You made my day! I’ll soon be 83 and I eat what I want when I want, day or night! All with my doctor’s approval! I have finally started living my life as I want and not as everyone else thinks I should. I feel free as a bird and I’m happy as a lark! I drive, I grocery shop, I clean my own home, I go to church on Sundays and I even go out to eat now and then, alone, but someone always talks to this old grey haired granny! So life is better now than it’s ever been. Enjoy it while you still can!❤
I love your attitude, I think when we get to a certain age, there's no point worrying about the future. We start to enjoy life and not care. Well done, you.😊
I’m sitting on my couch watching you for the first time as I scroll through TH-cam channels, at 76 I can identify with you, with age comes wisdom. I look forward to watching more of your videos, oh! By the way it’s 6:30 am and I’m eating some pumpkin pie with my morning coffee, gotta have something sweet to start my day. ❤️
😂Oh Robin, you are such a hoot! Thanks for the laugh.😊 As for that Joanne, well, she can eat, and buy however she pleases, and we will eat, and buy however we please! Lol. 😁 Hope you have a blessed weekend Robin. We all love you just the way you are dear Robin. Don't ever change. 😊❤❤
Keep being a positive force. We need more women like you being real, honest and caring with a sense of humor ! I've heard the sugar rant too. I love Earl Grey also with a spot of sugar ! 😊
You are absolutely hilarious. As a senior also watching her money, I almost fell off my chair listening to this. A few carbs here and there and a few spoons full of sugar isn't gonna harm anyone. At my age, 68, i *Earned* my right to do as i wish and "don't" care what other people think. You handled it beautifully. May she even make it to our age with all that pent-up anger and frustration. YIKES!!!
Robin, I think you could see me as you called out my Dr Pepper I was drinking while watching you! As for Joanne… I think she needs a sugar fix. 😝 Your “proper lady” accent was spot-on… hilarious!!
I so enjoy your videos. I am close in age to you and just when I thought I knew it all, you teach me something new. (Like saving your mayonnaise lids, as they fit your canning jars) Just need to add, my soon to be 95 year old mother, who still lives alone, on her own and pays her own bills, etc. lives on SUGAR filled foods. That is what she likes and that’s what she gets. On the other hand, I have skinny relatives that exercise daily and have cancer. Do what’s best for you, and most of all be HAPPY ❤️
Hi Robyn, absolutely loved this. You're a wise lady with a fab sense of humour. Life is too short to be uptight....have the sugar, eat the cake, drink the cokie cola 😉 we have to have some pleasure in life. Wonderful English accent by the way. 'Bottoms up darling!' As we say here. ❤
We spoke to our grown children who have young families earlier this year about not exchanging gifts anymore. We’re Just getting together for games and great fun and good food. ❤
😂😂😂 I love how you handled that. ❤ we can eat and drink all the healthiest things and do all the right things and we are still going to die. No matter what our air water and land is polluted so does organic really matter. Eat and drink and be Merry. I'm not religious but God did say do not worry about what you will eat.
Robin! I love you lady and I agree 💯 wholeheartedly with you on the Christmas no gift when you can't afford it thing. Christmas is special just because it's Christmas!! And Joanne may be in the wrong group. You have taught me very much about simple foods and loving a simple life. You are helping SO many people! And we love you, we really do. And btw, I Love your crocheted hat and scarf. I crochet a little and I think I could pull off a scarf and hat! I would have never thought to leave a hole to slide the opposite side through! I love that! And two of my favorite colors are green and brown!
Oh gosh, that comment you shared had me rolling with laughter! The food shaming, the arrogance...ohhhhh my gosh, I think Joanne needs a spoonful of sugar!! Have a blessed day and thank you for another cozy video.
Oh my golly!! I'm truly laughing out loud as you are talking about the first comment🤣😂 Perhaps it was her first time watching your channel and doesn't know the scope of your channel. Trying to give her some grace😉 I LOVE the hat and scarf!! I never caught on with how to crochet...my stuff always ended up getting wider as it got longer...I think my grandma said I was adding stitches or something along the line. And to the other subscriber who was being accused of killing Christmas....WOW!! Just to be able to visit with family and exchange love and laughter are gifts enough. I pray that dear soul finds some joy for the season. Have a great weekend friend!
Yes! Robin, you are perfect just the way you are. But I must say “thank you” to Joanne for what she said. It made you respond. And that made me laugh so hard. Love the hat and scarf!
