Someones impersonating you they replied to my comment saying I won I cant fall for someone with one sub though
@@Dipplin. Same here. The imposter tried again just now.
@@Mr_K_O god my inner meme is screaming among us
You got spambots in the comment section.
Haha no Engineering School
They really made an enemy that gives more of a Fight or Flight response than the Guardians
even mid game theyre a pain. more likely to run unless i have the gear and health stuff for PG
At this point i saw them and just turned off the game it was night alone in the dark that screech nooe
Guardians were more fight than flight , Especially late game where you can easily parry the laser and kill them
Those hands on the other hand ( pun intended ) can’t be easily killed , thus causing more flight than fight , even late game
@@pixelpkm Put a wing on your shield to increase your shield jump height and you can go into bullet time from a standing position. From there, just go ham on the eyes with your strongest bow. They are a pain in the ass in the early game but really shouldn't be much of a problem once you get, say, a Lynel bow. Alternatively, spam bomb arrows and pray lol.
@LockPickinPaws
They can climb anything thats at less than an 80° angle.
I know because they climbed up a slope that steep during an encounter with them.
I just beat the hands and what comes after and they honestly are more terrifying than the guardians imo
I shat myself first time I saw it
"What do you mean Phantom Ganon?!"
I honestly can’t believe we traded the guardians for that monstrosity
I was in the cave under the hyrule ridge tower and I started throwing bomb flowers at it and I was so happy when I killed it so you can imagine how much i shit myself when I saw the words phantom ganon appear lmao
I love how this game is just more of Botw.
Enemies get new things like horns, ofc new enemies, new weapon system, even the powers are like the old ones (magnesis is master hand, lock is zawarudo)
They even added jumpscares like when you enter a cave there’s bats coming out
So many people questioned why tulin has it around his ankle clearly haven’t seen a bird at a pet store before
"Handsy" was truly terrifying. Especially at high noon, not too far from kakariko village, thinking i got another blood moon.
Yes the red sky was soooooo creepy !
That Handsy was the one that I encountered first too.
Handsy is terrifying
I thought the game was initiating a panic blood moon like botw did sometimes (which can happen anytime) so I didn't worry too much at first. It was on the other side of a ruined wall or something, and didn't see me, but close enough to trigger the sky. I knew something was wrong though when the sky cleared up and the cutscene didn't play.
Then it screeched. And promptly jump scared me when one of appendages lurged from around the corner and managed to grab me. Then I saw how many there were and the sky turned an angry red again.
It made me even more scared when I couldn't outrun it and a single leap up a wall or cliff wasn't high enough to escape its reach. It killed me. It wasn't until the second encounter I realized I couldn't heal the damage from it. So yeah, 10/10 experience. 😂
Choc not knowing to pronounce archipleago is something i'd either never forget or giggle at and forget within 15 minutes
You not knowing how to spell archipelago is something I'd neither forget nor giggle at and forget within fifteen minutes.

It’s so interesting to see how everybody tackles all of the puzzles in their own way
RTGame with his classic method of L O N G S T I C K
im more interested in how the game makes everyone say theyre big brained despite the solution barely working at all
So the Colgera battle is reminiscent of the battle against the worm thing “Moldera” I think from Wind Waker. Just, cold and in the air. The music is also reminiscent
Fr
It's Molgera and you're right.
Guardian = panic
Hands = literally screaming
if choco reads comments...he missed out on getting part of the glider suit near the shrine at 14 something..if you talk to the construct on that island they make you do the test again for glider suit and another reward
Best armor set
Yeah when he missee the npc i was like "BRUH YOU IDIOT"
@@astralfrog no fall damage is kind of neat when maxed out
I'm not surprised he missed more than a few things he should have been able to put 2and 2 together to realise like the armoured bokoblin and the hinox instead of attacking it when he shot the eye he ran away like wtf.
The other reward isn’t that good tbh just a large power cell whatever they’re called
I figured that you could shoot the boss with arrows but I refused to do anything but dive-bomb through its body. It was made all the more epic by Tulin screaming “GOOOOOOOOOOO” on the last dive to finish it off
Wait- I could have dived through that thing? Damn, I lost a lot of arrows
@@moonlightsymphony06 Yeah, after it starts shooting the ice spikes off its back, the ice gets exposed on that side and I recognized that it was like the sheets of ice you can jump on and break so I dove headfirst through it
@@pj_spirit yeah, I noticed that too.. after I finished the boss off with a shit ton of arrows lol
Yep this is the only correct way to beat the boss. Shooting it with arrows is the lame virgin way
The Depths is the most terrifying experience in this game besides those gloom hands. First time I took gloom damage I was like nope and got out of there.
Once you get some gloom proof armor it gets a lot easier.
