The fact they asked you to do this 20 TIMES makes me think that Epic believes this is EASY! Because if it was something hard like “Hit headshots with a Sniper Rifle” they’d only ask you to do it ONCE or TWICE!
@@TheEpicGalaxy21 exactly, it does give off that vibe. additionally i’ve gotten a daily quest of “hit headshots over 35 metres” and it asked for 5. and it’s popped up a few times. like i’d rather do this guitar thing then that
Poorly thought out challenges for a poorly thought out item.
Seriously. I'm literally thinking you probably don't even need to do that challenge in order to get the end reward... But still...epic is toying with us at this point. It's like they couldn't think of a different challenge to put there so just added another 15 of the same thing..so dumb.
@@lindsayyoung2474 Alternatively, the answer could just be as simple as *"You're not expected to complete this quest so fast".* After all, you have like, 15 days left before the Metallica event ends in BR. If you play everyday and hit atleast 2 opponents/ vehicles each day. You'll be done in 10 days. Of course, if you play more or manage to hit more things in that time, it'll go even faster. The point is, these types of quests are ALWAYS going to look hard and grindy if you look at it as if you HAVE to complete it right NOW rather than letting it complete over time.
Awesome tips Tabor, remember you can also hit npcs like the bosses and henchmen when quests say "opponent" and not enemy player

That’s what I’ve been doing, just making the henchmen aggro and trying to gather them in a group then try to hit as many as possible
Hitting empty or not moving vehicles is definitely the easiest way to complete this challenge. I found this out myself 2 days ago on Thursday when the Raiding the Rig story quests came out.
I instantly started doing this as soon as I as the challenge came out 😂

Hey tabor, if you didn’t know, when the Metallica loot island is spawning in, it plays “the ecstasy of gold” by Ennio Morricone because Metallica would use that as their opening music at concerts.
They still open with it today, shit it even played in the event.

Stage 2 was, I believe, hit one opponent or vehicle. Stage 3 is hit 5, and Stage 4 is hit 15. It's such a pain.

A small tip if you and a friend are doing it and he used the guitar it leaves behide an M that let's you use it and it dose do the same thing as a guitar so you can have one of your friends help you if you dont have a guitar to use
in my opinion, if you go 175 meters away from the car and dont move your camera, you should hit the car almost perfectly

Yes, it goes out and back the same amount, no reason to back up so far from the target.
Thank you as this one was a challenging quest to complete.i couldn't believe Epic made the second stage 15 times.
Instead of only going straight up on the first pump, and then sideways back and forth… go straight up all three times and then you have more time coming back down to move and aim your trajectory towards your target.
Thanks for the video. I’m sure some players are frustrated by this. It’s really hard to aim even to hit vehicles. It’s was so challenging for me that I felt embarrassed trying.
Quick little tip: You can consistently hit your car if you use the guitar on top on your car

Dude I just got thia done with this stratergie. Why do I use your supporter code because I know your story snd it goes to a good cause. Plus videos like this thank you 15 was going to be insane. I was at 2 got most of them done in team rumble. Thank you tabor. Also the npcs have a secret quest. Collar buddies dialog on the right.
Would it not be easier to go from distance straight at them so you aren’t worrying about having to turn around ?

It's not an attacking item. The design is massively flawed. I've even died to fall damage multiple times from this stupid guitars bounce animation when it lands. You can't control it. And if you land on the battle bus with it; it breaks your controls for the rest of the game.
This whole season has been a broken code balancing fail.

