Fantastic decription and visuals on this. It does look a bit of a nightmare job buf if the alternator has died and no charge being registared then its a necessary evil.
However, I'm guessing you had the engine in rebuild on bench where as remove carbs remove small trapezium cover plate on crank case an unlock retaing bolt ensuring oil ways are aligned and chain held ib place. Its replaceable delicately
Bloody hell Jon, that’s a ruddy nightmare of a job. I thinks I will leave mine alone until the day it dies. Great tutorial as always Pal, appreciate it. I want to throw a few quid your way through your patrion thing but haven’t worked it out yet. Any tips would be welcome 🙏🏻 Cheers Col.
Hi Colin yes it is a big scary job to do but if you've got a few decent tools it's not that bad.... I'm in the same boat with the patron thing I've had a few good attempts to work it out but now I've just given up with it.. Cheers Colin 👍
Cheers Colin I've got a ton of spray paint to get for the landfill bike project. So thank you so much it will come in very helpful and it is very much appreciated cheers Colin. 👍
Hello friends, I am changing bearings on my 1994 CBR 1000 F from the lima alternator but I can't get the stem into where the nut fits. Please someone show me a video. Thank you.

Hello, can someone tell me how to remove the bendix chain adjustment so that I can center the file alternator stem?
👍

Think you need to do it when you're rebuilding the engine. You'll need to align the 2 oil holes as well. 👍
The alternator can be removed and replaced while the motor is still in the frame
However
The freaking tensioner is in the worst place ever
Yup it's a pretty hard job to have to take on. 👍
