Wizarde78 the torpedo launches from your robospider, not the mine entrance, so literally unattaching and relocating your robospider would obviously cause some issues.
PSA: I like the moving while battling to open new mines, but you keep moving too fast and wasting your drill missile. Some explode at the entrance and some go down the hallway off-center but in both cases the missile explosion doesn't damage any blocks. You need to wait longer.
Regarding the resource harvester, you gain back the investment very quickly and it can help generate a lot of "blues". Considering they become your biggest bottleneck when you can mine/move faster, it is probably one of the best upgrades you can get. Each one generates 4 per min, so 12 per min if you place 3. After 4 mins you have gained back the resources you spent placing them and it is free money from here on. 20 mins after placing them, you will have gained 192 "blues".
they also have a chip to additionally generate 1 rare resource every time they tick and they're not limited by what mine they're placed on its broken to put it short but so does that giant eye out short your run
my last run i got booster chip for the resource harvester that made it give rare resource every day as the game said i was swimming in rare resource i nearly got all i wanted and still died to 3rd timer boss
I don't really get this gadget because to me the game so far (just got to the 3d boss) has been mostly frantically running from one mine to the other. Do the harvested resources get teleported to you or do you need to come back to those mines?
@@ONKVP yes, all harvesters automatically send their resources to your storage. Combine that with its only schematic that also gives you one random gem resource as well every time, and you can max out every single upgrade and weapon available in the game.
My upgrade path for any given run: -First up is the two mining upgrades. I never spend any minerals on upgrades with a 'pending' mining upgrade in my sights. -Second is the flying speed upgrade. I find one is enough for the first tier of mines. -Third is the green mining upgrade. If I get a lucky early grass biome, I will skip the second speed upgrade for this. -Next is probably the first cloud wave (going down), so I will get firing speed upgrade and rotation speed upgrade on the machine gun. If I get the stake thrower, skip the rotation speed because the stake thrower is very fast and you can use it to pivot quicker. If I get the bomb thrower (the best tier 1 weapon), I skip weapon upgrades all together until later. Next is flying speed upgrades so long as it doesn't delay mining efficiency. -Next up is the 4th mining upgrade, and generally the only mine I leave early once I have it. I start going up the wall after and will upgrade weapons along the way. I generally don't go past the second tier of upgrades for the machine gun, and will get up to tier 3 upgrades for the bomb thrower (munitions is goat). I delay these as much as possible because of another weapon later (which I won't spoil) which is the better unupgraded than all other weapons upgraded. And its not an if but a when on that weapon. -Once I get the first split lasers, its generally all over. You mine so fast as to be ridiculous, but keep going up until the next efficiency and triple split, then go down for the last efficiency. Everything else depends on what I get as far as gadgets go. I _generally_ only care about Drone, as it is very good. I've experimented with the docking station, but I've never gotten it first gadget like you did, so it might be ok upgraded, but I can't feel the mining efficiency part, which is all I'd really care about. Resource Harvester is good, and I will invest in that. Personal record is getting split mining lasers by the first boss. I've followed these strategies with two fresh runs, and I'm confident in them (down, up, down, up). RNG willing, I think I can beat the game in about 7-10 runs unless the game is scripted to limit access to keys until certain times. I can usually buy 3+ meta upgrades per run.
One thing I noticed, at 1:10:25... if you let the "Rock Guy" dropper actually land the "Rock Guy" on you, you take a tiny bit of damage but the "Rock Guy" doesn't spawn. Considering they were taking like 8 bomb thrower shots to kill, trying to have them land on you instead of landing on the wall might be the way to go. Might need verification that is a correct strategy.
when you undock from the mine quickly after your first time docking the explosion bomb does not work. It is blowing up at the top of the mine instead of in the mine.
docking is very much useless. Unless you didn't get the booster upgrade, you literally don't need it, even with schematics boosting it. The bomb, on the other hand, is decent, but literally becomes insanely overpowered when you get its only schematic, which turns it into a tactical nuke that will pretty much clear out an entire half of the last few biomes.
@@S_Heavens That'll work on other bosses provided there's not a constant wall of enemies in the way. Also you can't dodge the mega laser, it's basically scripted to hit and be an instant spider kill no matter how much armor you have. i have noticed early after the first 3 easy waves passing cloud and timed waves after were each took you a minute to handle. Putting down one turret would have halved that time. So i think when passing cloud if you got turret it's best to go through, and immediately put one at the new area. It will help with cloud waves and timed waves. And can return here for boss too.

1:00:47 I think that once you get better at picking upgrades, so you do less "thinking", plus the hard cap at the level 3 boss that you discovered this run, means that you'll pretty much have 1 hour vids from here on out. If you start splitting single runs into multiple vids, I think that it's going to be really really annoying for viewers. At least, it'd turn me off from wanting to watch.
