I have must warn people of the 20inch Lasko remote control fan.I just took the junk out the box today 5-9-2018 and the remote sucks already will not respond on command when I press to turn on or off, to change setting on speed sometimes u wait to press to get to respond, etc crazy thing is I had it in my mind to get two more before test operations and so far I'm ready to take them both back after spending $40 each at SAMS, oh and I'm not blaming SAMS Lasko Company 😠.
I just assembled this exact fan however I think I may have put the actual fan piece on backwards because when I screwed the bolt on, I had lot of thread room compared to this tutorial and because of that, I think the fan is on backwards. Problem is, trying to get that bolt to unscrew so I can re-install the fan blade. Any suggestions on how to get the bolt off when trying to unscrew doesn't work?
You don't unscrew the bolt, you unscrew the plastic nut that holds the fan blade onto the motor shaft. Remember plastic nut tightens counter clockwise, so you'd want to twist the nut clockwise to loosen it.
iScaper1 I got it off... for some reason yesterday while trying to unscrew it, it wouldn’t budge at all. Got up this morning and it came off without an issue so I was able to reinstall the fan blade correctly so now the unit is working properly.
the only problem I had was not being able to tilt the fan like you did..I somehow was able to put it together...how can I get the motor to tilt back on my fan??
I just went and tried this on my fan. I hope you have the same fan. Grasp the motor housing with both hands, one hand on the front of the housing and one hand on the back. Try to pivot the motor housing straight back. The housing should click as it pivots back. To return to the original position, reverse these steps.
Did you extend the inner pipe before putting the outer pipe into the base? You also need to push down and twist the outer pipe clockwise into the base.
My outer grill does not have slots instead it has small holes. It’s the same fan just the grill different. I’ve seen a few other people mention this in other videos and can’t fine a how to video for the type of outer grill the rest of us have. I put the whole fan together and now can’t get the outer grill on. 😡
Ok, I have a Holmes whole room stand fan (not tower fan). It works but the motor assembly is leaning a little bit to the side. Help?? My fan is a 52 inch stand whole room stand fan. There are no TH-cam videos that I have found on my fan and none of the others go over any trouble shooting steps that I am capable of doing. I had Holmes on chat helping me assemble my fan, no body wants to see me attempt to disassemble the motor shaft.
I had 2 the older model is easy to assemble. The new one is not. The head doesn't lock and neither the base. I can't move it in one piece from room to room
The larger plastic inner nut holding the rear grill against the motor head tightens clockwise, and the outer plastic nut that secures the fan blade to the motor shaft tightens counter clockwise.
What company is stupid enough to make a simple fan so difficult to assemble? Without this video, not sure I could've completely figured out. The fan runs nicely, but, because of the issues with assembling it, I would never recommend this fan to anyone. It runs nice though.

You twisted the pole into the base. Did that lock it in for you? We have twisted and it does not lock in. If we lift it up, the base comes right off.

There is a post next to the fan speed selector. Pull up on the post to keep the fan from rotating. Push down on the post to resume rotating.
