    I have to say Edlin, you have a really good attitude. at4wobe1 made the comment 2 years ago that you can do the filter change through the engine compartment, and you acknowledged that he was correct. However, people still felt the need to repeat the same advice 1 year later and all the way up to 8 months ago. Instead of ignoring them, or getting upset, you thanked them for their advice. Good for you.

    Edlin, I for one want to say thank you for the video. I tried doing it the way through the engine compartment, but couldn’t finagle the second filter in. I find your way much easier. Thanks again.

    dude, I don't know who showed you that, but it's much easier through the engine compartment under the hood, Mercedes are genius for designing these for easy maintenance

    I should always read the comments first. Tried this following process even though my instinct was telling me this was wrong. So right, I got about a dozen bolts off for the glove box and decided to look at another video. As it typical for any cabin air filter I have changed you go through the front firewall, three bolts and two clips and they were changed. Why anyone would change these filters going through the glove box is beyond me. It like changing the oil by taking off the oil pan. way more work then you need to do.

      probably right but its what i found looking through forums so i did it that way.

    No paces tanto trabajo. Por él área del capo es más fácil. Frente al motor del lado izquierdo hay un respiradero. Habré la compuerta y verás los filtros.

    Don't go through the glove box. Easily reached from engine compartment.

      really ill have to do that next time !!

      year 2007 does not allow you to do that. It must only be changed through the glove box.

      You are absolutely right. I own 08 ML55. Undo a couple of steel clips with a flat screwdriver, pull enclosure out and up to remove. At this point, you can see the cabin filters. Vacuum excess dust from top of filters and remove subject... I found removing filters you have to be a little aggressive. Don't worry, you can't do any damage at this point. Thoroughly wash enclosure and clean area where the filters will sit. Replace and re-assemble enclosure. Your are done....Very satisfying. good luck my internet friends.

    So would I need to buy a total of 4 for 2 in the glove department part of the car and 2 for the under the hood part of the car?

    people keep saying it is easier to do it under engine hood. Does it apply to 2017 GLE350?

    • @A.Musa76
      @A.Musa76 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the 2016 I can get it thru both side (glove box and engine bay). Should apply on the 2017. The only concern I have going thru the engine bay is you have to bend the filter on the side like a accordion to get them into the slots.

    • @rabinzx
      @rabinzx 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@A.Musa76 just did a couple days ago. Just like you said, have to bend the filter.

    This is bad info. There are 3 filters.there are 2 filters side b side, and one that site in front of these 2 on the engine side. You must go in through the engine side to replace all three.
