This bingo games look so fun! We’re don’t Christmas shopping, but we do family game night every Sunday night too and we need more games to span the gaps of our kids (9, newly 6, newly 3, and due this spring).
I am trying to be very intentional with the gifts we purchase this year for our girls. Tried to stick to the same something they want, need, wear, read. I did add in something to make and for the first time I am doing a family gift. I’m super excited to see how they like it!
We do the 4 categories also. Sometimes a category will have multiple items if it goes together kinda thing. But for the wear I’ll do hoodies. Pjs and slippers or this year I’m getting them a couple jogger sets. Doing the 4 categories and of course Santa gift has really forced me to scale back in the best way ever lol. And it really made me sit down and truly think about what to get them for Christmas instead of just throwing random stuff in my cart.
Great gifts. I'm sure the kids will have a great Christmas. We have a marble run too. But it isn't glow in the dark. That is cool. My 3 yr olds and my 5 yr old love it.
We went with a more intentional gift giving this year as well. Santa gift, something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read, and something to make/build. So exciting and make us think things through a little bit more instead of just buying this and that and before you know it you have a living room full of gifts and half of them hardly even get played with. I truly enjoy your videos! Thank you for having such a sweet and giving heart! 🥰
My son, 6, is getting legos, an action camera (like a go pro but much cheaper). My daughter,2, is Frozen obsessed and getting Anna and Elsa dolls and playset. Ny kids also get costumes every year for our dress up corner.
My 2 babies are 2 and 4...I immediately had to go order Bug Bingo and Dog Bingo. I think they will love it and it sounds like it will be easy to play together even at their young ages. ♥️
I love how thoughtful all of your gifts are for each child. Pairing down on the number of gifts seems like such a good way to be intentional about what you give. And I love how excited you are about your kids' gifts!
The big ticket item I got my 10 yr old son this year was the Super Mario Maker 2 game for his switch. He wants to be a video game designer when he grows up so all the design your own level or game type things are his favorite amd spark his creativity more than most other games
I love that with homeschooling we get to stay away from some of the ‘trendy’ toys that they want simply because a friend wants it. Two years ago my oldest daughter asked for a 1000 pc puzzle of her very own from Santa, and she ended up getting 3 - from Santa and various family members- because it was such a ‘her’ thing to ask for. We also do the want, need, wear, read gifts, and this year we added play (a game) as well. My oldest (7) is getting a telescope, a new robe (made by me), a tee from a family favorite TH-cam maker channel, a book to use with her telescope, and a logic game. While my youngest (4) is getting a set of homemade wooden water ways, the next level in her reading books, the same tee in her size, the complete brambly hedge book, and the observation postman game. They’re also giving each other some of the maileg mice, and getting lots of Sarah’s silks and Mader tops in their stockings. Can’t wait!
Love all your content! We are doing All creation waits and Unwrapping the Greatest Gift and loving them thanks to your recommendation! New homeschoolers this year and your channel has blessed our life in many ways!
We switched to the 4 gift rule last year and love it! I really like your twist on it! I love the dough kits, I’m looking into them now for my 4 year old. She’s HUGE into anything sensory, her playdoh collection is crazy lol
Would you or have you done a video on your music corner? If not would you tour it and talk about how you have taught all the instruments? My daughter is 7 and wants to play the violin but I have no clue where to start especially with covid and everything being canceled right now! Love your channel and all the peacefulness of it! Merry Christmas
I love that you do a STEAM section! I try my best to always gift educational toys unless it is something the child has asked for by name. Looking forward to next weeks video!
Love this video!!! I always like doing the one thing to read, want, need, etc. But I never know what to do for wear! So we just limit the number of presents but I like your categories!!
