    My goodness, what a performance. Makes me nostalgic for the days when I worked on rigid frame chops with a couple of simple straight through headers. Life was easy.

      @@Batman825 when you do your back brakes plz make a video on it front was pretty easy but will be on back half in few months i will say my parents road the hell out of thier trike before he passed coast to coast florida to sturgis florida to las vegas etc at age of 74 nothing stopped them not even when we hot wired his air machine to trike so they could travel.

      @@shrakkem I will but it won't be for awhile. A dealer here offered to change them if you bought the brake pads from them so I did. Total cost just the pads, no labor. It was hard to resist. Might be other videos that show that on TH-cam. But if I do, there will be a video.

    Nice details and great fab work - now we just need a sound check!

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't do a sound check because I didn't change the slip-on mufflers. The header doesn't really do much for the sound. It mainly removes the Cat and heat.

    I had the same problem with that middle heat shield clamp. I ended up leaving it off. I do love the new headers though.

    Mine came with a Vance and Hines system, already installed, have the same clearance issues with the swing arm, although belt clearance is good. No lift installed. Have one to install, soon.

    great video is the factory header the same as 2021 ? how hard is it to get to the nut holding in the front header pipe around the lower faring

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 2021 is a an M8 motor and mines a 103 so I'm not sure about the same pipe. As far as the front Header, you can get to the nuts from the front of the bike. You can use a socket on the lower one but you need an open end wrench for the other. It's kind of a PIA but with patience you can get them off. It's not really that hard.

    Great video...Was there any particular reason why you went with the S&S headers?

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was hoping that I could remove the trans cover to bleed the clutch but I can't. I still have to back out the headers to remove the cover. It looked like there was enough room to do that. Live and learn

      Question....After your trike is warmed up from a few miles, dose it start shifting louder as you go through the gears? @@Batman825

    Hi Bob, I have a 2016 Tri-Glide and when I ride in the heat (summer) my right calf gets burned. Is that why you changed our your header and did it work?

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's one of the reasons, get rid of he cat which gets very hot. It's just one of the things that I have done to get rid of heat. I also added a different air cleaner as the stock one gets really hot also. That is a stage one conversion. I have other videos that show more ways to cool the motor. If you go to DK Customs TH-cam page they have a whole series on cooling down the bike.

      You can always put it on and take it to a shop and have them tune it. I think I paid only $299 for my tuner when I bought it. However, that was 6 years ago.

    Yeah I would think it's because of the shocks, that or they just have piss poor products

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shocks are a good product, I just don't know about these lift kits. I would say that Harley needs more rake in the front to make the bike steer better as this is what the lift kits help. They change the angle of the bike. I also don't understand why everyone says that they get the mufflers higher off the ground. They lift the body up but the mufflers stay the same. The bike was designed for 13" shocks and putting a lift kit on and 14" shocks spreads the swing arm part which pushes the swing arm down which causes the pipes to be hitting the swing arm. Super Shox came up with a new down tube for the pipes which eliminates the swing arm hitting the pipes. Other manufactures should also do the same.
