I’m sure someone already pointed this out in the comments but his style is not a mix of anything, it is actually 100% pure classic Muay Thai. Traditionally, Muay Thai has a lot of fancy explosive moves, like the jumping knee, jumping switch high kick, or jumping elbow, but of course to compete at the highest levels, thais have adapted to a more conservative yet effective style and less of the fancy stuff.
Muay Femur style! Those Jocky gym fighters are something else.
Great video - Saenchai is one of my favorite elite Muay Thai fighters. The antics have to completely throw 90% of his opponents off their game. And he didn't get famous worldwide until Yallao and Thai Fight posted to TH-cam and FB. When you get your ass handed to you by a true legend (and alot of fighter's idol) - all you can do is fight to win, and going the distance alone, is an honor and achievment itself

Lol it's not just the sweeps. The guy has insane fight IQ. He's what they call a muay femur. Sort of like a trickster style that's extremely technical and elusive. He knows how time his attacks and counters and doesn't constantly head hunt. The end result is that he completely takes control of the pace and it looks like a sparring session because of how easy he toys with them.
there's no mix between anything, this is traditional old style muay thai. Do some research on him and you'll understand.
Exactly - he's the gold standard of true Muay Thai. He has a famous gym, and trains personally or teaching almost every day. He lives this sport

Saenchai is the best Muay Thai player in 20 years. You will notice that his opponent is always bigger because Saenchai is too good for anyone to win. Therefore, we have to continue the weight of the fight over the coordinates for more than 10 years. Because no one wants to fight because the chance of winning is very small. He is a boxer who is fully equipped with weapons in every part of his body. Have the imagination of fighting to release weapons of your choice and control your opponent in the fighting game of Saenchai himself. Saenchai is an unbeatable Muay Thai master. same as Former legend of high IQ boxing, full of talent and experience, like Somrak Khamsing, Samart Payakarun
Seanchai's style is sometimes like that of Samart Payakarun. Everyone says that Samart Payakarun pretends to lose, but actually Samart Payakarun was told to lose weight and train hard without sleep. On the day Samart Payakarun lost, he fainted and recovered at the hospital. (I know this From an interview with Samart Payakarun's boxing teacher) And sorry for my English. I'm not good at English.
Thanks very much guys -He was amazing - probably the best pound for pound Muay Thai fighter of all time. I think he ended up with 365 fights with 58 losses. Check out the full Yakao fights on TH-cam. He lives the sport and has taught hundreds of students at his gym over the years He's an entertainer, and he does mix judo throws and really has his own style. He kisses every opponent when he has them on the ropes and really humiliates a lot of fighters by throwing them around 15 times. But that's what the fans paid for - a Senchai clinic with a skilled opponent.
I dont think he is above fighters like Samart, Sagat, Dielselnoi or even Somrak, but he is one of the best.

Thanks you very much The last few fights I saw, he had 365 fights, with 56 losses. I binge watch his fights every few weeks(except for his losses). He was the best pound for pound muay thai fighter in the world. Check out his training workout videos - just incredible. When these first class younger fighters get beat by him, I would think they would be proud to last all 3 or 5 rounds. Plus you get to hit him a few times. It would be an honor. I also think his longevity fighting is that he doesn't take a lot of damage. Muay thai fighters don't practice full speed. They hit pads and concentrate on style.

This is the genuine Mauy Thai , but many weapons like elbows, head , fingers ,etc are prohibited. Seanchai's style is sometimes like that of Samart Payakarun, a very experienced and skillful Thai boxer.
