- This is my cousins 1993 peterbilt 379 that he picked me a couple weeks ago packing a Detroit 12.7 60 series with a 15 over in it. This truck was a longing truck and pretty much neglected. I would strip this truck down to bare metal, stretch the wheelbase to 275’ and then do all the bodywork to the cab, sleeper, and Frame. Would go with a Seminole Paint scheme along with custom painted Frame. After gutting and cleaning out the interior, I would put some Sound deadening insulation on all the panels and then reinstall the thoroughly cleaned interior.
Just did this to my KWT660. Pulled all the interior out. Cleaned it, scrubbed it, sound deaden the whole truck, installed 4,000 watt system. Took me a week at 8 to 10hrs a Day.
From the air charger cooler to the rear brake lights I’d say about 12-15 on the engine if it’s a low end $Detroit 60 series and another 12 on miscellaneous like hoses brake pads slack adjusters, gaskets seals

That truck has a lot of potential, we used to log in a 359 ext hood with the big sleeper, truck was to good to be a log truck, it got sold sadly , now we have some 379s, hard work pays off buddy!
Wesley Cranfield yes your right it does have potential! Definitely at one point was to nice for the log woods! Man i want to build a 359 one of these good days lol but i have enough going on right now 🤣🤣 10/4 on the hard work pays off truck safely!

The interior of that truck looks like my interior. I have the same year truck. It's just hard to keep it clean. There is a lack of storage to say the least. It got cluttered and stayed cluttered. Anyways nice truck! She's rough, but she'll to good by ya. Actually scratch that. That truck looks like a dude to me. I keep wanting to call mine Frank or Carl for some reason. So I digress, he'll do good by ya.

You folks in the states use any old truck for logging around these parts you need a heavy spec truck for logging
Around this parts seeing these types of trucks for logging is pretty normal! I myself have never hauled logs!
What looks normal isn't always. Most of these logging and heavy haul rigs are double or triple frame, 45k rears, low geared. If you are just loading logs off the landing, a normal spec truck is fine but many are still beefed up.

How much did he pay for the truck....I can’t find no peterbilt for under 30,000....get some awesome cleaner and it will clean up really good I wish it was my truck..

Truck paper is your best bet. Go into the detailed search options, put price, years etc. I have seen many 379s well under 25k