Love your response to uptight Joanne. She needs to lighten up. You are so funny, I look forward to our Friday confab. Don’t ever change! Have a great weekend. Kathy 😊
To the dear woman who has put herself in debt to give gifts...it is not you who are destroying Christmas. It is those who forget they have already received the greatest gift of all, the Lord Jesus Christ. and family and friends who love us as we are the next best. Store bought stuff is just that! Susan
Thank you for addressing my comment; yes, the Lord Jesus Christ is also my saving grace. I am so blessed and have his comfort (especially in difficult times). Merry Christmas. 💕
My kids were relieved to not exchange gifts any more. We still spend special times together. Relaxed times. When we exchange gifts we tend to forget the reason for the season.
Hello Robin, love your channel! It always amazes me when people get on their high horse and make, dare I say, such “interesting “ comments! 😂🤣😂🤣. You and I don’t follow the same dietary plan, but I have learned a great deal in the last few months on getting my pantry stocked up AND living within my budget. I am 72 and recently widowed! To Joanna I say La de daaaaaa…La de daaaaaa…da! Lighten up girl! And to you Robin…you go girl 💖
Robin.... O love tour videos and an always encouraged by them and the joy coming through in your giggle and fun personality. Im 75 and in a very low income but blessed to have my youngest son on the same property on a 43 acre mini ranch. I live in a @tiny house" on the ranch and enjoy being in the country and around the chickens and the cattle as well as the 3 dogs and the barn cat. As for "Joanne"....theres bo reason she or anyone else should be so critical of what anyone else is buying at the store. You always have good balanced meals and little treats too. How sad that she feels the need to judge Carry on❤
Oh my. I just found your channel and I must say this video just cracked me up and I couldn’t love it more. You are hilarious. Thank you for brightening my day.😊❤
Joanne needs some updated info. My oncologist was quite annoyed when I shared that theory and wanted to know where I got my information. Cancer cells do NOT thrive on sugar cells. Cancer has many causes including heredity but is not caused by food. We can eat whatever we like in moderation. As for gifting I wish I could give my strength to the lady who is browbeaten by her family. I give what I can when I can what I have extra. I might crochet scarves or headbands. I might bake banana bread or a cranberry loaf. I might crochet an angel or other tree ornament. I press leaves and flowers which become gift tags. Okay now I'm talking too much 😂 Bottom line is we share OUR joy, kindness and grace. Thank you for reminding us.
Judgemental Joanne should do Joanne. If she's unhappy with what she saw....she had the option of clicking off the video. 🤷♀️ Ms. Robin keep inspiring us all! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Joanne needs to talk to my organic chemistry professor son who has a PhD he would be shaking his head for sure! He has a lot to say about all these unproven theories, Love your response to Ms Snoot! I am also jealous of your scarf, had one of those many years ago and it was so warm! If your Christmas is about gifts shame on you! Must be related to Joanne! Adore you and your oh so sensible life and advice.
Yes! Robin, you are perfect just the way you are. But I must say “thank you” to Joanne for what she said. It made you respond. And that made me laugh so hard. Love the hat and scarf! ❤😂❤😂
I love an old fashioned Christmas. Family and friends gathering, simple foods, sitting around and talking and laughing. Maybe some simple, useful gifts. No stress. I used to love Christmas. Now it just stresses me out.
I am in total agreement with making Christmas gifts optional and not a requirement for a glorious season. Why have we ever thought gifts must be necessary to show love and affection? Sharing a meal, going on an adventure, playing a game, talking a walk together, sipping a glass of wine together, working on a craft together etc. These cost next to nothing if anything. Lets go in that direction!
Robin, you are a hoot! The way you addressed Joanne’s comments made me laugh out loud 😂. Thank you for the laugh. I enjoy your channel and look forward to Fridays confab.
Good evening lovely Robin 🎄 Your hat and your walls almost match and I am loving the color of both! I love your hat! Earl Grey is one of my favorite teas. However, I just tried constant comment for the first time and I think it could be a tie. Robin you are quite lovely in your sarcasm! I am really enjoying listening to you! I just poured myself a cup of tea too! You are so incredibly right Robin! People really need to start showing more grace for others! keep warm and stay blessed!
Omg 😂❤I just found your channel and I’m really enjoying it so very much!!!!! I’m 71 years old and still going strong 💪!!! My family have stopped giving each other gifts for Christmas. Instead my husband and I get together with our daughter for a meal and we have the best time just being together. It’s been a real blessing to us. ❤
Ms. Robin, I love your attitude! You are an adult, you can eat, drink and do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone! By the way, I used to run around buying gifts for the husband's 10 nieces and nephews for years. I stopped doing it because I want to enjoy Christmas too. Not running around buying gifts. Now, i bake cookies from scratch, decorate the house and listen to the Christmas music. Life is grand!
