Hey Bull, perfect tutorial. I had absolutely NO trouble setting up the plugin and configuring it :) The only thing that took some time was creating the default loot table, but thats just deciding how much loot players get so it was super duper easy :) But without your tutorial, it would of been considerably more difficult... I really appreciate the amount of work Nivex put into his plugins. Its either everything or nothing with him. So many lines of codes but all worth it.

I have used this plugin since day 1 and have since purchased it .. Love the plugin.. A bargain at the price point.. and no way you can cover it 20mins .. Pro Tip: when creating base names use names with no spaces... but great job as usual

I am sure that somewhere this issue has been addressed. On my custom map server my bases are spawning in rocks and lighthouse. I have looked all over and have found no answers. I truly enjoy the info and the simple no fuss explanations of how to make my server head and shoulders above the rest, with your help. Thank you. I am at a loss as to how to fix this issue. The bases spawn but in rocks. A note trying out the free version first will most likely move up to premium at some point.

From what I understood on the free version, you can't get most of the Futures to work. It's an intentional setup so that if you want those features you have to buy the premium. Literally the loot tables all the way through the NPCs are not going to be adjustable in the way you want them to be unless you buy it. But of course I haven't watched the video yet that's just from my previous experience with it.
No no. You just don’t have different difficulty levels of bases/loot tables. You can still fully customize the loot table for this version.

I am having a hard time to do the difficulty and all it says in chat is a normal raidable base has spawned

I’m so confused I think I’ve done everything right but when I go on the rust server they just don’t spawn anywhere I can spawn the bases with copy paste and that but they don’t spawn on there own I’m going to delete the plug-in and all the other stuff then follow the video for another time unless someone has a answer to the problem
Looks so much easier if you just build your own bases. And I got a 2 questions for you what’s your servers called ? And what’s the hardest plugin you’ve had to install?
Building bases is easier but the creativity that you find in the workshop makes it a bit intriguing. Both methods are fine.
I own and operate Ominous Vanilla and Ominous 2x.
For the most difficult plugin, I would say RaidableBases before the plugin was split into two options. When it was one giant plugin, it was a challenge for sure. Even now though, the premium edition isn’t as difficult as it used to be.

You have the banned permission and you shouldn’t.

My friend and I bought this plugin, and well... when you try /buyraid the menu does not come but Unknown Command. Also in the console it says: "Free version initialized" What can I do now?
And one more thing:
I have seen that the config from the folder of the Premium Plugin, the RadableBases.json is simply replaced by another one at server startup.
Have you contacted Nivex on the site that you purchased the plugin from? Codefling or LoneDesign?

Does loot amount multiplier actually multiply the loot giving in boxes? cause it doesn't seem to work for me.
Been running this on my server for a long time well over a year. As soon as it went to premium I got it. On a PVE server it is the BOMB. Now want some real fun? Do a hard raidable base, noclip in a take TC then call in NPC Raiders...

Change your center point on your bases. Or add height when the plugin pastes them in place

Quick question srtbull, i run a pve server and rb is awesome as you mentioned. but i noticed the Dome its bit too small for " felling luck to counter " people. I am looking into have a bigger dome area for larger pvp enable, is that possible to config using this or should i install an additional plugin to config that ? thanks a lot for your videos, they are very helpful
I think you can increase the size of some in the config. The question is do you use the RB config or the ZoneDome config.
@@srtbull thanks for reply, i cant find anywhere a radius config for the pvp dome size in the rb plugin ( only found the wall radius around the bases radius and level the darkness of the dome sphere in the profile folder / config file ) . i watched your video tutorial on zonemanager and looks like it could be a way around. I will test if they talk to each other bcs it looks very static in the zone config side. Would be perfect if automated with rb events spawn. thanks again and great work with your videos, you truly helped me a mil times in my journey

