Hey guys! This is another box that I have been holding onto since before the National Coin Shortage went into effect. I am now having a hard time getting full boxes of coins in my area because of the shortage and I only have two nickel boxes left and about a box and a half of Canadian pennies that I plan to go through sometime soon. Other than that, my bank has limited me to ten rolls of each denomination (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters) per week. Well, you work with what you can get. That being said, a new coin roll hunting series is in the works that I think you are all going to really enjoy! Stay tuned- more to come!
Hey, So I have a large amount of wheat pennies, and I was looking through them for key dates and errors etc. The first thing that I found, was that there was two 1946 s mint with what looks like some issue where the 46 is actually almost not there, and I can’t find anything saying it’s an error, but it’s kinda odd and definitely not normal. Second, I have a 1951 Philadelphia, where there is what looks like a large scratch on the back of it, but it’s not a scratch, cause I can still see the lettering and the pattern, so I’m pretty sure it’s an error, but I can’t find anything online about it, it’s fairly large and almost looks like the outer layer of that part of the coin was taken off, obviously you know a lot about coins, so I’m hoping that you can help me try to identify if these are errors or not.
I showed my brother your videos and he SO wanted to do a coin roll hunt with me. Sadly, my little Bro passed in early April and we never got the chance. As today is 5 months since he passed, I was happy to see this video pop up! Perfect timing 😀 Keep them coming!!
Have you ever tried finding the infamous Henning Nickels? Those are still around in circulation. The 1944 no mint mark was the giveaway. Other dates are 1939, 1944, 1946, 1947 & 1953. The R for Pluribus on the reverse tends be a bit off from a normal R
I’m always on the lookout for them! They are pretty hard to miss especially with such an obvious error on the ‘44! I have plenty of pre-60s nickels that I saved and may look through them one day for the other dates.

Hey Jorge, thanks for the order! I sent out your placemats on Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. They typically take 5-7 business days to arrive, although the post office has been running a bit slow recently. Let me know if you have any other questions! You can also email me at quinscoins@gmail.com
Coin value depends heavily on what condition the coin is in. That’s probably why you are seeing so many different values. Also, that “F” you are seeing is not a mint mark. It’s part of the designers initials
The 'F' is not a mintmark, it is the designer's initial (Fraser). All of them have it and, as the 'F' is incuse (below surface) it will be visible after the date wears away. A mint mark would be below the plain on which the bison stands, below 'FIVE CENTS'. Lack of a mintmark indicates a Philadelphia minted coin. As they were late in the series and had high mintages, the '36 coins are among the most common of the set.
If you mean a 'War Nickel', the alloy was not well regulated with stripes, voids, laminations being somewhat common. If your coin bears the large mintmark above Monticello's dome, it's a 35% silver coin.

If you mean that you have a 1926 'Buffalo Nickel', it is among the more common ones if from Philadelphia (no mintmark). Look on the reverse (back) for a small 'D' or 'S' below the words 'FIVE CENTS". The 1926 D is worth a nice premium and the 1926 S can be quite valuable, nearing $200. in very fine (an upper mid grade) condition. In XF it climbs to $750.
