- 1986 Scottish Television documentary on Kenny Dalglish, which was released as a video tape in 1989. I have had to remove some video footage and the audio on You'll Never Walk Alone to avoid the video being blocked for copyright claims. I've also removed some close-up footage of the Heysel stadium disaster as it felt gratuitous.

I had this on VHS a kid, my all time hero, the greatest Scottish footballer. He must have cost my Mum a fortune in Celtic Scotland and Liverpool kits!
Kenny is one in a million. Also, what a treat to see Bob Paisley. A wonderful man.

Hi Dave, I bought this video, portrait of a natural footballer, Kenny Dalglish, when I was in Scotland, ( Stirling) in 1995 it was the last one left at a video store,, I still have this vhs video, absolutely luv it, and never get bored watching it,, I have a cousin in Scotland who played along side Willie Henderson in his youth,, all my family in Scotland are all rangers fans except for me,,I'm a massive Glasgow Celtic fan,, and it has nothing what so ever to do with religion, cause I'm Presbyterian,, but in saying that,, they all admire and respect and hugely like Kenny Dalglish, john Martin Sydney Australia 🌏

Sorry no offence George Best did nto come out of Britain, he is from the other island, Ireland, agree Daglish is a great player, but Best is as the name implies.

The man is simply incredibe he went to every single Hillsborough funeral best player I ever saw and in an era that beats today's hands down a true legend
He was a great player and is a great man, but he didn't go to every Hillsborough funeral. It wouldn't have been possible logistically.

I saw bout 70% of his LFC games/goals. That week in 86, he scored winning goal away at chelsea, 7 days later, 3-1 v blues in FA Cup Final, player-manager. Our best ever. Thanks to Celtic also.
That 85/86 team were absolutely incredible. What a time to be a Liverpool supporter.

Awesome footballer but don’t forget what he did for the families after Hillsborough. He went to every funeral. What a man.
He didn't go to every funeral. That would have been logistically impossible (not to mention the emotional toll). But still a great man.
@@DaveWallerLFC I know some days he went to three funerals. So maybe he didn’t get to all 96 but he went to as many as he could. Certainly deserved his Knighthood.

As much as I idolised Kenny Dalglish, for Graeme Souness to say that his old team mate was better than Maradona is stretching it just a bit .
He said it before Mexico 86. I guess his view probably changed after that.