Love these ideas!! My son wanted a keyboard and my 4 year old also wants literally everything she sees. But her main gift is a Tots Headquarters playset thing. I also went a little book crazy on my kids this year, so they will be getting lots of books! I got the nocturnal book set you recommended for my 7 year old.
We kept gifts simple this year no tend to go over the top for Christmas and we scaled it way back this year making it more about the memories rather than presents.
Great to see your gift choices. Bella will love the James Herriot books. I read them when I was a child too. A true classic for animal lovers. They made it into a tv series here too. Thanks for sharing.
This video was so fun 😊 We keep Christmas gifts very minimal - three gifts per child, plus stockings. I have a very small budget, but my kids still have a wonderful time and are so thankful for what they receive Their FAVORITE part is giving each other gifts. They get so excited to watch their siblings unwrap their presents from each other. 😍 This year my inlaws bought each child an Advent calendar with little toys for each day (Lego, Hatchimals, Minecraft...). We have tried to encourage them not to buy lots of gifts for the kids. We are very minimalist with everything and try to value experiences over things. This year has been so hard, because our state is still locked down with no end in sight. But we are making the best of it and savoring all the at home Christmas traditions.
I decided to pick up a few things on Amazon's black Friday. Educational toys that I've been putting off getting. But other than that, we decided not to get much this year because they always get spoiled by grandparents more than I would like (I love how you coordinate with the grandparents and I may try to see if I can encourage something similar).
Love the idea of having family pitch in towards a bigger family gift! Although we have a big family, no one gifts anyone. Looks like you put some thought and love behind each gift and thanks for the ideas
That's a great idea to have grandparents do a joint gift for the family! My mom has close to 20 grandchildren that she buys Christmas presents for so I'm sure she would welcome this idea!
I've been wanting to try these kits! I make my own playdoh sensory bins and sensory bins BUT with a newborn and 3 other kids itd be nice to skip a month. We do the wear, need, want, read, and asibling gift. Santa gives only stockings and family gifts.
I look forward to this video each year! The dough boxes are so cool! I think all my kids would love it ages 2-9. My 6 year old wants that Barbie Reveal thing so badly! Love all the family games! -Megan
I love watching these every year to get ideas of gift that are fun and educational and not just toys they play with for two days and forget. Thank you for making these videos.
My almost 10 year old adores animals. All the animals!! I wonder if these books would be on her reading level. They appear geared a little above her current level. Perhaps we should try one first. Thanks for sharing all your ideas again!
That idea for the grandparents going in on a big gift together instead of LOTS of gifts is SO great! I might have to check out that James Herriot book set. I bought my daughter the Narnia series this year for Christmas but her bday is 1 month after Christmas. This was a great video!
ohh my goodness plinko!! I totally watched that when I was home sick. I loved the Price is Right! You found some fun games! We are trying to play a game each night that we are home during advent this year and we are having so much fun!
We do the 4 gifts too but I really like how you changed it up and did something STEAM!! I may have to implement that 😊 You are so full of awesome ideas! That’s why I love your channel SO, SO much!! 💕
I just love how you "categorize" your gifts--it simplifies things so much! And the family trip as a gift is SUCH a fun idea! It's too late for me this year, but I'm definitely stealing some of these ideas for next year.
My 9 year old loves nerf right now too. I scored a few good ones on a Black Friday deal. Thanks for the STEAM gift ideas! I’m definitely picking up the laser maze now.
I love how much your kids LOVE to read! Very inspiring and I hope my daughter loves to read like that! i love the young, wild, and Freidman sensory boxes! My daughter is sitting next to me and she seen them and immediately wanted one! She's 5 so I am going to go check them out! Thank you for sharing!