Really? I found it quite peaceful, often I won't even light the place up and just walk around. Fell off cliffs a few times but still nice
So you just never did it?
Im glad Choc had the same reaction to the hand enemy as me.
That shit is terrifying.
Edit: holy shit i just realized!
Its like that one enemy from Oot or Mm i don’t remember, the fat white dude with blood stains on him.
Dead Hand, in Ocarina. *shudders* That thing traumatized the heck out of me. And I was in COLLEGE.
@@penprp thats the name!
I love how they went back to screwing with people’s sleep schedules.
I never experienced Ocarina cause i was too young and i have found a new appreciation for Zelda games.
You think thats scary when you kill it phantom Gannon spawns
@@desplaynam3 woah thanks for the spoilers my man
@@desplaynam3 yeah, but Phantom Ganon's not scary
Hey choc! A helpful tip to the dephs, there are lightroots directly underneath the shrines on the overworld, so this helps if you want to look for shrines or to look for lightroots
I honestly feel bad for the koroks who are all being tortured by the fanbase. 😂
Can't blame the fanbase after the literal shit the Koroks give us.

@@staticshock4239 mad cuz bad
@StaticShock42 if someone gave me a pile of shit for helping them I'd consider that a offense so true
I don’t
SAME! the Gloom Hands FREAKED ME OUT! They're like a fusion of Floor Masters and Dead Hand's arena hazards
I just want to say that I did this wearing the Phantom Armor, and since your gear shows up in cutscenes it made everything so much funnier. Tulin is just like “it’s you!” and they turn to see death staring back.
33:03 was it a crush or just an eons of faith coming from zelda
the amount of support link gets is staggering, it's so damn melancholic
You can actually shield surf (on the rails) without the minecart, but it does allow one to roll around on the ground easier
the coolest thing imo about the rail grinding is that you don't even need to use a minecart, you can just grind with your regular shield and it works just as well. Also there's multiple ways to make skateboards, so that's neat!
Not needing to use a minecart makes it way lamer to me. The other sheilds fitting the rails makes no sense and it takes away a special discovery that so many people thought was so cool. It shows some of the missed opportunity with fuse.
15:55 happens
Everyone who approached the light dragon for some reason:"How do we tell him?"
My new favorite thing is strapping Koroks to rockets like Sid from Toy Story!
(got a clip on my channel)
Thinking there's a korok under every rock is such a mood, can't quite purge that botw brain
12:16 I never thought that I could make a bridge for that tower. I've made a boat and use ascend to go on that tower. This game is really the game of the year.
Kind of cool if you payed attention too the divine beast history, they were named after the sages in this game, hence their masks
Goron: Rudania
Gorudo: Naboris
Rito: Medoh
Zora: Ruta
You misspelled Gerudo
Been known
i thought they were references to characters from other games (medli, nabooru, ruto, etc)
actually they were probably sages or something too, i havent played oot so i wouldnt know lol
@@glassphoenix9095They were sages in that game
Little fun fact! Tulin which was the rito that joined you for the wind temple is voiced by one of my favorite VA's! Cristina V she's in quite a few games I've played and I really love her work and I watched some of her own voice overs of music from other games. She's really good and she's just amazing in general
Ryuko Matoi motherfuckers… wait, I’m right there, right? Cuz I know she also voices Gon, and that kid gives off major Gon vibes.
Yeah I love Tulin his ability is amazing and I definitely recognized that voice Christina also played killua in hunter x hunter
@@outrightflame4280 Ohhhhh, got my voices mixed up. Those two always sounded similar to me.
They are a great voice actor, don’t get me wrong. But I am SO TIRED of little boys being acted by grown females because it always ends up sounding like they all have the EXACT same voice!
I love Tulin, but MAN I miss Teba. Loved Sean Chiplock’s voice for him.
Hopefully he can figure out he can make a meal that recovers gloom hearts

When creations get away from you or get too far to reach with ultrahand, you can use the rewind ability to bring it back.
yeah, rewind has a pretty long reach, way more than any other ability
26:34 Knew I wasn’t doing that right, spent like ten minutes trying to spin it with the ultra hand
I get goosebumps SOO OFTEN playing this game
Everytime I enter the Depths I feel so much anxiety.
Yo, this guy is naturally funny, but his voice makes it even funnier for some reason.😂
Love it 🎉

I think we all had the exact same reaction with the same words leaving our mouths the very first time we encountered the gloom monster. Verbatim, "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAAAAAT?!?!?!?:
Same I just fucking ran
It was the FIRST monster I found after landing, which has to be the ultimate RNG cruelty. I freaked the hell out, screamed, and died SUPER fast.