Hi Robin! I’m one of the unfortunates who can’t eat sugar because of chronic inflammation. Just because I can’t eat something doesn’t mean I should rain all over your parade. Enjoy your tea!😊 The monetary value of gifts should be beside the point. A homemade gift would be very special to me.
Have you tried Stevia? It is plant based and you can use it in baking recipes. My husband has diabetes and I use it in baking so he can still have goodies. 😊
So sad for the woman feeling she has to buy gifts or will ruin the holiday. I would buy everyone a $5 gift card to McDonalds or a lottery ticket. I was always told that if you only have $20 and ten people to buy for, then everyone gets a $2 gift. I hope she doesn't put everything on credit and make the year more difficult for herself. Shame on her family.
Hello Robin, 👋 you are such a sweet person. Yes! Let's have that spoonful of sugar! Oh I absolutely 💕 love your hat! And I love your scarf. 😊❤ You take care, stay warm and healthy. Love ya❤
I remember the gifts I got as a child 63 years ago because there was not a lot. Now, everyone has more than they need. I told my family no gifts this year. We will have a simple meal, talk, maybe play a game. I remember years and years of buying multiple gifts for everyone. I am 69 and decided this was not celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. I think most of my adult kids and grandchildren were fine with this. Then a friend of mine is taking 10 members of their family on a cruise, and buying them all an apple iPhone. 😂
I love your sense of humor and good spirited nature. It is refreshing to hear your take on gifts. I am in my 70's and we no longer give gifts to most family. Your hat and scarf are nice. I only knit, wish I could crochet. Many of the commenters better expressed my reaction to Joanne's comments. The Mary Poppins remarks were funny. I laughed a great deal. Keep up the wonderful videos.
Thank you Robin for handling Her the way you did. She's not informed a large portion of people can't afford all the organic "healthy " things alot of the time because they may only have a dollar tree or dollar general were theres no fresh vegetables etc.People do the best they can with what they have.Moderation is key in life ! I personally think everything you make is delicious and healthy!
I have cut down the amount of gifts I do at Christmas. My daughter and grandchildren get a gift card for an experience-they live near a major city and there is a lot to do. With my friends, if we do an exchange, we set a small limit and the gift has to be thrifted or homemade. We are all in our late 50s and have decides that we have too much stuff.
I just found your channel and I love your wonderful thoughts and comments! I am a nutritionist and a seriously frugal shopper! I grow most of my own food. I am concerned about the same things related to foods that your friend Joanne is concerned about, but I approach the topic in a different way. I am on an organic plant-based-diet but do not criticize anyone who chooses to eat a different way. It seems that people often need a health related event to realize what a dynamic effect your diet has on your health. Once you know that, you want everyone else to know it too! Sometimes you just want to grab them and shake them and say (“why can’t you understand?”) People who comment like she did may not understand all the reasons why others can’t or won’t change, but they still mean well and are just frustrated that it seems like nobody else is getting the message. Let’s share a cup of tea!❤
Great response. I also eat a WFPB diet and am concerned about some of the same things Jeanette is. It’s important to remember we are all individuals and have different opinions, tastes, and even knowledge. I’m learning all the time. However, my plant based lifestyle is not a prison sentence and I live in the real world and want to enjoy it. For instance, I recently enjoyed a piece of my grandson’s birthday cake and a big helping of sweet potato soufflé. I enjoyed every bite. I agree that we should enjoy a cup of tea (coffee for me…) and be great friends! ❤ I’m enjoying these Friday confab sessions!

Oh thank you for the great entertainment on my 59 birthday on this great Friday the 13th. You made me laugh pretty hard. I did cry over the lady the that struggles to keep buying presents for her family that broke my heart!! I will keep praying for her and people that are in the same predicament. Thank you for your videos I hope you have a great time with your family this holiday!!
Love how cheerful you are. I am 70 and could care less about comments like that lady. There is always a "Debbie Downer". Someday she will be a senior as well.
My aunt Betty loved earl grey tea, me not so much. I like peppermint tea with a red bird mint to sweeten it. I’d rather not comment on the comment because I was eating milk duds at the time you read it. 🤪😂 If you have to explain to your family why you can’t afford Christmas gifts then it says more about them than you. Obviously they don’t know you or they would know your situation. 🥰
I always wonder "organic" definition. OK so it's not sprayed with chemicals however, is the soil brand new on the farm it's grown in? How do we know if the soil was contaminated prior to planting these? Anyway, just my thought. I am not sure I trust "organic"

Merry Christmas to you too!
Robin, I think you could see me as you called out my Dr Pepper I was drinking while watching you! As for Joanne… I think she needs a sugar fix. 😝 Your “proper lady” accent was spot-on… hilarious!!