AND WHEN A PLAYER SPAWNS ON BEACH IN A PVP ZONE IT SAYS THE PLAYER HAS TO FINISH THAT FIRST PVP ZONE RAID BEFORE THEY CAN DO THE PVP RAID THEY WANT NOT JUST THE 1 THEY SPAWNED IN
So, what option controls how much loot shows up in the crates? I have three bases that I have set up in raiablebaaes and two of them get almost no loot when they spawn but the third one always has lots of loot.
It randomly selects loot from the loot table that you provide.
One base having lots of loot doesn’t mean the next one will have little loot. It’s completely random.
Hello Rob, great Vids you have produced, I've watched too many to count, I just have a question or 2. i watched all our vids on Radiable Base, and decided to try my hand at making some of my own and have modified some the the ones from the 3 tiers that I purchased. when I use the copy command it does put my new and modified bases in the copy/paste folder with all the other bases, but it doesn't seem to spawn the new or modified bases into the server, I even emptied out the folder of all bases but the new ones and modified ones, and it still will not spawn any of them in. Am I missing something?
Like this plugin, but was wondering, I went to lone design site seen 40.00 does that include everything tier1 2 3 or are those separate?
The main plugin is $40 then all the addon tiers are extra.

It has gone through some changes since that video was produced. When I did that video, that was the free version. It needs to be addressed again. It’s on the list.

That would be my suggestion too. It’s still applicable.
If you buy the plug-in, all I have to do is install it and is ready to go? No need to make bases or download them from steam? What’s the difference between tier 1, 2 and 3?
No I wouldn’t say you don’t have to do anything. You’ll have to tailor it to fit your server and your economy. The different tiers available reduce the amount of work you need to do to get it up and running on your server. The tiers come with bases etc. but even at that, you’d still want to work with the loot tables to make sure you don’t break your economy.
In my opinion, it’s best to purchase the main plugin with tier 3 addon. It’ll save you the most time.

Hey there, I have been watching a lot of your videos and they all have helped amazingly, but I can't get the bases or NPCs to actually show up anywhere on the map. I've gone back through and done the entire set up 3 times, following this video and the premium full video in case it went in more depth in some areas. Maybe I'm missing a permission or enable command or something? I am using the Maintain Max Events setup. Any help would be awesome!

Yes those packages do come with prebuilt bases. There are different tiers to chose from. You don’t have to buy them all
So, does the plugin only use the bases you've built or does it do it one thing after a while?

I get the issue that i cant save changes i made to the cfg file. It tells me (notepad++) that i cant save the file since its beeing opened by another program. Any ideas ?
Also i have the problem that when i copy a base with copypaste and name it for example easy001, the filename in the copypaste folder is a radomly generated gibberish like _23287~

I have the paid version of this plugin, and it breaks constantly. Exploding loot boxes, NPC's stuck in the honeycombs, etc. Also causes serious lag when bases are spawned in and out. Just my experience...

Is the full version of Readable Bases purchased once or with each update?
It’s the pve rule that is killing you. Not RaidableBases. You have make sure you’ve set the rules to convert the base to pvp.
The premium version is a one time purchase. Updates are free.

Is your base floating too? Even if just a little bit?
@@srtbull Yes it is, Most of my bases spawn in the ocean so they spawn just on water level not touching the ground
So the walls are just matching the base. So make sure you adjust the height level for those bases that are spawning wrong. Or change the center point of the copypaste file.
@@srtbull im trying to send an image link over but am having an issue as it seems it wont allow me to send the link via comments, however i have put up a thread on the umod website in the raidable bases help thread which has an image of whats happening. But if i was to describe it better the base is touching the water and is level with it while the highwall is floating like 3 stories above water level. when i change the extra stacks of walls it will only give me the one ring of walls but make it spawn higher

How can it be easier to go inside rust, make a base, copy it instead of making a data folder? That logic was weird.
Lol that’s fair but in theory you’re already in the server and getting ready to do that anyway. It avoids the possibility of spelling it wrong or using the wrong syntax when creating the folder.
But yes, you are correct. It was a weird way to say it.

@@srtbull plugins are fun and easy to install, my bad. I wanted to mean adding bases to the raidable bases plugin. There are so many plugins that are great but are not worth it given I they are expensive ($20 to $40) and I mostly play on my own self-hosted dedicated server.

Charging for Mods is against what I believe in since day one of modding (earliest mods I have used back in the day started in 1986) because it's against the very nature of what modding is as far as the community is concerned. I'm not against asking for a donation. I mean think about it guys, 50 dollars for a freaking plugin. Imagine the number of games you can buy with that money.
It's pretty sick to think that the money you spend of this sort of garbage you can gift a copy of RUST to people instead of putting money into the pockets of these crooks. Sad to see a youtube content creator become a shill for the very thing which hurts the gaming community instead of helping it.

