Great video, I would mention that spring adjustment should be done VERY sparingly. If you are having a top not going up issue a long 550-600 deg at 4-5 hrs burn is necessary to burn out the moisture the top can collect. I have a video that explains the construction and why this is the case. Great video!
Thanks! Good tip! A good way to help avoid that is to keep it covered, and always seal your grout cracks. You should also leave the damper cracked slightly open and only latch to the first latch between cooks. Allows air flow and saves your gasket. Of course if you leave it uncovered and don’t seal the grout you’ll have a lid that even a spring that’s twice the size won’t open 😁. I’ve seen pictures where someone bent the assembly because there was too much water in the lid. A good 550+ burn is always good as well. I did one before the cleaning video since I was making calzones. Congrats on the KK and thanks for watching!
Should be noted that a regular shop vac needs a drywall filter so the exhaust is clean. I have Jose detail my KK42 every week as part of his regular routine. That way it’s less work. I use drip trays under what ever I cook so no grease any where bit in the foil lined tray. Nice video, thanks very much.
You can go to Home Depot and get a little brass brush. Back it out and give the threads a good scrub with the brush. Can do the male and female part. Good luck!
Funny you should ask. I’ll be doing a video this weekend or next on that. Only good way to do is heat. Bring it up to a high temp for a few hours and that will burn everything off. Just bring it up slowly.
I really enjoy your videos. You do a great job explaining things in detail.
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
Love the KK videos!!!
Thanks, more coming!
❓ *What video do you want to see next?* 🍻

Great stuff. I'll have to get some of that Zep degreaser.

@@RumandCook thanks will look for that video
Dennis says the high heat cleaning process is not good practice on the KK from my understanding.
