Two of the most common requests I receive are for more 19-string arrangements AND a single row version of my Arran Boat Song (which I originally arranged for double strung harp). In this video I'm playing my new early intermediate large harp version (with all the same pretty melodic bits between the phrases). And the sheet music includes a BONUS arrangement for 19+ strings. I'm still new to the harp and I'm finding the Arran boat song even though it says for elementary re the small harp arrangement a bit difficult. I wonder if you could put bracketing from measure 33 onwards? It would be a big help :-)
@@donnamckinnon4927 I didn't include fingering for this one because there are quite a few valid ways that it can be done. The trick is to figure out a fingering that works for your hand, write it in and be consistent. I think once you've settled on fingering it's not too tricky to put hands together.
Thank you SO much for arranging this for single-strung full harp!! I’ve been waiting for this one & you’ve created a fantastic piece again!! Heading to the shop to buy… 🌊💙🎶
I just purchased this one, nice patterns and I find I can improvise easily too with it. Im going to include it on my list for playing at the craft show end of May. I am revisiting many of your pieces with this in mind…following the music too ❤
@@annecrosbygaudetmusic Thanks.. keep playing .. it's fantastic.. don't get to tune it but a couple times a month.. but very worthwhile to listen .. +++
Wow Anne, this arrangement really awakens me to my Scottish ancestry, which I am always proud of, but especially so when I hear a harp hum a Scottish tune. And as proud as I am to have Scottish roots, I will take the song of your double strung harp over bagpipes any time! 😁 Maybe I could play the 19-string version on Calliope. 🙂
Oh, Anne thats a great version...thank you. As i told you this Song never was my favorite, but i now start to like it 😍😍😍 I completely fell in love with your magical Double Strung Version...and with this in my ears i really like this single row version 😃😃😃 thats great 🤩😍🤩
@@annecrosbygaudetmusic absolutely, I adapted many of your compositions for my small harp. Your music sounds so pure and crisp on her. 😃 I have a book full of them 🥰
I have been enjoying your video and playing - but I am fascinated by how much the strings wobble! Or that from a special filming technique? Are you using heavy of light gauge gut strings?
I bought this recently and about to start learning it. I notice that the large harp version doesn't have many notes that won't fit on my 26-string (my bottom string is C). So I'm thinking it won't be too difficult to learn the large harp version which will sound slightly deeper and more mellow, and just find an alternative for that occasional low note - I think it's just two notes, occuring in the piece four times, in section 5 and 6. Any suggestions for this would be welcome! Such a lovely calm, un-fussy arrangement.
A beautiful arrangement, as always 😍😍 Do you by any chance have a video or table to buy and download where one can easily see which levers change, depending on the accidentals? I sometimes find myself struggling with this 😅 Lots of love from the harbour city Sydney!

Wow Anne! You knocked it outta the park again! Gorgeous arrangement of the Aran Boat Song. Just beautiful.
Thank-you, Sharon! ❤️
This might be my next "must learn!"
Ooo I hope so 🥰🎶
This is so pretty 😍 I love your music ❤

Thank you! This one is so calming. It’s going to sound amazing on your Dusty!
Ah yes, I totally agree!
This arrangement is by far the prettiest I have found...I'm enjoying getting reacquainted with this tune.
My neighbours hear this one frequently from my front porch 😂🎶 Glad you are enjoying it!
Loved your double strung arrangement of this piece. Easiest music purchase decision of my life! 😂
🤣 Ha ha, glad you felt good about your music purchase!

Very nice arrangement. I like how the interludes blend in to tie the parts together
Thank you very much!
Thumbs up again Anne.. such a great song.. Thanks..
Love big and small harp versions! I've been wanting a beautiful, playable version of this piece.
I'm so glad you like it, Linda!
Lovely ! Looking forward to playing it! Thank you Anne!!
Hope you enjoy it, Donna!
Grazie 🙏
You’re welcome!
I like your music, so beautiful. Thank you!
Thank you for watching, Irene!

I love this!!! Can't wait to try it....thank you for posting. It is always exciting to see a new video come through from you! 🎶
Yay! Thank you!
Oh thank you Anne, just the inspiration I needed , downloading asap. I can also play on my little dusty, so excited to hear both my harps sing.
Absolutely! This one will keep both harps busy!
My favorite double strung piece! Sounds lovely on your single strung as well 🎶
It's definitely one of my go-to double strung pieces as well!
So beautiful, Anne, as always!
Thank you so much!
How beautiful, Anne! Just what my soul needed today!
I’m so glad this one speaks to you ❤️
So beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
Love it!
Thanks!!
Wow thats amazing Anne🥰
Thank-you!
Filed it under Physics (as well as music). It's those vibrating strings in resonant motion, coupled with the frame rate.
I was pretty excited when I figured out the camera settings to capture the string movement 🤓
Beautiful! 😍 And very different from what I tweaked in your arrangement for the double strung. (Since I don't have one...)
Yes I remember when you did that! It’s fun figuring out the little tweaks to make each harp sound its best.

Lovely and lilting. I thought at first it must be Irish cos there seem to be little people dancing all about!
Sparkly magic is kind of my thing 😉✨♫