Nivex did and continues to do an outstanding job with a lot of plugins, and Raidable Bases is easy enough to configure if you take your time and read. But honestly, if you have the money to buy it, just buy the Premium version. Not because the free version has anything wrong with it, just because it means throwing $$$ at one of the hardest working plugin devs out there. And if you're lazy, the top tier premium version has 50 preset bases that give players enough of a variety that they don't get bored as easy with the raids.
Now this comment describes my feelings about this perfectly. I 100% agree with everything in this comment.

Have you looked in the #base-J’son’s channel in my discord? There are a ton of bases in there.
As for getting a package, someone would just need to package a bunch together. You’ll certainly find them on pages such as codefling or lone.design.
anyone know why i get no jason in my files when i 0.reload raidablebases, all i get is not flie could be found.
If you do o.reload RaidableBases and you get a response that the file isn’t found, it’s telling you that RaidableBases isn’t where it should be or isn’t installed at all.
Also you wrote 0.reload, as a zero not an “o”. Am I seeing that correctly?

Was amazed setting up the premium last night, 22k lines of code.
It’s a massive plugin. He’s been working on it for years. It’s quite incredible actually.
The raidable bases hover above the ground for me.
This requires you changing the center point of the base that it’s pasting. It’s fixable.
Great video to help server owners how setup Raidable Bases! As I say for this plugin - It's like every other just more time consuming, nothing hard but editing every single line or adding custom loot and items is not faster like you go through config of other plugins for a couple of minutes.
It’s certainly not hard. It just takes time.
this does not make up for all the screwy information in the older premium version video.

Do you mind doing a update to this plugin for the paid version. There are a lot of differences with the paid version now. I would like to set it up so that it chooses different bases for easy medium hard etc. only spawns 2 of them at random and does a event every 2 hours or so that lasts 30-45 minutes or whatever time I think is best instead of constantly having a raid-able base on the server. I would like to know more about some of the details and other options in the paid mod. Instead of manually typing in the kits and weapons that npc's use can I just use a loadout from the kits mod or something like that for example. thanks. I added a base in the mediumbase.json file and have the file in the copypaste folder but there is on raidable base's spawning I don't know what is wrong with it.
I do have one quick question. Is there a setting in which you can turn off the domes? I would like to have the npc's react as normal players approaching their base. Anyway, thanks for all of the help I really appreciate it very much, and for making the video.
That’s actually a really great question. I want to say yes there is a way to turn off the domes but I’ve never seen anyone turn them off. You would just have to manually go through and look in the configs for that option.

Okay I think I came across it in the file located (for the benefit of the who wish to have them spawn in without the clutter, and blue domes) oxide\data\RaidableBases\Profiles\RaidBases.json. Look to line 303. Here is what it says "Spawn Silently (No Notifcation, No Dome, No Map Marker)": false, Of course you would have to change false to true for this to work.
I'm testing it now but this does seem to be the option to make the map appear like you are playing on a server without the map being cluttered with icons along with not seeing the blue domes. The NPC's are tethered to the base which is fine. The only thing which would be required is to change the radius value from 25.0 to something larger which would allow the players to at least attack at a decent enough range.
Also, I'm in the process of uploading a brief video of me testing it out, and it seems to be working which is always a good thing. Once I get the other bases created, and added I'll be releasing it so everyone who can't afford the price of the premium version.

@@srtbull Just for your information, I just finished uploading the video I spoke briefly about in my pervious post which shows a very basic base I built, and as you can see the dome has been removed. Also the map icons have been removed from the map as well.

Lol doing a direct comparison; the premium plugin with all tiers of addons, would be the least amount of work to get it up and running. Not zero work. Just way less work to get it running. I don’t want you to expect to do no work at all though. This is not what I teach. I’m teach people to know HOW to do the work required. 😀

@srtbull can you moake a video on how to set up zone manager zones with this?
RaidableBases already utilizes ZoneManager and the best part is you don’t have to mess with any of that for this plugin in particular. It’s great to know ZoneManager, but not for RaidableBases.

Weird, followed step by step, but once i reloaded the plugin, nothing spawned. I checked the json to make sure i didnt break syntax and its fine. wtf......
