    Hey, I’m just curious why you didn’t just change the keys in the front to lower it in the front? Isn’t it a 2-3/4 drop? I might be missing something. I’m just looking into this for the first time. Thanks.

      It's been a while since I worked on that tahoe. If I remember correctly I didn't swap the keys because of the wheel and tire set up. It would be too low for the front and rub.

      @@artysmotorsports oh OK I see. I have the same Tahoe and I’m trying to decide what to do, but I’ve never done it before so I think I’m just gonna buy the kit with the different keys and hope that works lol!

      @NewYorkCity646 it all depends on what rim and tire set up you want to run. Atleast for me that was the deciding factor

      @@artysmotorsports Yeah I think before I buy I’ll tell whoever I’m buying it from my set up which is a 22X9 wheel with a 305/45 tire. I think the 2/4 drop would work from everything I’ve seen.

      @NewYorkCity646 yeah I'd say so. Any lower and I'd go with an airbag set up

    I have a question brother, there is no problem if I only use torque wrenches and put new upper A weapons without changing the splinters, is there any negative consequence?

    Nice job! I purchased the same wheels for my 03 tahoe rwd and was wondering which tire setup ,would be good, are you running 275-55R20? I was leaning towards 265-50R20 havent purchased tires yet, mine in lowered 3inches in the rear with mchaughy springs and a eibach adapter and Im running QA1 rear adjustable dampening , fronts I got Beltech lowered keys and kyb for now?but might go Atomic Fabrication coilovers, not sure yet, how is the stopping distance and take off ? Nice ride💪👍

      Sounds like you've got a bad ass set up man. I'd say that's plenty of tire for it same set up that i had. Mine was rubbing in the front fender well plastic just a touch when I turned all the way. Great stopping and accelerating almost no body roll but it was a little stiff. Definitely a lowered ride

    Do you need 2" drop spindle? Could you just decrank the keys or get new keys 2in drop

    • @artysmotorsports
      @artysmotorsports  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I assume you can do it that way too. I knew I was going to use that wheel and tire set up and that's how low I wanted it. It was still comfortable to drive

    I just did mines same way you did yours lower ball joints ,spindles but I didn’t change the upper control arms and for some reason I’m getting a pretty bad cambered in the front now wen I drive after I pass 50 miles it’s starts shaking do you think the alignment will fixed my issues

    • @artysmotorsports
      @artysmotorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd day check your ball joints and tie rods and replace them If they dont look good before you get your alignment so you only do it once. Another thing would be get your tires balanced.

      No bouncing on mine. It sounds like you're bottoming out. Hard to give advice without looking at it you know.

      You need extenders so your shocks have more play and can hold the bumps

      Yeah I need to get better.... the kit is supposed to be a 2/4 but someone had messed with my tahoe and lifted the rear so it ended up being like a 5/2
