  • We had a great day at the York club, the 21/2 gauge society were making a visit as well. These little loco's are amazing.
The 71/4 gauge steam loco's were having a bit of trouble so never got a ride on one,but we made up for it by having a lap behind a diesel.
Thanks to all the members for a great day.

Brilliant video! I've visited this one a couple of times during the layover on railtours to York but not yet been on the raised track!

Glad you enjoyed it! Nice raised track but a struggle for the small 2 1/2 gauge loco's.But most got round without to much bother.

I had heard that the 7 1/4 railway has been removed and that a better longer track was planned. The York M E S is just south of the station and can be seen from the passing trains. We had every gauge running on Sunday even the standard gauge..LOL. The Sutherland was lovely even had the wooden brake blocks.Regards Chris.

I wish there was locos like that near my house. I swear the class 66 was just like a model railway DCC sound loco. Weird.