Oh my Dr Pepper…who knew!
Thank you for speaking to my last comment about Christmas presents. It meant the world to me to feel heard and understood. Merry Christmas. ❤️
You are so welcome my dear. Your comment moved me and others. I appreciate your candor. God Bless you!
❤
Robin, you handled her just right! She should actually take a walk and release all these personal opinions
of hers! You make my day 😊
I so enjoy your videos. I am close in age to you and just when I thought I knew it all, you teach me something new. (Like saving your mayonnaise lids, as they fit your canning jars)
Just need to add, my soon to be 95 year old mother, who still lives alone, on her own and pays her own bills, etc. lives on SUGAR filled foods.
That is what she likes and that’s what she gets.
On the other hand, I have skinny relatives that exercise daily and have cancer.
Do what’s best for you, and most of all be HAPPY ❤️
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! All the best to your mother! And Happy Christmas!

Not even for kids, no bday or whatever gifts? I would have to buy gifts for my gkids, even just little things. Kids are happy w/simple things.
Sorry for the confusion. Yes, we are getting our Grandchildren gifts for Christmas and birthdays. Just no longer for the adults.
BRAVO Robin for addressed the "food police troll", enjoy your content and your vitality,
Thanks a bunch!
I hope that commenter doesn't break anything when she falls off her high horse!
Haha!

Great video Robin!!!! Keep on keeping on!!!!!!
Thanks for being here!
Thanks for the video! ✨😊✨
You are welcome!
Love you!! So funny, too. Gotta laugh in this world. Appreciate you.
Love you too! Laughter is good medicine.
Hi Robin! I’m one of the unfortunates who can’t eat sugar because of chronic inflammation. Just because I can’t eat something doesn’t mean I should rain all over your parade. Enjoy your tea!😊
The monetary value of gifts should be beside the point. A homemade gift would be very special to me.
Thank you so much for your kind words and understanding!
Same here.
Love ya❤
I will Laura! You as well. It’s nippy out there!
I LOVE your response to Joanne. 👍
Thank you Mary!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! And thank you for your kindness!
I love people like that🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅, she must have TOO much time on her hands!
Yes, indeed a spoonful of sugar is delightful. That response made me subscribe. ❤
Welcome aboard! So glad you’re here.
Love and appreciate your sharing always look forward to your videos!
Thank you so much!
I loved this!! I’ve only recently found your Chanel and I’m absolutely loving you and your channel!😊
I am so glad you found my channel! Thank you Grammy!
Happy Friday Ms. Robin!!! 😊
Happy Friday to you too!
I agree, you do the best you can with what you have!
I love your hat I love tea and coffee and you do what you want it's your life just live it.
And you as well!
I love your hat and your scarf. ❤ I have a yarn store in my house too!
Thank you!
That sounds like a great solution! Thanks a bunch!
I love spending time in the kitchen with you!
Thank you Ann! I’m so glad you’re here.
I love your channel and your personality!
Thank you so much!
Oh you are so lovely!!! I just found you and i so want to thank you for your mind set...... Yes, I like the sugar too!!!
I'm so glad you found me, and thank you for your kind words!
I do like your hat. I have been admiring it. My sister sent me a box of pralines for birthday. Delicious ❤
I'm glad you like the hat!
😍 WOW that first commenter does not live in reality. LOL Loved your response
Sometimes you just want to grab them and shake them and say (“why can’t you understand?”)
People who comment like she did may not understand all the reasons why others can’t or won’t change, but they still mean well and are just frustrated that it seems like nobody else is getting the message.

Happy birthday Donna!! I hope your day was great! I’m so glad you are here. I am thinking of her as well.
Your prayers mean more to me than you know. Thank you! Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas. 💕
😅😅😅..you are funny!
Thank you Christy! The good Lord gave me a sense of humor.
Your the greatest.❤
❤️
I am not giving my adult children gifts this year only the children
Love how cheerful you are. I am 70 and could care less about comments like that lady. There is always a "Debbie Downer". Someday she will be a senior as well.
Couldn’t
Love this!!!
I like milk duds too!
@ 😂🥰
Simmer down, Joanne!....lol
I always wonder "organic" definition. OK so it's not sprayed with chemicals however, is the soil brand new on the farm it's grown in? How do we know if the soil was contaminated prior to planting these? Anyway, just my thought. I am not sure I trust "organic"
I have wondered the same thing.
@@Willnotmakeiteasy Thank you!
You handled it beautifully. I just had a spoonful of sugar in my coffee this morning. 😊
Thank you so much!
