If he goes to India every year, can’t he see the improvement in front of his eyes?! No country is perfect , but India has been developed so much in every aspect! That is the reality. Plus the India government never really forbids him get into India , what does that tell you?

There certainly might be situations where the police show apathy. But you have to realise that conservative families prohibit the girls/women from venturing out alone even during day times in some parts of rural India. But the situation is certainly not the same in the metropolitan cities with a lot of girls/women in the workforce.
There is this unwritten rule of avoiding certain areas of trouble and/or troublesome people and going to the police is the last resort.
It is unfortunate that you hold an unsolved cold case memory that seems to be bothering you.
Unfortunately Eastern cultures, especially in India do not prefer to talk about controversial topics unless of course there is a big time profit angle to the same.
Just to give you some advice. You ought to research the number of rapes that are either not reported or hushed up involving sports athletes in USA schools/colleges to prevent a generational reputational damage to the school sports program. Sports is big time money in the USA. NCAA sports is as big as it gets in college sports anywhere in the world.

other than his western outfits and his spewing of hatred towards India ......i actually don't see any ideas coming from Mr. Bhandari.....not a single idea.....lets see about economic, scientific, spiritual, abstract or humanity ......he offers nothing and he has offered nothing to India........but he gained immensely from the country India that he fails to recognize....... i would love to debate him rationally on his morality and rationalism of western ideas and roman Christianity that he love so much.
Jayanth relishes so much in trashing everything about India since he was born in India and had some bad experiences with what he calls Indians....He talks about Hinduism and about how he read Ramayana and Mahabharata and gita.....well he is first of all born into a Jain family and converted to Christianity ( due to his fondness of white culture as well as his own inferiority of anything else that is non-white.....which includes the east asian that he sometimes praises due to the recent economic boom of China and Korea and Japan.)
      1. I don't know what he has to say when so many scientists in the West were burned at the stake or banished for saying the earth rotates around the sun or his favorite Christian Bibble saying god made Adam and Eve ( in the same note Max Muller and others said Indian Hinduism in particular had incorporated the Dasha avatar evolution ) which is forbidden in his Christian teachings. I don't think he ever has an opinion of his favorite whites, Christianity, and their way of life in places like Argentina, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, and Greece.
      2. I don't think he actually knows the historical facts of how his favorites butchered and forcibly removed food from colonized people.
      3. In India he would never understand how a population of 1400+ millions are living relatively peacefully when compared to the Ukraine war, Balkan wars, internal civil wars and drug wars in many caucasian countries.
      4. He can be psychologically classified as someone who relishes and loves poverty porn.
      5. he relishes greatly in looking at Indians in a derogatory and inferior way no matter what the history of India has actually proven.
      6. he will gladly be an apologist for Churchill created famine in bengal that killed 4.5 million and the partition of India initiated by the British colonial regime as a fallacy of Hindus.
      7. He actually never offers anything constructive such as providing advice, ( which he dismisses blatantly saying it is useless rather than actually trying to think morally of how to improve a situation)
      8. if he is an investor, he does not provide the investing tips.
      9. Every single tweet or interview is full of energy to trash anything and everything about India as a psychologically he cannot relish in anything else to be constructive.
      10. Did he talk about Christianity and the role it had in the 30 year war that killed millions? he probably never ever heard about the 30 years war not does he have any morality in introspecting his own so called rational observations into other white cultures or even question about his own interpretations of civlizational cultures such as India and china and Japan or persia
      11. He often loves to put anything west and anything white to be automatically morally better including the world war 1 and world war 2 and the holocaust.

I can hear the emotion in his voice here and there...
This behavior in India may fall in what Scott Adams calls "cultural gravity", that will stop people inserted in certains cultures to fly higher.
But now all the countries, including the EUA and the European ones, are becoming like India and other third-world countries (like mine also). What is happening? Why is people becoming less moral?
Professor Olavo de Carvalho attributes this to people becoming simply more dumb, more animalistic, for some reason. Also he talks about the West getting away from Christian morals.
Just as a anecdotal story: my country, Brazil, has been practically invaded by hordes of Venezuelans. The government distributed them.all over the country, and my city in particular got them from an specific indian (native American) tribe. One outstanding characteristic of this tribe is that, according with their moral code, WORKING IS WRONG AND IMMORAL, and being beggars or thieves is cool, honored and manly. You can immagine how great this is both for this people and for.my city :P

India is structured to be a thankless and cruel society as age old customs got corrupted and contradictory colonizer rules did not allow consequential results of action. Add to that scarcity of capital and a large population, and you get a grinder that ensures survival of only the fittest or most brutal. It's kind of a defence mechanism thats born out of instinct in a hunted enviornment. Sometimes it takes care of the predators too. The speaker recieved good education in India but things did not go as per plan. He was exposed to an easier structure in west which came out of centuries of struggle and incremental improvements but more importantly - the riches of an exploited South that kept them rich.

