Hope the devs notice how even Tony thought he should be getting a KO. A quick set of combos will never put someone down in this game, so people sit there and practice 1 hit power punch and don't bother actually boxing. KO system needs work. Edit: Devs just announced today that they're fixing this in the next damage update. Let's goo
The game is a work in progress and they are constantly updating. It's getting better everyday. But ordinary people seem to be over estimating their irl ability.
its not an issue with damage. theres just giant issues with netcode and IK. it will probably never end up being fixed. what both players see on their screen is completely different, and thats why it feels like a damage issue
@@Yoitsseb 100% everyone thinks they should be a KO artist just bc they punch spam or connect without much pop behind it. Even in VR people's egos can be severely bruised by taking a beating lmao. But yeah its early access. it dropped less than a month ago so expect constant tweaks and changes based on player feedback and fight data they get. It's hard to gauge in a purely development setting as devs usually do what they designed the game to do, and its the users that will do things outside the expected way that reveals where they need to change
I'm a massive fan of the original Thrill of the Fight, but the sequel really puts it on another level. If you're serious about getting fit and want to have fun fighting friends, this could justify buying a Quest 3S for this game alone. The developers are super passionate and are constantly bringing updates to the game - updates the players are asking for.
you inspired me to start boxing you are the one who encouraged me to take the first step, and because of you, I will become a great boxer one day Thank you ♥️!
Work hard young man - read a book called fortitude unleashed by Arthur sterling if you can find it it’s quite rare - but the steps in there it tells you about seducing women transfer well over to boxing etc
This game is amazing. It honestly feels like you're in a real fight. Every match is also different since you fight people of all different styles, heights and sizes. it's still in early access though, so they still have a long way to go in terms of damage accuracy, judging rounds and polish. but devs put in work everyday and take feedback seriously. It's a great, intense workout and you have motivation to keep going and be competitive since you're fighting a real person. Best part, you're not actually taking blows to the head
The most annoying part is someone just hammer slamming my head while I’m trying to actually box. It only takes a couple hits of that and your knocked out, and then I’ll hit a nice combo and it’s doing nothing. I don’t have a power issue either. It just doesn’t seem to work.
😂😂😂😂😂i swear i hate it! Their body goes threw yours like a ghost and it becomes annoying! I endup blocking the non boxers and fight friends that dont do that.
They've defo gotta make it less shaky, because in the game it accounts for every small movement of the headset but in real life it doesnt shake since your eyes are always locked on the opponent
Wow! Finally you tried it! I highly recommend you give Thrill of the Fight 1 a whirl too. I personally feel the first version offers more benefits for training than the second because it has more nuanced training potential. For example, you can control the speed of your opponent from glacial, to olympic boxer speeds, to the point where they're simply teleporting from one spot to the other. You can also have them just throw 1 or a single series of punches to practice drills.
It's just inverse kinematics, so from the spine > shoulder > elbow > wrist > hand like a chain link from spine to hand. the spine rotates with the headset, and tethers everything in between to reach the hand.
Finally! Been waiting for you to get on TOTF 2 since it launched. You can probably start virtual boxing coaching now and make some pretty good coin. Please do more of these!
@@victorespino5650 TOTF 1 is hands down the best vr boxing sim but its only against AI opponents, i havent played any other multiplayer boxing games so I cant speak much for this game but it certainly has great potential and is a lot of fun just expect to fight a lot of goofy, spazzy people

I’ve been playing it a bit so far and I love it. Still needs a lot of work but it has a lot of potential and I can bet this will become a popular e-sport one day.
Been waiting for this game for a while. The first Thrill of the Fight is the best boxing game I’ve ever played but lacked a two player mode. If that get this right it will be immense.
This is proof how flawed the game is. Theres no way that guy shouldn't of been dropped or Ko'd. I'm a real boxer too and I have 24 victories and only 1 ko.. I can't even knock people down. It's getting ridiculous.
I am not a big fan of VR in games. For example when they one day make Call of Duty so real that in VR you really feel like being in a warzone and get PTSD at home. But this..this is amazing. Giving boxing instructions in VR..I mean WOW!! 😵👍🏻
When they make a more realistic sequel of this game you could actually give paid online boxing lessons to people across the planet. Imagine how crazy that would be.
This is funny-I started watching Tony's videos because of Thrill 1, and now he is doing VR fights. It would be awesome if he could share some tips with us when Thrill 2 comes out.
I have both this game and the last one (Thrill of the fight 1 and 2). The 1st is against the computer and the 2nd against humans. It is early access, so there are a few issues things that need ironing out. Also, they will probably try and even the playing field a bit. Eg, making it a bit harder to get the KO against a noob... so it's more fun for them... But for me, when I can't be bothered to exercise properly (I'm 51 years old now), I will still have a 30 minute sesh on this game. It is exactly like shadow boxing, but less boring. And you break out a sweat, so buy silicone covers to protect the headset.. Especially if you want to share it with other people.
I know in the first game that uppercuts dont work great because they always hit the chest or body. I didnt see you really throw any to see but did they work on that in this game or notice that it was kinda broken?
The version you guys played is only a month old but I have actually used the original for almost 3 years almost daily. I put it in after about 10-15mins of actual bagwork and use the game as my shadowboxing workout in a lot of cases. I usually run through the entire game in about 30-45mins (almost daily) and I will be pouring with sweat by the end of it. I customized the fighters to throw a lot more punches and a lot faster so I can work on my form and head movement more. It's been a great tool although not perfect....
Tony, I've seen some of your videos where you explore BJJ. It would be awesome to see you make a video where you teach basic BJJ survival, oriented for boxing, based on your experience and perspective. Like, just enough BJJ to get out of whatever situation a grappler is trying to get a boxer into, so the boxer can get back on their feet and do what they do best. I see too many videos out there where's it's basically "if a grappler has a striker down, it's game over for the striker".
I was worried the 3d models were going to get their left and right arms tied up in a double knot. I don't know much about boxing, is that something fighters have to watch out for?
i think to make it even more accurate & and realistic, the vr and the controllers should vibrate when getting hit similar to the PS4 and 5 controllers for a an immersive experience
