I have always stayed on Disney property, but this video really makes me want to stay at a Universal resort. Rooms were so nice especially for the price! 😁
I stayed at Cabana Bay. Not only is the price very easy on your wallet but the theming easily is on par with Disney resorts. You truly feel like you're in the movie "Back to the future" (which, no surprise, is a Universal-produced movie). They also show old TV commercials on the big screens in the cafeteria.
@@largol33t1 last time I went I stayed at Disney all star Movies but next time (now 2022 as we had to change due to covid) we’re booked for this resort in the Surfside area and it looks so much cleaner and more fun (we booked surfside over dockside as I love fun styled resorts) and also it’s cheaper than Disney’s cheapest and so much better looking!
We are checking in at Dockside next week for a week-long stay! So excited! Much needed vacation. (Update)- Nevermind. It was announced today that the parks will be closed. Change of plans. Don't know when vacation will happen.

I’ve never stayed on Universal property or in any hotel that had Universal Studios name attached to it, but I totally wanna stay here. Rooms look so cute and the right amount of space, the food at the Market sounds so freaking good, and the pool looks beautiful. Ding dang, I wanna stay here 😍
Fantastic tour as always Tim, very informative. We really like the fact that the rooms can accommodate family meals, that is super useful to know as a Universal resort is certainly something we are going to look at in a few years when the kids are slightly older. The pool area looks really well equipped also. Thanks for sharing and have yourselves a great week.
The dockworker wrap sandwich has been here in Pittsburgh forever. It’s a Primanti’s restaurant sandwich. Bread, coleslaw, fries, and meat all in one. It was made when the truck drivers needed the extra hand. Not the dock workers!
I stayed eight nights at Universal Endless Summer Dock Side and it was the best stay. The service was top tier, I would recommend Dock Side to friends.

We walked from the Rosen Inn international every day to Surfside and caught the bus to universal for free, they run every 15 minutes and it gave us so much more freedom than Rosen's shuttle service... one if the bus drivers told us to do this and he saved helped us enjoy our time much more! X
We stayed at the Avanti Palms just down the road in December. We actually found that you can walk to universal from there and it takes about 15 mins! Better than waiting for the bus to turn up!
Been waiting for this video from you since myself and my boyfriend booked this back in September, after our first ever trip to the Orlando/USA! we stayed at surfside. We loved it so much we booked again but for dockside this year. This has made me even more excited. Love your videos so much!
Universal has such nice hotels. The aesthetic is spot on: clean modern thought out. Disney s value hotel is nothing but IP everywhere by comparison (AOA) just garish. Thanks for the video Trackers!

I like the light blue bedspreads - and the fact that there actually ARE bedspreads! I don't care for the plain open shelves in the kitchenette area though. The overall theming of the resort is very fresh and nice.

Looks great. For me the only problem I see is not enough storage. The space at the end of the bed doesn’t look high enough to push a suitcase under. We’re a family of 6 (3 teenage girls 1 tween) so a bit more storage for bags and goods would be nice

The dockworker sandwich! 40 years ago I ordered a burger at a walk up window and it came with fries and cole slaw on the burger. It was surprisingly tasty. Now i know the story of why they are served that way.
Primanti Brothers in PIttsburgh invented it in the 1930s and there are a couple of franchises in Florida. They aren't fooling anyone where they stole the idea from.
Botn Surfside and Dockside are so similar but Surfside makes me feel cheerful while Dockside makes me feel peaceful. I think I will stay Dockside for my next USA trip since I prefer the theme of Dockside

Two weeks ago we stayed at Surfside. We really enjoyed the newness of it. The three bed suit was perfect for us. The shuttles too and fro are brilliant, very regular. Just a couple of gripes.... the bedding didn't really seem clean. I should have complained at the time. We were there for two weeks and our bedding wasn't changed once. We did get lots of clean towels everyday which was good. Coming from the UK we love our tea, brought our own tea bags too 😊, but there was no kettle. Also, we were on the ground floor and unfortunately near the pool side music speaker which was pounding music out until 10.00pm. Such a shame they didn't consider people just wanting to relax in their rooms peacefully after a busy day out. Otherwise, we loved it 😄

Umm... the wrap the guide/executive is describing with the fries and slaw is actually a take on Pittsburgh sandwich made famous by Primanti Brothers. And it was truck drivers not dock workers. Didn’t go through all the comments to see if anyone said that yet but wanted to make sure it was out there! 😀 Anywhoo, love the great content as always!

Great video. Wish the outside Universal Studios Hotels would offer discounts off Fast Pass. When I stay on the Premise the room key is your pass but if you add it up more people in a room there the room comes out to be free. If you know anything about discounts for Fast Pass please share for Florida Residents. Thanks 😊
You know, it's always fun to see all these new resorts and stuff, but at this point, they have how many beach themed resorts? Like I get that it's Florida, but come on Universal--you have Harry Potter land! Make a Hogwarts themed resort! I mean people would be all over that. You could have a wing for each house, with rooms themed like the Hogwarts dorms; you could have common room sitting areas; the food area could be the Great Hall, and the pool could be the Black Lake... You could have a giant squid with waterslides down its arms!! . Anyways, Tim, if you have an in at Universal you should tell them this and also get them to hire me to be on the team that designs it, lol ;)
I love that they named the drinks after the slides at Wet N Wild, glad they always do tributes to the past.
Even for a value resort, Universal really did a very impressive styling. Definitely does not look cheap. I like all of their resorts.

My favorite place to stay is still port Orleans riverside. My husband and I stay there every year and we just love it.

It does not seem to affect kids. Baby Tracker is fine.
