Great video! Just might want to turn down the music slightly, so as to better hear the information you're presenting! Your video introduced me to features I didn't know my shifter had. Haha. Thanks for your efforts!

Sounds very tactile and with the exciter it seems like a great shifter.
For me it really is great as you can see from the video ;) And adding exciter/shaker to whatever shifter setup you have proved to be great project by itself as well!

I just placed an order for simrig SR2 to replace my v3. haha.
It is repaired now and got it back. Well, turns out do not miss it that much, ahahah. Seatmover is fun enough, I want 4 actuators in all corners to have better pitch effect. Will be selling it and maybe try RS Mega+ instead of buying second motion plus…
@@57uyo yeah rs mega+ is tempting and not that expensive. But I go with the simrig sr2 for easy set up and less space required. V3 been good for me so far but I just can't resist the heave effect with 4 actuators... I can only imagine it will feel much better than just v3. It's also a total lost if no one buy it from me.
I suggest taking the loss of the 1 motion + u have and go rs mega+. It's even cheaper than a motion +.
@@rickylah69 this is exactly my plan - M+ is already listed for sale ;) I am definitely keeping the V3 for surge effects and additional accent to whatever motion platform I go with. Also for flight!
@@57uyo just some updates but i have sold the SR2, and ordering the RS mega+. if possible, definitely go for 4 actuators. its a BIG BIG step up compared to the v3. I have also shared dont use it with seat mover(due to loose seat, effects get lost), although u will miss the gforce, but it gives you alot of sharp small movement with a rigid seat you wouldnt miss the gforce after a week.
And lastly, 4 actuators is really crazy fun in dirt rally compared to v3 its almost addictive.
SR2 was really good, but i kinda wanna find out RS mega+ which is cheaper, yet double the travel.
@@rickylah69 my RS Mega should arrive in day or two. I think you replied also on the RD thread about the seatmover, have to write there as well at some point ;)
the throw is so short, i might have problem with muscle memory when i drive my real daily car. haha. its model after a real race car h shifter.
Never had this issue with my real car ;) Wonder what the throw would be with the extensions, by default it is much shorter than the Fanatec throw (I really like it that way). Either way indeed it is modelled after real race car and I presume this is how it is in real life 🤪
I can confirm the throw is very much like a race car. I worked with Dave to match it to my race car 👍🏻

@@57uyo would you mind measure the distance from centre of the knob, gear 1 and gear 5? im trying to compare with my real car shifter.
I sold my simagic ds-8x because it was too wide btw horizontally, and doesnt help with my muscle memory when i drive my real car. VNM shifter was very similar distance.