Man those gloom hands were literally terrifying, thought it was just a blood moon but man I was horribly wrong 😢. Also the abilites are so helpful and open up endless possibilities, and glad to see dungeons & temples are back 🌟
One common thing I've noticed is everyone calls the secret stones" the tears of the kingdom" until their first temple when they learn what they are actually called
A lot of people still call it tears even after that and its annoying lol
@@jasonnewbery yep I noticed that as well a bit after commenting this
there's a limit on how many things you can fuse, another youtuber fused so many logs that it broke the phsyics, and when he picked it up with an ability, it started to wiggle like jello
Alternate Title: Donkey Kong plays Breath of the Wild 2 and goes insane
The falling rocks that you Recall are the true Revali's Gale replacement.
Also, that guy who beat the game in 94 minutes had over a week to prepare. He downloaded the leak version that came out on May 1st and practiced beforehand.
Ahh the gloom hands reminds me of when I first found them (I just loaded a older save file and ran the other direction)
Breath of the Wild is certainly a majestic game all things considered but I have to say, Tears of the Kingdom is Extraordinary! All the new things that are in it, fusing, building, crazy stuff! And fricking hell with the Gloom enemies, people used to say about the Guardians being all tough and scary especially with their theme constantly being used in different videos as well to convey fear and now with the Gloom it's like PUT IT BACK WHERE IT CAME FROM OR SO HELP ME!!
Choc just found my worst nightmare in the first second
been enjoying your totk series thus far! looking forward to more
You definitely need to finish the spiral islands. That armor set bonus is incredible. I tried it out for the first time the other day and it was the best moment of gaming for me in years.
Here's a tip for beating the Gloom Spawn (the hands at the beginning); they spawn in groups of five and will respawn after a while until you beat all of them. The most effective strategy I've found is to freeze them and then use a bomb arrow in the middle again and again. After making an ice wand with a sapphire or any other ice elemental object, they become a lot less scary. It's what comes *after* defeating them that's worrying.
Edit: I forgot to mention but they can't follow you up walls, so climbing or using Ascend is a viable escape strategy.
Imagine if they were able to climb walls. If it's too steep they can't, someone else mentioned.
The walls have to be steeper than 80°
You need something straight vertical if you want the floor master dead hands from chasing you up to your hiding spot.
I killed one with bomb arrows once and immediately regretted it once I discovered what spawns after you beat them
"Skip-It-lookin-ass dragon" is a great line, and a deep cut. 😂
I recognized Tulin’s VA. She’s voiced characters in several popular anime, cartoons and games, even if for just one episode. I recognized her from street fighter V of all things.
“I honestly have no idea what I’m building, but here we go.” Me every two seconds in this game lol
The minecart shield helped me escape the gloom hands when I first encountered them. Absolute clutch item and also hella fun to use!
I didn't know fear until I stumbled upon the gloom hands the first time. All that went through my brain was "WHATTHEHELLWHATTHEHELLWHATTHEHELLWHATTHEHELL" on a constant loop until I died.
Bruh was so damn close to a peice of the glide set, like just feet away, yet he went right past it. It is such an awesome set.
You always remember your first guardian encounter and now i will always remember my first gloom hands encounter, i made some undignified noises and swore about 17 times
Now I realize I was supposed to have the paraglider for the windy device shrine. I just put the fan on the high ground with ultra hand, brought it back down and used recall on it.
"Everything can be solved with a really long bridge."
Choctopus and Pointcrow
12:17 I love how we shared the exact same brain cell. There was probably some other way to get up that was much simpler, but long bridge was easier to think of when all the materials are right there
When i beat Colgera i also ran out of stamina just as my last hit connected. It was so satisfying and such a relief
10:19 Fun fact: you don't have to fuse a mine cart to Tony Hawk it up. You can just use the vanilla shield.
When the hands come out the bomb arrows fly. Relentlessly.
Imagine being Rivoli: studying for years to profect your updraft technique-- and your the only one in your village who can preform this feat. And then you're out classed by bobble you can freely collect from a gumball machine.
Colgera is the best.
I only beat the wind temple so far, but Colgera's theme is just PERFECT.
Tulin: SHIP!
Link: Tulin, when are you gonna stop living in your little fantasy world?
Tulin: No look! A giant ship!
The combat shrines themes is a BANGER
idk if ya did do the dlc for age of calamity but, In Teba and Revali's chapter Tulin somehow got pulled back too. And by the end of the mission he kinda can do Revali's gale but not quite. Also Revali was actually impressed by it. So i guess Totk decided to make that canon kinda.
They didnt make tulin have those abilities because of aoc lmao
Finally completed the story and all shrines in totk so I can finally watch your videos again
Can't wait to see his reactions for the other bosses
Thanks but I'll pass 👍
Seems a lot of people went Wind Temple first. I went Water Temple first. I just couldn't let the Zoras suffer after they'd been so warm and welcoming to me in BOTW.
