I just bought your book this week, it’s really helpful. I’m trying to overcome my anxiety and pacing attacks, that are so crippling at times. My mum said that she was fearful when she was young, and her had a similar fear mum (both of theirs went) so maybe I just agreed with them, but I definitely had specific traumas that created my panic attacks and avoidance. Now I’m trying to work through changing my perspective based on your tips. I’m excited to be free soon and live fear free as it’s so stressful to be so anxious.
Do keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on. Our book ‘Conquering Anxiety’ has helped so many people and we really hope it helps you too. Also we have lots of films here on our TH-cam channel that will enhance further the book and exercises suggested. Wishing you lots of success in your journey to living a life filled with happiness and overcoming your anxieties. Our love & best wishes to you x
@@nikandevaspeakman Aww thank you so much. Yes I'll definitely keep you posted with how I get on, I've got through 90% of the book so far and I've learned so much, I noticed that some of anxieties have already began to calm down, I'm now working on going through my timeline each day. I appreciate all that you are doing to change lives, the films are so helpful. You are both God sends. Many blessings. 🙏🏽😇x
I think I had a 'phobic experience'. I fell ill at my grandmother's in 2019. A couple of days after I went on the train. Felt scared of the speed. I went into the toilet to get away from the movement through the windows and was panicking, but managed to get back home. I haven't been on a train since. The same thing happened on a bus, but I recently got onto a bus for a couple of stops and felt ok. What's the best thing to do in that process? I'd love to travel further on the bus.

Hi Sally, check out the Timeline technique video on our channel which will show you how to find how your phobia started: th-cam.com/video/DzwzaYXgw_Y/w-d-xo.html
They said write down all of your traumas and take them to a therapist and see if they can pinpoint the root and help you to change your schema on this. You can also work through these by yourself, changing the narrative, you can get there book on Amazon, it’s really helpful. You can overcome this. ❤️
I like to think I’m fairly tough as I am a black belt martial artist but I can’t cope with mice and rats I’m fine with any other rodent but mice and rats just terrify me the way they scurry under your feet and they crawl over stuff and their tails I can’t remember when it started but I want to finish it
Firstly congratulations on that black belt, that’s awesome! A phobia is your body’s protection response against a ‘perceived’ but not real danger, based on something you saw, learned, heard or experienced most often in childhood (or it can be a copied behaviour , so for example if as a child you see a sibling scared of mice & rats then you could potentially copy that assuming that this is the right thing to do, especially if that sibling is older). Until you sever the link between rodents & your fight or flight response, you will continue to feel the same way no matter how strongly or sensible you are as it’s n automatic response. To sever that link, the most effective way is to challenge the origin of your phobic learning coupled with collating and looking for evidence as to why what you believed is untrue. Hope our film helps too.

One problem... I have absolutely no idea how or what caused any of my phobias to start...
Take a look at our film on the causes of phobias called 'This Is Why You Have A Phobia' here on our channel. Hope it helps.

What if you don't know how or when your phobia started?
