I have but one explanation for Miku´s being and furthermore fame, Its mere existance is far more Human than some canadian kid with a childish voice and that many people hate, Even this being an artificial voice made up from a japanese voice actress, even being something without substance stored inside a computer, can transmit more feeling on every single made by the title of HATSUNE MIKU - (Or simply ANY VOCALOID) Its more human because anybody can use her, or at least that´s what i think :D

A lot of songs talk about real life issues. But unlike all the new crappy songs that are released nowadays, vocaloid songs carry a lot of emotion and meaning. Most popular songs nowadays are just catchy and sound nice, but their lyrics are crap. In my honest opinion, j-pop/j-rock > k-pop+american pop.
I think Vocaloid became famous because, unlike most artists, they rarely sing about things like doing drugs or having sex with each others mother. And because they're so amazing at what they do, even though it is artificial.
