I like her. I relate to her as a guitar player since I basically practice and learn the same way. Plus, her riffs are simple, nothing too crazy, but a shit ton of fun to listen to and just mindlessly headbang to.
Came here after listening to Perpetual Chaos, i do love the new line-up and the songs are sick as expected!. She's definitely a keeper, real humble too, about damn time you guys invited her. For the dudes trying to "lecture" i wonder how many of you actually PLAY, didn't learn anything from Kerry King or Gary Holt i assume?. You don't need to be fully skilled/pro to be a badass in your set but hey, to each their own. Much love for Prika always y aguante Nervosa carajo!♥🤘

I discovered Nervosa last year, and am so glad I did 🤘🏾 I'm also glad that Prika kept the band going with the new lineup. Can't wait for the new album 🔥 The singles so far are killer!
Thought I was the only one who would learn riffs and didn't take time to learn the entire song. I would get distracted by my ADHD, and want to go onto learn another song lol Can't wait for the new album! Nervosa is sounding great!

Dude, I know a lot of Metallica riffs and zero whole Metallica songs for the same reason. I grew up having been diagnosed ADD and thinking it was bullshit, but as an adult it slaps me in the face everyday.
I once learned every opening riff to Kill Em All.
That's me, 100%. I can play a million popular metal riffs but I can probably count on one hand the number of entire songs I know.

Raised in the SF Bay Area in the 70’s & 80’s, Kill em All was also an “easy” album to learn from.
I hold the pick exactly like her.I am also self taught and this habit is very difficult to change

I held the pick this way for nearly 20 years but changed it to learn pitch harmonics ( almost impossible to get it holding the pick like that ) , so that's probably why she has a hard time with pitch harmonics.
This style of holding the plectrum is quite helpful for alternate picking. Imo
She imoroved a lot... New album is really good.

Prika is a great guitar player. She's more on the classic thrash wagon, You know that one that was more influenced by hardcore and put more improvisation in the composition. Needless to say is great.
She's great! I think she holds the pick like Ola Englund does

looks about like how I pick as well. In case any other abnormal pick holders like us end up reading this, I developed an alternative technique for pinch harmonics since holding the pick this way causes the thumb to be positioned all wrong to do them easily. I use the backside of my 3rd finger to essentially create a natural harmonic just behind where my pick is which results in a very similar sound that can be performed quickly and efficiently while playing without the need to drastically reposition.
@Burger i don't know for sure, but in any case she holds it in the opposite direction to the "conventional method"...
@Burger I saw that video too! I was shocked to know that he was able to play so good holding the pick in that way... For sure it's a strange way, but as long as he and she are comfortable with it I don't see why they should change method

I started out taking lessons and then for years learned on my own. I learned that whole kill em all album. To be honest I wish I had taken more lessons. I feel like I'd be allot better if I had taken more. The internet wasn't around then though.

@@paradoxofepicurus dude it doesn't matter the key. It's the same fret board movement. I'm far from a great guitar player, but I could definitely play that song better after only knowing it a week or so. We ALL know it's not a hard riff.
She acknowledges that and you're just being a dickhead about it, like pointing out a dint on someones car when they already know about it to make them feel like shit. Don't really see you in a band being successful ? No one is a terrible guitarist, we are all learning at different paces and different techniques we prefer to perfect. With time & persistence anyone can be great.. at anything.
