Love this set up! Planning with Bumble is one of my favorite content creators, too. Your journal is amazing, and I love the layout. Looking forward to getting ideas from you!
Love to our journal! I am currently setting mine up and gathered ideas and planned in a similar fashion. I will be adding a couple of yours as well. Looking forward to your new channel!! ❤
What an excellent first video… you ‘got it over with’ really well my lovely. Box ticked!! I was well and truly invested in seeing the journal come together… I look forward to seeing you channel… blossom 😍
Welcome to the book-journal-creator club! You're already doing great. I love that you mind-mapped your journal, and took note of the creators inspiring you. This is such a helpful tool when planning out your spreads, and it helps you create a flow in your journal. I think you've made an incredible first journal to both use and show others how to set-up and make their own. I think you'll find that some of these layouts you'll love, and others you'll never come back to. 😂 That's the beauty of custom journaling. I hope you have an amazing year of reading and journaling. Subscribing to see your journal updates! Thanks for being brave and sharing your art with us. 🥰
The map is a great idea that I had not thought of. I found an A5 Moleskine that I'm using as a sewing and project journal, and I couldn't figure out how to implement the map. I think I'll cut it out and create a tip-in for my Reading Journal. Thank you for sharing!!
Hello! I've really enjoyed watching your first videos. You're doing great! Your videos are really inspiring me for my 2025 Reading Journal. I also did A to Z this year and have Zero Days on my list for my Z as well! I'd love to hear how you liked it. For Q, I HIGHLY recommend (The) Queen's Gambit. It was so good. I haven't watched the show so I went into it pretty blind and it didn't disappoint. For X, I read this cute Korean KPop teen romance called XOXO. I'm not sure if that would interest you, but it was something different and I really enjoyed learning about Korean culture. I'm looking forward to your future videos! Keep it up! 😀
Yay, I'm so happy to hear that! I liked Zero Days, but it had a lot of tech talk, which I don't have the brain for. Thank you for the other book recommendations! 🪼
My 2024 journal was the first one I ever set up, it was like a pilot project. For 2025 I have chosen a B6 Corderona and bought a printer for the covers of the books and more, im getting waaaay better at this and I love it. Having it actually made me read even more, I have read 63 books this year and that has never hapenned before i love yours
I love that it's making you read more, I feel like it's doing the same thing for me too! I love to relax and read, but it's giving more purpose to my creative side too! Double win! 🪼
Do keep talking as you’re ‘doing’ your journal-your voice was just perfect. It’s only confidence you need and that will come the more you upload. Really, you did a fantastic job and if you hadn’t said you were new at this I would not have known 😊
What a lovely reading journal! Your handwriting is so nice and your spreads are well planned and pretty, especially the garden spread. Glad I found your channel, looking forward to seeing more 🥰
Welcome to the reading journal community! You've done A LOT of research and it shows 😍 I wish my first journal was like that. Hope you'll have lots of fun with all your spreads and trackers in 2025 :D
Haha, I had a video watching addiction for a while too, but it definitely helped me think through what I knew I would and wouldn't use. I feel very confident about these spreads working for me. And thanks for the welcome! 🪼
I LOVE this journal! I don’t think I’ll ever use another brand again. And thank you! I’m hoping it looks as good as I’m imagining once it’s all filled in!
I love Lisa See too 🙂 your journal is adorable, I'm a junk journaller as well & have just started making my reading journal a junk journal as there's so much more flexibility. Ps, I'm nicking the publish flower garden idea! 🙂😊
@@thejellyfishjournals I went down a TH-cam rabbit hole at the end of 2023, so I started a reading journal for the first time this year. It's great to see new yearly spreads to use for my 2025 one.
This looks amazing! I am planning for my book bracket to break it into quarters instead of by month. So 3 books per each of the 4 quarters because I have the same situation I’d say my top 8 were read in q1 in q2-q3 I did read much and was recovering from my book hangover from q1 😅
