It takes about 30 years for a sport to gain stability. MLB 1871-1901, NFL 1920-1950, pro basketball 1920-1950, ice hockey (NHL) 1917-1947, soccer 1967-1997 and now spring football 1983-2024 (41 years). Spring football is being broadcast by NBC and FOX. That's a ton of money just as in 1965 when NBC started broadcasting the old AFL's game.
No, this is basically minor league football (and there is NOTHING wrong with that)... At best it's what AAA baseball is to MLB... I like it, and it fills a niche, but it can only get so big because it will never have to top notch stars coming out of college like the USFL had back in the 1980's...
The Rock is going to 10x his investment in a relatively short time. His ex wife’s advice to buy the XFL is gonna pay big dividends. UFL isn’t trying to compete with the NFL. They are positioning themselves as a “G league” to the NFL.
@ShaneDouglas713 The "original" Arena Football League is currently trying (unsuccessfully) to make a comeback. Six teams have already folded. The league commissioner has gone AWOL. The remaining 10 teams are all located in small markets (Kansas has 3 teams for Godsake). Players and staff aren't getting paid; it's a total dumpster fire. Urinatingtree made a video about it if you want to learn more.
seriously, the refing is so good. there are countless penalties but they let them play on because it's apart of the game, and because the talent just isn't nfl level so their would be fouls every play lol but still, it's fun not having constant penalties over bs things or favoring the offense on everything. and the fact you get to hear them explain how they came to a decision helps the pacing feels quicker too.
@@hello1269 i didn't realize he was on the Panthers, thats awesome! I love it when any spartan is able to play professionally. Especially if its for a Michigan based team.
memphis has a good defense, I love watching these big D-linemen chase down some of the best passers in the UFL. Both teams are playing really well this season but unfortunately someone's gotta lose. Case Cookus was a big name in the game last year and coming into this year but between the pressure from the pass-rushing and the bad throws on 2nd and third down I think he's gonna need to do some serious soul searching cause Josh Love (no relation) is coming for him.
Dude Memphis has won 1 single game. Nothing tough about them. The Dline is ok, but couldn't stop short yardage when it mattered. Michigan is a decent team but you can go blue in the face trying to convince me Memphis is playing well this season. They are simply an opponent, gotta keep the schedule moving.
He was a bottom of the roster guy for the Dolphins during training camp, but got cut due to injury I believe. In the NFL, he'd be a practice squad caliber of player.
What they need to do is partner with the nfl and actually become the "G-league". So all 32 nfl teams have its own developmental team. Gain much needed fan familiarity with same name/uniforms, same stadiums, 8-10 game spring/summer league that you can use to develop players and coaching staff in actual game play. Could institute something like a fan voted uniform for them to wear and the nfl counterpart would wear it one game similar to color rush. Would also be awesome to have summer tailgating and a 4th of July championship game where the winning team gets an extra 1st in the nfl draft.
I like the standalone approach they’re doing right now, maybe down the line in like 3-5 years they can consider that but I’d rather they build their own product and add more teams before that
I want to say ufl is a joke....but the joke is the nfl.......this league needs to go to fall as the usfl and compete with nfl....go big or go home.....minor league football is called college football....but dont get me started on the corrupt college sports business...
I pray this leagues grows into something truly amazing
The Panthers seem to have an endless supply of decent QBs.
Yes, but the need one excellent one to get past Birmingham.

This league is fun to watch.
At first, was just nice to have the sounds of pro football on in the loooong spring. Huge bonus that it's been so competitive & entertaining.
I hope spring football is here for the long haul. Love seeing these dudes get to compete and see some go on to the league and have success
Thank god football all year round is refreshing
Just so you know, Canadian Football starts its season in the week of June, so you really can have football all year long.

Prayers up for Hills... We need you big guy!!!
Most surprising thing about this game is that Jake Bates didn't score a single point for the Panthers.
Dw he’ll single handedly destroy Houston next week #jakebatesformvp
Someday. UFL v CFL matchups. 🤞🏼
I'd love to see the succeed. The guys play hard and best of all, no politics!

Whew! Them Panthers are tough
beating a one win team by 6 is not tough
6-2 is decent
Its cuz they got future mvp jake bates #jakebatesformvp
I wonder how many ufl players will make their way to the NFL this year. Scouts are definitely watching
I was at this game with my friends and Dad, what a blast! Go Panthers 🐆
Like watching this more than the nfl

Colburn gotta get on a nfl roster man just keeps going like gets hit and gains them extra 3 yards like it will always be helpful
Perkins has one hell of an arm.
McVay didn't think so.🤪🤪🤪🤪
It's pretty clear Bryce Perkins is the guy for Michigan. That's a physical football team. Hate to see that for Wes Hills. Good game!
As an MSU Spartan fan, I happy for Brian Lewerke that he is playing well for another Michigan based team.
