Can you do a video with the F-15EX doing some kind of a BVR fight. If you think the flight model in DCS is accurate to the actual fighter as I would really love to get a sense of how much more Capable they will be than the E or C Version or any other version at that matter. Thanks GR TEAM for the Video and your hard work to make these CAP...
I did a quick search and found 13 GR F-15EX BVR battles. I linked the first 8. No sure I can stomach making a 14th TBH: th-cam.com/video/TnZ1HdXqzv4/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/3QUzqCHE0Oc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/0zgVrc8EzC4/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/TXHgBrYqbK8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/wNit_Mlp_3M/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/jbTnOrneuYM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/WOCd66Q3XVc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/PSB95UTv6pA/w-d-xo.html
USAF anti-shipping in the 80s and 90s was B-52G loaded with Harpoon. If memory serves correctly, each BUFF couod carry 12 to 18. Fighters would provide SEAD and escort
@corvanphoenix I couldn't remember if internal carriage was possible, which is why I said 12 to 18. I knew they could carry a dozen under the wings without a doubt. The weapons bay would have probably had Quickstrike mines then for a mixed attack option.
@BamaCSX83 I had to look it up cause I couldn't remember if they could handle 3 rows of Harpoons 😂 Quickstrikes in the bay sure sounds smart. Good old dumb bombs might get a look in too. I'd love to see a mockup of a BUFF with NSM, LRASM & Quicksink 😂
Those first few Grumbles that were fired were 48N6 missiles, with a range of about 120~km. This is a special navalized version of the S-400 missile, also called S-300FM. The Pyotr Veliky has 48 48N6 missiles and 48 of the older 5V55R missiles, and is the only ship in the Russian Navy equipped with these.
You can't drain their SAMs but you may be able to overload the fire control radars as they can only defend against so many incoming missiles/aircraft at a time.
Loving it cap. I love the dcs videos. Love all the videos. I was thinking to look at how a missile works and hoe effective it needs to be you kinda need a baselines. So it would be good to see a big bad which is used as a base line. I then thought it cant be done as we are looking at different generations and combat zones and they are designed for certain tasks. It then came to me how well you plan out your missions and videos even if you dont realise it and its subconsciously done. Great job my dude. And great job rest of the team.
I wonder if a Harm could track into the active radar on the fleet to at least damage their radar tower and/or systems to then allow for a more "dumb bomb" attack? Like a layered wild weasel to drain the SAM net and maybe get thru.
I'd love to see those everyday! I'm near CFB Greenwood. There are f-18s coming in sometimes. Mostly it is search and rescue, and Auroras witch are ASW apparently.
The down side to these better LRASM's is that they are several million dollars each. So they are trying to find a way to lower the cost while sill getting a super effective weapon
What they're targeting is a few hundred million. The alternative is saturation attacks where you would need literally 150+ tomahawks, or hypersonic missiles which are vastly more expensive.
I would've like to have seen Dark RTB with that wing. Recreate the story of an F-15C getting its wing blown off in the Desert Storm and flying home and landing.
Not watched video yet, but Im here for it, thumbs up already etc.... everything should have LRASMs in it, lots of them versus everything dropped from a herd of C17s
Now I want to see a video of a B-1B Lancer (with F-22 Raptor escorts) loaded out with LRASMs vs a Chinese carrier group built around either the Liaoning or Fujian, as that scenario is much more likely to happen IRL. As for 1990's-era air-launched anti-ship weapons, you do realize the AGM-84 Harpoon existed at that time, right?
New "ShipSink" glide bombs basically made from the same thing you are carrying except for the glide attachment and the GPS guidance added sensors to track and target ship, hitting it at the waterline taking it out in one shot. Your F15s could do it easily.
U.S. Carrier Fleet VS Russian Carrier Fleet! Russians- Kuznetsov carrying MIG-29KR's with R-77M's and SU-33M's with Kinzhals, 4 Gorshkovs, 1 Kirov, and 1 Slava! U.S.- Ford Class carrying F/A-18F's with AIM-120D's and F-35C's with Makos, 2 Arleigh Burke's, 2 Constellation Frigates, and 2 Ticonderogas!🙏👍
With the popularity of Seapower, have you tried playing any of the missions? Stealth17 and Wolfpack have cornered the market. Thats an Irish fella and an American! We can't be having that now, sir!
Too bad you're not getting the views for DCS naval battles. Those are the ones I like the best. Sea Power is almost unwatchable it's so tedious and slow. Kind of like real life. Everybody wants to be a pilot. No one wants to drive those ugly gray ships.