You have so many great ideas!! I especially appreciate how you are sooo organized in your gift giving! I have 11 children and after last Christmas I was really trying to figure out a way to downsize on the amount of toys and other stuff we all get at this time of year! We originally decided to do just 1 really wanted gift for Christmas and then a Family Vacation! Unfortunately, it was supposed to be a cruise!☹️ So back to square one! I am really thinking of using your 4 gifts idea!! That would really cut the amounts down! Looking forward to your Stocking Gifts video next!!🤗
Love these videos ! I always get my kids a logic game each for christmas , and family games . Now I want to do secret sibling with my kids . Thanks for all the great ideas .
My kids would love the play dough kits. I just seen they had a super cute nativity kit that's sold out. Loved your kids choices! My kids are into paw patrol and pj masks this year. LOL
So love your videos! I can totally relate to the 3 year old wanting everything. My 3 year old girlie has successfully circled everything in the Amazon, Target, and Walmart mailers multiple times in different colors. I finally had to hide them from her because the poor pages couldn't take any more! I didn't dare show her the rainbow resource christmas book!
I love that you do family gifts as well . My kiddos love okay dough kits ( even catch my 11 year old playing along sometimes ) so I'd be thrilled to win !
Thanks so much! My little guy is getting a picasso tiles race game (it is stem because he can build it lots of ways and he loves all his magnetic blocks), a telescope, Usborne PeeK inside books set, and ofcourse because he is a boy -- an old-fashioned Hot Wheels Car Hauler and Paw Patrol Ultimate Police Cruiser (only because Mama couponed out and got it at Target for $28.95!!!). He got a bunch of clothes because he had a growth spurt, but we don't really do clothes for Christmas except pajamas and an occasional special item like a cartoon t-shirt or something he has asked for). Also, you taught me so much about stockings -- his will be so fun this year and educational -- cannot wait to see what you get your kiddos!
I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old !!!! I loved these ideas and I think the creative women owned box is an amazing idea!!! I hope I win one but im also going to be checking those out for my kids!!! ❤
Love your videos! I get so excited when a new video is uploaded! Love seeing this gift video each year, it gives me great ideas. Thank you for being you and inspiring our homeschooling :)
My 8 year old son is getting a Nerf gun with glow in the dark bullets, magnatiles to add to a set he got last year, a handmade wooden piggy bank with 4 slots engraved "Save Tithe Give Spend", and an Adidas sweatshirt he's been wanting for a few months. From his Aunt & Uncle he's getting a book of the best photography of WW2 planes (one of his obsessions) & then lots of fun stuff in his stocking. I always go all out for his stocking so I can't wait for your stocking video! He's been loving the Wally McDoogle books (a Christian book series from the 90's) so he's getting the next one in that series & a magnifying glass. He's going to geek out over that 😆. Of course some candy, a mini version of the game simon & a gemstone dig kit from "Santa" even though he knows he's not real. We still pretend 😉
I love seeing these types of videos- makes me so excited! We are actually done shopping for our 4 kids- stockings and all! I am thinking I may need to add some more games now 😂 😏 My oldest is 11yo as well, and it was sad when he stopped asking for toys 😭 He loves video games but he’s also very recently gotten into (older age) Legos- his expensive gift was the LEGO VW Beetle set. Still counts as a toy, right? 😭 I honestly try to do the 4 gift limit every year but I just can’t 🤦🏻♀️ So everyone will have their big gift (LEGO VW for 11yo, lego bowsers castle for 8yo son, Anna/Elsa dress up dolls for 6yo daughter (she is Frozen/Disney princess obsessed!) and a dancing Mickey and little trampoline for our 2yo son. I'm loving the ideas. I have something they need, something they want and something to wear. Didn't thought about the STEAM part... Might add one.
I also have the something to read part.
That space kit is so cool! My 3 yr old would go crazy over it
We do the 4 categories also. Sometimes a category will have multiple items if it goes together kinda thing.