I'm so confused what your actual technique was. This is the most obvious way to do this so I'm not sure what the secret technique was. You literally said at the beginning of the video "this isn't my technique"...but it was lol. You didn't show us anything different the entire video.
Grouping multiple cars together was the technique. Hitting one solo car was not.
I got it done before I got to watch your video. 😢 Definitely difficult to control where you land. 😡

0:37 I was practicing hitting cars and completing the quest. Finished the quest and kinda got the hang of it. Great way to practice. Btw, this will attract sweats, so don't stay long in one location practicing. You can do it, I did, after some practice before this. Finished all my Metallica quests till the new ones appear in a few hours. Finished all my weekly and first in match accolades.
It took me a whole day to figure it out how it works
A method I was doing is hitting the NPCs in the battlebus, yes it moves but if you hit it, it counts as both vehicle and opponents
Of course they shoot you and it adds to the difficulty but high risk high reward!
I know people say it's awesome for rotations, and it IS. But the attack, as you found out is almost useless, it's exceedingly hard to aim. And there's a pause before you start the dive. Hitting a running or moving target with it is...well just don't bother LOL. And even for rotations, it DOES cover a lot of ground quickly. And it's hard to hit you while you are flying because you essentially turn into lightnening and there's nothing to shoot.
However, there is a pause and a glitch after you land, when you try to get out of the guitar animation and back to say slot 1 for your shotty. And I'm curious as this MIGHT be due to the new "Quick Weapon" swap mode for controller (which I've switched too). It shows on your bottom right bar that you've swapped to slot 1 for your shotgun, but you are still holding the guitar in your hand. So you have to slot swap "twice" to get it back in sync and fire your shotty. This happens to me frequently. Although admittedly, I do experience it with the Fists also. I'm going to try turning Quick Weapon off and see if it still does it.
For my money, I'm going to stick with either Fists/Shockwaves + Nitro Splash. They are much more reliable and have useable attacks to boot (punching and shoulder bashing).
Aim the Metallica Crosshair about an inch to the right of your target. With this method I can hit my mark every time

We are great 🤩, I also created a fleet of cars to close for that mission... terrible more than anything else because the guitar has a life of its own and ends its race where it wants 🤣
Standing right next to it is he easiest way go up then forwards then back right to it

there was a clip i saw of Nick Eh 30 he had a circle of players stand around him as he used the ride the lightning guitar away from them , waited for the cooldown then used it to bullseye the circle of players

Tip for anyone reading my comment if you go where the boss spawns with two other npcs that shows you the last circle it will work on those npcs and you can can 3 per hit and if you keep doing it, it will work 😃

That challenge was a pain,
I got 3 cars together in a valley so they didn't spread too far if I hit them.
Its a fun movement item but practically useless for offence
it glitches sometimes and it does not allow to aim up or down, i was able to complete the challenge but it only worked ok 2 out of 4 times and it was annoying. 1 game the aiming glitched for the rest of the match even after i dropped the item and i could only aim to the sides and whenever i jumped it would aim up.
These 2 missions are infuriating. I had the same reaction once I finished the first one. I was so annoyed after seeing that I had to get off for the day. I’m trying to finish it tomorrow.
Its difficult to aim because your starting to far away from the cars when you activate the guitar
I did mine on the bus. Was a lot easier
I completed those quests by hitting parked cars
I hated this challenge but I did it the same way with multiple cars
For me the bus got stuck so I used that for about 8 hits. They should have a cursor to make it a bit easier
Hitting the bus is also easier as it is a large target.
Stand on top of the cars and it perfect.

Dude its easy to hit people. I dont teleport to them or away from them. I move in a teiangle and then aim down tjay was i keep my eyes on the enemies the whole time. It was hard the first couple times but i got the 15 in two matches this way.
Just play it in team rumble you can get it all done a lot faster and simpler that way without starting over each match
Just go to a place with a lot of cars, drive them next to each other, use the guitar, and repeat. The place I did was lavish
Put a piece of masking tape on your monitor where you retical is. 😅
Just do the thing people used to do in CoD back in the day and tape a bit of pape where the reticle could be

Do it on bot lobby go to Nitrodome their are multiple cars over there gather them in 1 spot and use the guitar on it. Getting 5 cars will get it done in 3 try if you lucky to land the perfect shot
