So in order for Cu to solo this you need to use the "Buddy Ring (GOLD)" Command Code and guard enough burns on the right turns.
Which is a RNG shit show.

Wow even Honako green was having trouble with this. I had so much trouble too, but swapped to Cu instead of Melusine. I did enough dmg but the RNG between having enough NP to guard against his atks and cleansing the burns was a nightmare.

Would proto Cu be able to solo this? He has 60% debuff resist which would help him a lot against the burns.

I mean, if you have lvl110 Proto Cu and stack crits every turn. I believe you could but with help of a command spell or two. Cuz his evade is most likely to not cover all the damage in long run

Asvat when hitting or taking attacks gives a burn for both the servant and himself, as these stacks grows they will activate those buffs, at third bar break he will go into "cooldown" clean all burns on everyone, but he gains guts stacks correspoing to the amount of burns there is. Also he puts burn up on breaks and stuff which means he is slow cooking your team the entire time.
