We ordered thissince we are planning to get a dog and we've watched dog lover on tv many times. The book th-cam.com/users/postUgkxGQVgV21bQ7B9b9duQ1ByImyT9xHbjOKq is a simple read and easy to understand. I like that it gives examples. We haven't put it into practice yet, so that will be the true test.

I am the trainer and educator of Team Peaches Dog Training and Education. I have been training since 1969. DD, I only have a few words to describe what I am seeing in this video. You are dealing with a dog that needs to feel secure enough to calm down and follow your lead. Meaning, from the dog's point of view, if you can control me, you can protect me. If you can protect me, I will follow your lead. As to what you are doing in this video, considering the type of dog that you are working with, excellent choice of technique and you have a very clear understanding of the dog. Keep up the good work.

@@kyjohns8271 Thank you for your comment. It is about the dogs' and their needs as individuals, so many trainers here on TH-cam, are at war with one another, and it very much saddens me. You are so correct, in speaking about egos. When did dog training become about a trainer's ego? When did we lose sight of the dogs' needs? I have made 2 videos in which I speak on the know-it-all trainers and the ongoing attacks targeting trainers as myself from one particular purely positive trainer. I am a common sense realistic trainer. I do not use just one approach when helping dogs and their people, what I do is completely individualized for the dog. For example, I have 7 previously neglected, abused, and unwanted dogs, and one requires a slow and gentle approach when working with her. I have another dog who requires a firm, no-nonsense approach. Regarding our name, the team, of Team Peaches, consists of my 5 trained canines, Peaches, Shay, Daisy, Nikki, and Prince. The namesake is my girl Peaches. She is a Border Collie and Jack Russell mix who is now 8 years old. Not only is she my top training dog, but she works double duty, she is also my diabetic-alert, service dog.

Most trainers that criticize are afraid of a dog like this. His ability to read the dogs body language and reflexes allows him to not get caught off guard and establish he’s in control of the situation. The rest of the session is nothing out of the ordinary, it just takes a confident handler to start the training process .

@TeslaNick2 I think you need to learn the definition of abuse. Taking control from a fearful/aggressive dog & teaching him to deal with triggering situations is NOT abuse. DD doesn't hurt any of these animals. The initial reaction to him by pulling away & crying out isn't pain, it's fear & is incredibly short lived. The comfort they gain by pushing past that fear is life changing for them, in nothing but positive ways.

I always saw that you read the dogs body language and you are very good at what you do. But I have to applaude that in these type of video's that I recently see passing, you really focus on showing us your balanced method, without the undue focus on the more sensational issues in controlling an aggressive or fearful dog that is necessary prior to applying your training technique. Because this was what the positive only gang is misusing to set you and other balanced trainers in a bad daylight.
Please go on with these kind of video's. They may be less sensational, but they show the incredible potention of your method to literally change the mind of a fearfull or agressive dog in a very short time. I know that it does not end after this one session, but while working with the dog in a real world situation ( and not some ideal created environment) you explain the owner how it works, to allow him or her to continue to work with the dog and get progress. Thank you Augusto 👍

@@jeanettewight6365 Owners with "problem dogs" that were not helped will always find the way to his courses. It is one thing to look at a video, it is another to experience his sessions. With these videos he promotes his approach more positively than with the more sensational ones. Augusto strives to help as many dogs and owners as possible. The results of his approach are immediately apparent. The positive only followers are much less likely to criticize and abuse his videos, while they are also unable to show results themselves, which can quickly change a dog's mindset in a positive way for both dog and owner . It is quite clear that, although the dog is indeed extra stressed in the beginning, it very quickly becomes more relaxed and builds up confidence in the things that happen in its environment.

Both of the mama dogs we had were the most loving protective mama dogs I've ever known, but neither would HESITATE to pin a disobedient puppies to the ground by the throat, or even rolling them if they were being disrespectful...I can honestly say I like you, was shocked into thinking she was being vicious, until I researched the matter. In the wild, these animals must learn respect or they will be killed by the pack, same in the real world, if they don't learn respect they are way more likely to be put down.

Sorry to hear about your allergies. That’s tough. I can understand feathers, birds & cats (I have them too) and with cats the allergy is to their saliva proteins. That’s a hard one to avoid, since they continually groom themselves & and don’t like daily baths !. It helps to keep your hands washed and away from your face & eyes.
With dogs, I think there are a few breeds that are less allergenic for people … but sometimes it’s more the stuff they get into that people are allergic to … weeds, pollens, etc. ❤

Dog Daddy makes the training look so easy & doable for owners of aggressive dogs and that's the ONLY way to save them from potential harm in the future! I really like and enjoy the new format of showcasing your training. Hopefully it will slowly show the other side that your training is not always so "physical" as in the earlier videos of your work. I guess with the increasing exposure you're now getting, you also need to consider "desensitizing" not only dogs but ppl too! 😂

@its_Today_ l believe you're spot on with this. Not everyone has the same level of intelligence to 'get it' & even continue to follow through with online instructions. They need the in-person experience where they see their own dog literally transform before their eyes once they're given over to Augusto's expert hands. That goes a long way in explaining to any doubters out there why classes are 3 hours long & why Augusto urges them to come along to a class after each video. He definitely has the right formula 👏 👌

If you notice her tail. The tail says a lot. At one point she had it totally tucked, then as time goes on, and she was getting more comfortable, it eased up a bit. Then when the owner walked her, her tail was relaxed a lot more. Also notice that the dog continued to keep her owner in her line of vision. So the owner makes her feel some sort of safety.
Dogs have incredible body language. The #1 most important thing you can do for your dog is to NEVER make your dog fearful of you. Teach you dog with respect, and they will learn to respect you and be excited about commands, Teach your dog to fear you and while your dog may listen, you run the risk of your dog becoming fear aggressive, like this lil momma. The second most important thing is learning your dog's body language. Then you can stop something before it ever starts.

I finally found a Vet Tech at my veterinarian’s office who agreed to do it. She stopped by today with her 9 month old dog, Striker, and I IMMEDIATELY knew her training techniques!! She motioned the dog to turn and sit by her and then when he wanted to advance on my pets, she told him “ let it go”. Imagine my excitement to see your training right before my eyes. Yes, he’s still a pup in training but doing a great job. I enjoy watching you train these intelligent animals who love us and depend on us!!
