I highly recommend some type of feeder if for no other reason than to keep your hands away from the crush zone. And maybe a guard around the crank wheel. Otherwise, looks great.

Buen trabajo, pero seguro que puedes compactar más las latas, para dejarlas en 0'5 cm de grosor ya que tienes ayuda del motor

I like your design but I want to add a feeder. How large diameter are your crank wheels?

Nice little unit mate you have the power and speed right but just wondering why you made such a wide crush zone. If you narrowed it down a bit the can won't be able to go in lenght ways if you place it in wrong or it bounces into the wrong postion. But it has to be the best on youtube at the momment well done.

Glad you liked it. The crush zone is not as wide as you think. 3 3/8" wide and long enough for a 24oz can.The side guides makes it so you can't put a can in wrong unless you stand it up. The side guides also keep the can from rolling out of the crush zone. Thanks

Howdy Barry, I want to build this can crusher but I want to bypass the middle. Let me know if you think this will work. I want to add a 9 to 10 inch dia. wheel directly to the motor shaft. Attach a single push bar, and crush the can into a aluminum box. This will make the overall length shorter. Will I have enough power to crush the cans? Thanks for your time. :)

Time I have plenty of. You might be able to do it if you have a large enough motor and about a 3/4 inch keyed shaft. A 9" dia wheel is what I use. Getting a geared motor to run it can be VERY expensive. A single push rod might be a problem. It takes a lot of force to crush a can. It took me a year of experimenting before I got it right.Have you seen my newest video of how I made it. 11 min long. I am always willing to help a fellow inventor.

OK. I see you have seen my newest video. Remember, you only want 1 revolution every 3 seconds (20 per minute). That's why I used a pulley sham (sprocket sham). The motor itself runs at 60 rpm. If you need to email me: barry.bswmfg@yahoo.com. Good Luck

I read your email, but when I tried to reply, it got deleted. Anyway, if you reduce the voltage to the motor, you also reduce it's power, and it's hard on the motors electrical. A regular light dimming switch will probably not work. Sounds like the same motor I buy at Harbor Freight. Please re-send that email to me again.