Love the idea about the big group gift. My MIL always wants to buy them a ton of toys.
I can’t tell you how many times I had to pause this video because my kiddo kept coming in “whatcha watching mom??” 🤣🤣
My son, 6, is getting legos, an action camera (like a go pro but much cheaper). My daughter,2, is Frozen obsessed and getting Anna and Elsa dolls and playset. Ny kids also get costumes every year for our dress up corner.

Girl, every sick day for me as a teen too! Price is right and little house on the prarie! haha. PLINKO is the best! I will have to find!

"She wants everything she sees." My daughter is 11 and can sometimes be the same way. lol

Yep level 12 we are all hoping there is no level 13 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
We do this as well with our children. Keeping our focus on what’s most important.
I love the idea of doing board games as a together gift to build family community! I can totally make that work this year. Thanks for the great idea!
The four gift rule with one big gift has been a huge blessing to our family too! Thank you for sharing!
Love seeing your STEAM and game ideas. My kids range from 3 to 12 and bringing those gaps isn't always easy.
That's a great idea to have grandparents do a joint gift for the family! My mom has close to 20 grandchildren that she buys Christmas presents for so I'm sure she would welcome this idea!
I love the balance in this planning! So intentional and restful
Love the play dough kits. Kids each picked one out today that they would like to have.
I've been wanting to try these kits! I make my own playdoh sensory bins and sensory bins BUT with a newborn and 3 other kids itd be nice to skip a month.

I love your gift ideas! I needed some ideas for my 4 year old and she also wants "everything" she sees!
*I almost got my daughter that LOL Glamper but we did the airplane instead! Such fun gifts, thanks for sharing!*
I purchased Bird Bingo which we opened yesterday. We love it. So much fun. Love the memories we are creating. Thank you for the game suggestion.
My almost 10 year old adores animals. All the animals!!
I wonder if these books would be on her reading level. They appear geared a little above her current level. Perhaps we should try one first.
Thanks for sharing all your ideas again!

And the gift I'm most excited about giving is a bow and arrow set from Treasures From Jennifer to my 5 year old boy. He is going to freak out 😁
ohh my goodness plinko!! I totally watched that when I was home sick. I loved the Price is Right! You found some fun games! We are trying to play a game each night that we are home during advent this year and we are having so much fun!
I like your STEAM category. I was also going to try the want, need, wear, read and I couldn't think of anything for the kids for the wear category.
Great ideas , especially for my 4 year old girl. It’s always a struggle to get fun but useful gifts for kids.
Wonderful ideas, practical and fun gifts. Thanks for sharing great ideas!
We do the 4 gifts too but I really like how you changed it up and did something STEAM!! I may have to implement that 😊 You are so full of awesome ideas! That’s why I love your channel SO, SO much!! 💕

I am still shopping for all of my kids, I love your gift guides for such great ideas!
Can you do a review on the Lego storage bag, or tell me you thoughts. I can't find any videos about it on TH-cam.

You always put so much thought into what you give your kids!
I have been eyeing those dough kits since I learned about them from you! Great ideas! Thank you!
Always wanted try Young, Wild and Friedman
I love seeing these types of videos- makes me so excited! We are actually done shopping for our 4 kids- stockings and all! I am thinking I may need to add some more games now 😂 😏 My oldest is 11yo as well, and it was sad when he stopped asking for toys 😭 He loves video games but he’s also very recently gotten into (older age) Legos- his expensive gift was the LEGO VW Beetle set. Still counts as a toy, right? 😭
I honestly try to do the 4 gift limit every year but I just can’t 🤦🏻♀️ So everyone will have their big gift (LEGO VW for 11yo, lego bowsers castle for 8yo son, Anna/Elsa dress up dolls for 6yo daughter (she is Frozen/Disney princess obsessed!) and a dancing Mickey and little trampoline for our 2yo son. Plus, a million other things more it seems 😂 Each kiddo gets several books each as well. We got a couple of games and a ukulele set as joint gifts too! I’m so excited 😍🎄
I write the longest comments- I’m sorry 😂
Love the family games you picked!
Absolutely love something STEAM!
Your game recommendations are so helpful! They always end up being a hit ❤️
I always LOVE your gift videos, they give me so many ideas for my kids!