@@grimreapers The sacrifices you make for us don't go unnoticed Cap 🤣
Isn’t the 1990’s Russian carrier group what they’re sailing now?
No. In 1990 it was in some form of working order....
zing!
No, because the Admiral is sitting mothballed
No back in the 90s it was still afloat
They just transferred the entire crew to die in Ukraine
USAF anti-shipping in the 80s and 90s was B-52G loaded with Harpoon. If memory serves correctly, each BUFF couod carry 12 to 18. Fighters would provide SEAD and escort
Yeah, they put 12 under the wings. Can't carry them in their bomb bay unfortunately.
@corvanphoenix I couldn't remember if internal carriage was possible, which is why I said 12 to 18. I knew they could carry a dozen under the wings without a doubt. The weapons bay would have probably had Quickstrike mines then for a mixed attack option.

@@corvanphoenix that would be a great mix. Might be better fit for something like the Bone as it has three separate bays to put weapons in
Some fun new news we are also making AGM158XR or extreme range than can go 1000 miles plus and a new form of cruise missiles that can go 1300+ miles
That R-27 was very interested in what was going on in your cockpit
hmm yes
Eagles are SOOO back to being The Apex Predator 😂
Yarp, kinda cool.
*Stands in the door opening* "Are you winning Son?"
Yes pop!

Which is clearly anachronistic
And did not save Moskva
Love the video. So good to see the guys flying again.
Just so! Well done Grim Reaper team! Enjoyed seeing the different tactics!

23:19 “how embarrassing dark” had me dead
That was a surprisingly decent pronunciation of "Bardufoss"
Yay, finally: The return of "Sonderkommando Elbe" 🤩💥

USAF F-16s could carry harpoons in the 1980s IIRC.
Thanks, was unaware.

thank Crunchie it's Friday!
Still love DCS Cap!!!!
@1:30 Yes you can. Pronunciation was perfect :P
New stealth bomber with ship sink and untold decoy, spoofing, jamming capabilities
They already did a quick sink video actually a few
As a Norwegian, your pronunciation of "Bardufoss" was very good.
So happy to see a war-game in DCS again. I'm just not into Seapower

These ASMs look just like the Tacit Blue low observable demonstrator of the early 80s, which makes sense ie physics is physics
love your dcs vids!!! not over interested in the sea power stuff

Does DCS model MALD decoys or any of the ship-based decoys?
DCS does have MALDs, GR did videos with them, don't think ship decoys exist however
Can't wait to see LRASM in Seapower.

I believe they made a video on this as well
I think is name is Quick Sink but I like ShipSink as well
Thanks!
Not going to fall for an eagle in the tailpipe
lol

I think the B-52 can carry Tomahawks, but I know this is beyond the scope of this video.
It can and would have used harpoons
18:46 bro said gigady😭😭😭
I feel like the dumb bomb idea might have worked with a little luck and a little faster reflexes on the pickle.
Later on: "Dark, Fox 4"

Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing ❤
The word is marshmallows, not marshmellows.
What is a marshmallow?
AGM-154
Is spunkmiers from Dude Where's my Car?
Went to lakenheath back in the 70s
this is hilarious and a mood of militaristic silliness much missed
Russians shouldn't have been able to see the JSOWs
Dark was great! 😂
The lowest resolution modules in DCS over the sea, i expect 200fps minimum.
Why can’t you shoot a missile down, the one that’s acquired you?
yeah I could listen and watch the second go around all day and laugh but LOVE THE 15E
As a value I feel viewerd
in your face!

you should start doing US vs demark. those dudes have it coming
Second comment 😂
Your videos are always inspiring. Thank you for such unique content!🥒😂🦈