Thanknyou for the video😂 i laughed at a lot of your little edits (im 27 and still laughed at the hinox farts😂) thank you again and look forward to more awesome content!
The fused kart grind thing honestly left my jaw on the floor. As someone who doesn't even own a Switch, that's instant GOTY stuff right there.
You don't even need to fuse a cart onto a shield to grind on rails
I just figured out that when putting stuff on fire to make an updraft, throwing a spicy pepper or pinecone in there makes the flame burn hotter and the updraft HIGHER. This game is awesome and there are a ton of cool mechanics
Happy birthday, Choc!
Hearing Choc try to pronounce archipelago made my day
I found one of the floor master things almost immediately and I WAS NOT ready😂
Iight iight this dude is hilarious and the editing is spot on, you get my sub
7:02 i instinctively finished the song when you said that and im so glad it wasnt a fever dream. I used to watch to that video on repeat. It was like baby sensory videos to me.
Super neat that he consistently refuses, or maybe neglects, to fuse items to his weapons from his inventory.
I did a quick search. Tulin is voiced by Christina Vee. Miraculous Ladybug and Darkness of Konosuba herself!
For that Lazer beam puzzle I used recall and shield jumped through the grid, I completely forgot about ascend as an ability for that one 😂
I need moreeeee, this is awesome!!!
Man, Choc is a great TH-camr if he makes you laugh.
He's like "Oh it can create wormholes..." *unamused* "Cool"
My reaction was almost the same "Oh, of course, it can teleport! Because why the flap not?!"
after the skydive event, near the shrine u missed a npc, which gives you a cool piece of armor as a reward for beating his trial once (cost a zhonai charge per trail)
I love the anime references you made it makes it a lot more enjoyable
Day one, I accidentally found Links Tunic. Then I went way too far north west and Link is freezing (no wonder, he doesnt seem to be wearing pants) and then accidentally stumbled across the cold-resistance helm. I've done very little else but somehow keep finding special armour.
Well basically any Armour is special in this game. You can find all the dlc armour from botw in base totk.
Fyi maximizing your weapons strength with fuse is basically required since every enemy in the game is so much stronger and many of the weapons have been made weaker thanks to Gloom (Royal Claymores went from like 54 to 14 strength for reference)
I really wish I had taken the game's advice and gone to the Rito first, like you did. I'd already beaten the water, lightning, and spirit temples, gotten all the geoglyph memories and the Master Sword, and done a whole bunch of side quests, when I finally got Tulin's ability and went "...so many things would have been so much easier with this. 🤦♂"
I love watching other people play this game. That puzzle in the wind temple where you made an impromptu pinwheel and gust to open the door. I stuck one rock on it, manually turned it for about 15 seconds, then recalled it so it would spin and still open the door. How many solutions do some of these puzzles have?
"Why does Tulin sound like an anime character?"
I mean, his VA, Cristina Vee, did the English voice for Killua in Hunter x Hunter.
Wow the ball and rail puzzle really got you. I just made a diamond shape around the rail and glued the ball to the side lmao
The cart shield is amazing tho!
“And I unlocked dark shadow” idk why but that’s hilarious to me
The enemy you couldn't take down was a black bokoblin with rock armor, gotta use bombs or crushing weapons
i knew about the hands going in but i still almost cried the first time i found them myself... i want the guardians back
I remember doing the ishodag shrine completely wrong idk if I didn’t have paraglided yet but I used the fans ultrahand and recall to cheese it
dude the mine cart shield part actually blew my freakin mind!
There’s something strangely intriguing about watching someone else approach the same problems you already have, and take a completely different route to solve them than you did, or do something that make you realize that what you chose to do was really dumb. The shrine where you had to get the ball down the rails was the latter for me, I spent way to long making a complicated holder that refused to come together and kept slipping off
Hi Choctopus I love this and I hope you have a good day and you are awesome and funny
Yep Gloom Hands are scary and my first one was when I needed to (Spolier) clean the gloom from the Deku Tree and well, i'll leave that you to find out Choc.
Tip: Press R when midair (dont hold just press) instead of regularly falling because it allows you to travel further and fall slower. It also helps with air puzzles and sorts like that.
intro was literally me, they are the new gaurdians
I also use really long bridge to solve a lot including a temple puzzle
Seeing the gloom hands from underneath is freaky. The docks under Hyrule castle, there’s an opening and you can see the gloomhands moving.
I had no idea about the shield cart. I have to try that later.
If you go to the spiral islands you can talk to a construct and get armor that increases mobility wile free falling