Differentiating between Right and Wrong is very different from perceiving the world in Black and White. The former is about forming a sense of right and wrong based on objective analysis of all possibilities, subtleties and facts. While the latter is about wishfully wanting your preconceived notions and personal biases to magically be aligned with what is objectively right and wrong.

Well, the entire talk is a giant spouting of pent up emotions on the degraded state of indian society and culture. There is no analysis of the causes for the poor state of affairs that prevails. There is also no suggestion or hint of any solutions to the problem. This is understandable given that the speaker does not state any underlying reasons for the rot in indian culture. So, now allow me a hearing for my own thoughts on the matter. Everyone is welcome for discussion and debate.
    1. "India is devoid of rational and scientific temper which is an exclusively western discovery." Well, we may safely agree that the scientific method was first discovered in europe by ionian (greek) natural philosophers and by scientists like galileo and newton during the renaissance. But to say that rational temper has at present and also in the past no footing in India is an exaggeration at best. With the greeks, indian society is the only one where logic was discovered and pursued as a subject. Why did we need logic ? For effective inter-religious dialogue and debate between hindus, buddhists, jains, sikhs, lingayats etc. Entire systems of indian philosophy (The Nyaya and the Vaisheshika) did valuable work on argumentation, syllogisms etc. One may say, "how many people read nyaya and vaisheshika philosophy nowadays?" That is a part of the problem...
But anyhow, it is a reasonable supposition to say that the society which was among the first to pursue logical investigations in philosophy is more than capable of learning and applying the scientific method in the endeavour to expand our knowledge. We only need to educate each other for that with the passage of time.
2.) "Indian society was and is amoral". The society that produced and was in turn closely influenced by people like gautama buddha, vardhaman mahavir, raja ram mohan roy etc. was not amoral. Why did India produce more religions and religious sects than any other country in the world. When Christ taught compassion, he was crucified by the romans. The Buddha did the same in India and died peacefully in bed surrounded by his disciples. Was it because we were amoral back then?
But what about our present day state of affairs ? Surely something has gone wrong, has it not? Yes. That will be the content of my next comment.

    • @kompshi

omg..... you have an amazing analysis and said it right.......Jayanth bhandari needs a platform to spew hatred about anything remotely indian or hindu while he feels satisfied and gratified when he is given a platform to spew that. there are videos of him from years where he says the same exact thing again and again but
      1. he never offers any ideas or solutions.
      2. he never talks about irrational behaviours of the so called white west.
      3. Never talks about anything good abiout other cultures including East Asian whihc he solely attibutes to east asian copying western culture .
few more interesting things to note about Mr. Indian hatred Bhandari...who converted to christianity...

      2. I don't think he actually knows the historical facts of how his favorites butchered and forcibly removed food ( intentioanaly caused famines) from colonized people.
      3. In India he would never understand how a population of 1400+ millions are living relatively peacefully when compared to the Ukraine war, Balkan wars, internal civil wars and drug wars in many caucasian countries.
      4. He can be psychologically classified as someone who relishes and loves poverty porn especially Indian poverty porn.
      5. he relishes greatly in looking at Indians in a derogatory and inferior way no matter what the history of India has actually proven. Indians( hindus ) let jews, zoroastrians, syrian christians and muslims live in india peacefully.
      6. he will gladly be an apologist for Churchill created famine in bengal that killed 4.5 million and the partition of India initiated by the British colonial regime as a fallacy of Hindus.
      10. Did he talk about Christianity and the role it had in the 30 year war that killed millions? he probably never ever heard about the 30 years war not does he have any morality in introspecting his own so called rational observations into other white cultures or even question about his own interpretations of civilizational cultures such as India and china and Japan or persia
      11. He often loves to put anything west and anything white to be automatically morally better including the world war 1 and world war 2 and the holocaust.

india is fascinating... how they simply lock up people before election or other time. .. loads of street justices.... lynching... mass sx assault becauses they love brotherly bondings.. terrible for female but her child will have many dads. paying tributes and accepting or demanding them as a sign of respect... you may think it is corruption.. but it is practice as a culture... looting foreign firms or domestic' technologies... watchout, when they want your tech. Human sacrifices.. just googled it up.... the only moral is "am I strong or am I am weaker" It is like going to another world.... just unbelievable.....

@@thefreethinker6176 other than his western outfits and his spewing of hatred towards India ......i actually don't see any ideas coming from Mr.

What strikes me is how similar this is to the indigenous reservation and “urban” cultures I’ve spent time doing work in. I was amazed by the stark difference between what I learned in university sociology classes and reality. I felt very lied to.