I absolutely adored this!!!!! Thank you for sharing. Welcome to reading journals. 💜 I’d love to know which Facebook reading journal groups you are in. I’m always looking for inspiration.
This is a really nice video with a lot of great ideas. I also set myself the goal to read at least 25 books in 2025 and I think I will include 2 or 3 ideas in my bullet journal. Thanks for inspiration. ❤
I feel the same - for both. The joy of sharing my creativity with others made me start my blog and TH-cam channel. And I am so curious for 2025. Something deep inside of me is telling me that it will one of the greatest years ever.
Just so you know, you’ve missed New Zealand off your read the world spread. There’s quite a few books set there, so you could miss it. I love your spreads. I screenshot a few to use as inspiration for setting up my reading journal for next year.
Came across your channel while looking for some spread ideas for my 2025 reading journal. Great job on your first video. Love your layouts. Just subbed, and look forward to seeing how your journal progresses.
This is beautiful!! Great job. Maybe for the book bracket you could only include your 4/5 star picks from the entire and narrow them down instead of having to pick for each month. Not sure if that would work for you.
Thank you! 🩵🪼 I love that idea! I’ve set this up with months now, but if I struggle with the same thing next year you’ll see your suggestion end up in my 2026 journal! 😂
A fun series that takes place in Botswana, Africa is The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. There are currently 25 books in the series, so if you like the first one, there are plenty to keep you going.
I've only read two, but I think I have them all now - Snow Flowers is one of my reading challenge books for 2025, I'm glad to hear it's so good too! I LOVED The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane and The Island of Sea Women, those two were enough to get me going. I found most of her books at thrift stores. Happy reading! 🪼
I absolutely love the genre garden idea! I can’t draw to save myself 😅 so I’ll have to find a garden colouring page and cut it down, cos I’m definitely going to add that idea! Thank you! Really enjoyed the video! ❤ (also, was the rainbow challenge idea from jashiicorrin?)
@@thejellyfishjournals i thought it might have been her! :D I love her channel - I'm Australian and I like to find Aussie or Kiwi journelers as the things they do and the stuff they buy can be more relevant to me. You're the first non-aussie/kiwi I've found that I really like LOL. I had a thought - have you considered either selling a pdf of your genre garden (the flower garden) or even offering it up as a free printable? Maybe help get more traffic to your channel? Just an idea, ignore me if you want LOL!
That’s a FABULOUS idea!! Now I need to figure out how to do it! But I have no problem sharing this as a free printable! And I’m so happy you like my channel! 🩵🪼🩵
I can't remember the exact website, but I just searched for Thriller Tropes and dug around... I just tried it again and there are some I wish I'd used, like "broken-down car." 😂🪼

Yay! Thank you so much, and have fun! 🪼
Obsessed with that flower garden tracker! I’m going to try to use that as inspo in mine, maybe as a genre tracker for me though ❤❤
That was actually my original plan, but I changed my mind. It would work as a few different trackers I think! Have fun! 🪼
What an excellent first video… you ‘got it over with’ really well my lovely. Box ticked!! I was well and truly invested in seeing the journal come together… I look forward to seeing you channel… blossom 😍

I just subscribed! One book journaler you might want to look at is Erin Smith. Gorgeous and she is a friend of Jashi Coran. Love your spreads!
Yay, thank you! Yes, she's wonderful, I mentioned her as someone to follow in my description box! 🪼

I just finished my first Lisa See book. Snowflower and the Secret Fan. LOVED IT!! 4.5 ⭐ what other Lisa See books do you recommend?

I can't remember the exact website, but I just searched for Thriller Tropes and dug around... I just tried it again and there are some I wish I'd used, like "broken-down car." 😂🪼
I loved Molokai and Remarkably Bright Creatures! Have you read Daughter of Molokai? Also good.
They are so good! I knew there was a second book, but I haven't read it yet. I'm glad to hear it's good, too! 🪼
