I was wondering how you were able to trigger the start of the recording (when pad goes from dark red to bright red) exactly when you start playing, and to close the loop (pads from red to green) right when you press the pad again to stop recording ? Are you doing that at the perfect timing, or is there some settings in ableton that allows you to do that ? I mean like setting the loop start when you start playing your first track, and setting the loop end when you press the pad again to stop recording ? Thanks in advance.

@@nostarion As far as I know after a few attempts: inside Ableton Live preferences, you need to change the "Default Launch Mode" to "Toggle" instead of "Trigger". This way, while recording on an empty clip slot, first hit = Arm, second hit = Rec, third hit = Play .
@@thomasherding I can't give more feedback on the subject as I've been using my older MiniLab Mk2 since then, because of various issues I've had with the Mk3 (the main one being that the drum pads are listened to by Live on Channel 15 (in User Mode) or Channel 16 (in DAW mode), whereas it should be Channel 10....
@munomamusic : do you use the default DAW mode which you've Midi-mapped inside Ableton Live for modifying the "Tap" pad function to Session Record? The rest is the default script?
hey, how to setup Artruria and Ableton to start recordcording right after start playing some melody on a piano keys? My DAW starts recording clips just after push record button(not piano key) :(

Yeah, would like to know that too. Cant figure out how to arm the record button with a second press.
