Ok so for the ones who just can not get past the dam title lol, the ideas and how to build out of just common every day items to build a couple of paddle boats and a kayak are amazing ways to show that anybody can do this with minimal tools and materials good job, as for the foam at least your keeping sealed up in most unlike all the fast food and other containers floating around, at least ur recycling some of the materials. Anyhow my 2 cents keep up the good work! Loved the video
I recently visited Halong bay in Vietnam, which was full to the brim of styrofoam pieces floating everywhere, from mm to a few meters in size (rabbit 💩 size to 12 bananas for our American friends) so I'd argue it's a really really bad idea
Foam(m), fiberglass, glue, and a lot of ingenuity serves the project well..... "environmental nightmare" ? I'm not seeing how you even put that in the title except as a "gaff" to get views but I will say that this is very interesting to see. Using hot-wires to cut foam is very kool & save a lot of time once you get the electric setup properly so the wire doesn't get so hot it breaks off. That said, this has given me the groundwork to build one a little larger but forget pedaling for locomotion..... there's a lot of small gas motors or get a small 4Stroke motor for bicycles & add a shaft -n- prop to move you. I think it would surprise people just how easy this could become a real boat you'd use? His design is sharp but I doubt it would be good on a boat w/ a motor unless you swept the wings backwards more. Designs are easy so I want to know what type of foam they used here & why? Strengthening the connected pieces with wooden dowels was smart as well.... these guys have been building surfing stuff or other boards for a while b/c they've got all the hand-made cutting wires perfected. Thanks for the video but where is their channel links? I'd really like to check them out? peace
Environmental nightmare? Do you know what goes into producing a comercial lake cruiser, fishing boat or row boat? Not to mention medium to large yachts or sailboats? These are NOTHING in comparison.
FANTASTIC BUILDS!! Thanks for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼
